Wow , that was a brilliant conversation, really outstanding completely blown my mind , I suppose it helps with three nice souls talking with each other .
2014, I was diagnosed with Degenerative Brain Disease. My father died in 2014. A cranial autopsy revealed frontal temporal dementia. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2015. My older and sister are having cognitive difficulties. January 2022, I went on Ketogenic diet, ate one 2k calorie meal per day (meat, fish, eggs, non-starch vegetables) over 4 hours, fasted 20 hours a day, walked 8 miles every other day. October 2022, lost 73 lbs, got off 7 medications I had been on for 20+ years and had best blood test results ever. Two years 9 months later, I still follow the same lifestyle. I’m doing so much better cognitively. Alzheimer’s/Dementia is now considered type 3 diabetes. Consider changing what you eat and your level of exercise as a potential defense against diseases.
British families are sending elderly relatives with dementia overseas to Thailand in a small but growing trend. Researchers visiting private care homes in Chiang Mai have found eight homes where guests from the UK are living thousands of miles away from their families, because suitable care in their home country was impossible to find or afford. Thailand already has a long history of medical tourism and it’s now setting itself up as an international hub for dementia care. His getting well by giving the Thai lady helps for informing her about the waters & understanding adjustments are so great. He and she are getting well by following the ways she's going to follow his way as a thanks for taking care of him too.
I am always curious what some people consider a "massive" amount to be scammed for. And good feel good story. Glad this service is around. I am not ready to give up my water bottles yet!🤣🤣🤣
Great vid and was comforted how they give each other mutual support. I'm nearly 70 and always wonder about my care needs if I become physically or mentally impaired.
Pai is definitely on my list of places to check out, pattaya was driving me nuts..nice to see you promoting your own stuff Ryan.. Vincent and pim seem to have a nice life there.
This is a beautiful story.......Similar care for this gentleman would be extremely expensive in America, and I would dare to say this nice Thai lady does a much better job than a similar caregiver in the States. I hope many people see this video and realize there's some caregiving options in Thailand that can greatly enhance quality of life while preventing bankruptcy. Excellent content, and the interview was superb.
I’m glad to know that home care agencies exist in Chiang Mai and are affordable. Keeping elderly people at home is so much more humane than facilities are based on my experience of caring for my parents at home.
Interesting vid. As far as water goes technically you need to run a RO filter to remove these forever chemicals and microplastics. Ideally with with pre-filters for efficiency then remineralize at the end of the process
I looked after my father for 3 years with Dementia and Alzheimer's, 2 years full time until his passing. This lady deserves a medal, she knows as a nurse it is going to become much more difficult as time passes and she will be lucky if she gets 4 hours sleep consecutively each night, good luck to them both, chok dee krab 📿🙏
that really good,my relative found a boyfriend from the age concern day centres. Anyway was a nightmare as she had dementia she bought him a brand new car after knowing him a week, varies other hings like a world cruise, and then he moved in and you get the picture. Though age concern did step in warned everyone but by then was too late. He totally scammed her So in the end she had to go into full time care as there were elderly western men trying it on with her all the time, was frightening have to be really careful and it sad that she had to go into a home.
Umm I have a normal relationship with my Thai girlfriend for 5 years, I’am 71 and she is 43, so can relate to this relationship, certainly regarding the spiritual side, she prays and meditates everyday and is a female monk at a local temple for 3 weeks every year. Regarding the water, when I clean my teeth I don’t rinse with water as I found my fillings fell out after a month when I first visited Thailand 20 years ago. 🤣. So far after 5 years of living here they are fine! Luckily I enjoy playing Badminton, Pickleball, Beach Paddle, which is all part of my exercise regimen. It’s so important to keep active everyday!
It is quite common for individuals to adopt the traditional path of marriage, family, and career during their youth, only to experience divorce and subsequently remarry or remain single. However, some individuals may harbor bitterness from past relationships, making them hesitant to embark on a new romantic journey. While I understand their apprehension, I have adopted a different perspective. I chose to remain single until my forties, at which time I cultivated a fulfilling and loving relationship that will undoubtedly accompany me throughout my remaining years. The prospect of relying on strangers in my declining years fills me with apprehension. My desire is to spend my golden years in the embrace of someone I deeply love. At 70 life is still great but I can tell that I am nearer the end than I am the beginning and feel increasingly blessed to not be alone.
Thank you Ryan, Vincent, and Pen. Vincent needs your lions mane fruiting body mushrooms, as they are known to help with Alzheimer's. Personally I would want a little more than just cooking, shopping, and cleaning. Odd to me the necessity of saying "we are not a couple". Saving face in Pai? Of course lifestyle wise i am the opposite of someone seeking "monk" spiritually. Good he can still do the chiropractic treatments. Peace, Love, and conversations with interesting people living in Pai . PS Frankly did not see any cognitive decline, He seems to remember perfectly all the minerals you need in water and how to counteract their acidity. No worries. Happy to hear the stories as always. Keep up the good work Ryan.
Hi Ryan i really enjoyed this video Vincent and pen seems beautiful people wish they had a channel I just don’t know if I’d have the nerve to have my neck cracked 😊Vincent certainly doesn’t waste time on doing it he’s like lighting thank you for sharing your video
I totally understand Vincent, playing drums, riding motorbikes and fishing keep my mind focussed. It's like a form of meditation. It keeps my spiritual mind at the forefront 🙂
He should have his brain scan. It may be a minor stroke that does not display any major symptoms. My mom had a problem with memory and my siblings who took care of her were not aware of the problem. Later, when I took care of her and read her medical report, and found out what they found on her brain scan.
A very interesting story and great that people can be looked after with great care and compassion.. Not sure about all the trouble Vincent goes to regarding water. We have 6 large bottles of water delivered regularly, they take away the empties and obviously reuse them when they are refilled and it's very cheap.
With the water, it's all about keeping one's blood at the correct "Ph" level. I've read that the bottled water has a low (I think) Ph level and drinking too much can lower the blood Ph level, potentially leading to health issues.
Personally I don’t know, nor do I follow an alkali diet, but I asked Chat GPT regarding dairy out of interest - seems it’s abit of a debate The idea that dairy is acidic comes from its classification as "acid-forming" in the body, which is based on the **potential renal acid load (PRAL)** system. The PRAL of a food measures how it affects the body's acid-base balance after digestion and metabolism, not necessarily its pH before consumption. ### Evidence and research: 1. **PRAL Concept**: - Dairy products have a positive PRAL score, indicating they are acid-forming. This is because dairy contains proteins (like casein) and phosphorus, which produce acidic byproducts like sulfuric and phosphoric acids when metabolized. For example, cheese and yogurt have higher PRAL values than milk, which means they are more acid-forming. 2. **Effects on Calcium Excretion**: - Some studies suggest that acidic foods like dairy may increase calcium excretion in urine, which has led to theories that high dairy intake could contribute to bone demineralization over time. However, this is still debated, and many researchers argue that dairy is beneficial for bone health due to its high calcium content. 3. **Acid-Alkaline Diet Theory**: - Proponents of the acid-alkaline diet argue that consuming too many acid-forming foods like dairy may lead to a more acidic environment in the body, contributing to health issues such as inflammation, osteoporosis, and kidney stress. However, most mainstream health experts emphasize that the body regulates its pH levels tightly, primarily through the kidneys and lungs, making the impact of dietary acid relatively minimal. 4. **Clinical Research**: - A 2011 review in the *Journal of Environmental and Public Health* concluded that while dairy and other animal products are acid-forming, there is insufficient evidence to suggest that this significantly impacts overall health or contributes to diseases like osteoporosis in healthy individuals. The body effectively buffers and manages acid load through homeostatic mechanisms. In summary, dairy is considered acid-forming based on its metabolic byproducts, but the evidence for its health implications due to acidity is mixed and often overshadowed by its nutrient content, particularly calcium.

I can totally understand this way of living. Taking care of another person is nothing to be ashamed of. One hand washes the other.

Thank you for sharing, very interesting. I love Pen's trousers. I get strange looks wearing my Tai trousers in the UK (with thermals under them) 😂

Amazing Thailand! Such caring people in such a beautiful place. I am so happy/lucky to live here
Great video Ryan, in my opinion, one of your best and I definitely think it's the best interview you've done.
Great attitude for this gentleman. How lucky he is to have found his caretaker. I didn’t hear the cost of her services?

Sorry to break it to him but dairy is not acidic. Zero scientific evidence to back that up.
