I live my sailing adventures through you two, and your little dog too! Never had the opportunity to sail, but I study all the techniques and maneuvers required to operate a sailboat. Your videos help me to mentally predict your sailing response to the wind and tides, and learn as you’ve solved so many problems that sailors have encountered. As tough as your life is, you’re living our dreams of living on a sailboat. Thank you so much.

One of the things I like most about your videos is the honesty and straightforward “telling” of how it is to be navigating new situations. The “what you are thinking” along with what you are doing. It really adds to the sense of being along with you on your journey.

I have been by the station in Norfolk 10-12 times and it always fills with with pride. Then again I am a Marine. Just south of there is the sub station, hope you get a look at that.

I think we were on the same dock as you in Back Creek in mid to late October. We were helping deliver a trawler to Florida. We went inside almost all the way and I thought my eyes were going to pop out of their sockets after a week. Historically, we sailed back and forth - Chesapeake to the Caribbean and back every year on our sailboat seasonally for about ten years but we are now boat less. You are a little late to be starting South but once you cross the stream every thing will be fine. Don’t go to far south before crossing the stream!

The ancient mongols defined Twilight as when you couldn't tell a white goat hair from a black one and the opposite for dawn. That seemed as good a definition as any to me. : ) I've sailed the coast of Alaska for over 25 years. For cold weather I bring the 12 volt heated jacket I use for riding my motorcycle, You just need a 12v power plug for it and it has a variable temp control that goes from toasty warm to easy bake oven. : ) You can also get heated gloves and pants that all plug into the same thermostat. They are fairly thin and you won't need to wear as much bulk to stay warm. I've woke up to a foot of snow on the deck in the morning sailing in the spring and fall in Alaska. : ) Thanks for the video. Sail ON!
