I enjoy your videos Ryan! Keep up the good work👍 I remember seeing lots of people wearing masks pre-covid in busy places like Bangkok and Chiang Mai and I was told it was because of the poor air quality. At that point I had never seen anyobody wearing masks on the street in the UK .
G'day Ryan, l was trained to wear masks in fire fighting for years. Only p3/pn95 masks can stop small particles/aerosol but must be sealed completely. And you have to change it every 20 minutes because the moisture/bacteria builds up and becomes detrimental to your health causing lung and respiratory infections.

While you're there Ryan. Head to Lemon Tree. Best food I've ever eaten in Thailand. Hope it's still there! It was really popular. Opposite Central Mall. If you get chance, check it out. So delicious
Same for us mate, our aim for the business is to support our family and give a little security and not to get rich here. My wife is currently a teacher but will retire early about 6 years later and my overseas income is erratic and I'm way off pension age so it's important to build something that can replace current incomes. As you know we have a few staff doing all the work for us and we know how lucky we are having such a productive, reliable, hard working team as I've seen many other expats here trying to get good staff but not been able to.
Informative interesting conversation again today Ryan. Happy to see and hear more about your business journey and your philosophy on wealth and money is noble. Yes, masks...I do not wear them anymore but I always have a handkerchief to cover my nose when I walk by the bus exhaust and especially coal burning barbecues. Many Thais wear masks when on a motorbike and likely it is to reduce breathing pollution or flying insects. Happy travels homeward. Peace and Love Y'all
when i went to thailand for a month in may, i didn't really see every 711 employee wearing masks, in udom suk, asok, none of them wore masks. but my gf has been wearing masks for far before covid because the car fumes in Bangkok would irritate her throat if she didn't. also talking about work, noticed more and more foreigners working along the EEC for multinationals, another way in if someone has the experience/education.
Watching people riding motorbikes with no helmet and a surgical mask that doesn't filter out the pollution made me laugh when I lived in Chiang Mai. That was before COVID too.
"Yes, we are. I live in Chiang Mai, and I always wear a helmet for safety. We mostly wear masks to protect ourselves from the sun, rather than worrying too much about the smoke. Thai people are more concerned about staying out of the sun." Because we are concerned about getting darker from the sunfunny na but most true
A few more reasons that perhaps people are forgetting that masks are used is to avoid direct sun exposure as lighter skin is desirable as is un-blemished or unscarred skin that often comes with sun, heat and exposure to wind and material in the air that may hit the face and neck. Wind will also dry out the skin and is harder to recuperate when continuously exposed. This also applies when making efforts to keep even skin color or tone….. anyone who rides often also knows how much the face and neck collect dirt and grit that will also make it harder to maintain healthy, moisturized skin with even tone.

I plan to come to Thailand on a non-o and have an extension based on marriage. I think I know what I want to do for work. And the reason for what causes desire for money is people who have a sense of insecurity do not consider what they have enough. They always compare themselves with other people and end up feeling inadequate. They want to measure up to a certain standard and this drives an excessive desire to make money. Including when covid ends up and still continuing only for some original sickness, I'm still wearing masks by protecting myself including making sense for them to understand that lives are important for us to be living without staying in any hospitals.
Quite right 👍
