    Why do foreigners leave Thailand? This video offers perspective as to why, including interviews with foreigners who lived in Thailand 10+ years.
Also interviewed, a local marriage counselor and attorney, who offer tips to help avoid common issues when living in Thailand as a foreigner.
What mistakes do you see foreigners make most often when moving to Thailand? Please include in comments below.

      I’m 53 ready to retire tomorrow have plenty of money to go to Thailand. I’ve been following your videos along with many others. The one thing that scares me is they say that people from the United States cannot live long-term and Thailand because they keep getting sick for some reason. Obviously you have proven that wrong, but is there any truth to it??? ❤❤❤❤ also, can you explain the marijuana legalities? I see it in a lot of your shots TH-cam won’t care you won’t get in trouble.!!! ❤❤❤

      @@Trump-dj3xu If you have the money to live in Thailand, why don't you take a holiday first, for a few months travelling.
      I think the weed will be stopped this year, but that will not stop people from buying it, the government made a big mistake not controlling it better.

      Potentially such a lot of wisdom, maybe make the vid less about yourself (standing in the frame) and give the interviewees more time

    I like your rapid clip pace, you don’t waste footage, you get to the point and onto the next. It doesn’t move along too fast, just enough to keep viewers engaged. And do a great job blending your footage from diff times and areas to sew your store timeline together. And getting out front of people with your camera, a lot of youtubers shy away from approaching people and that actually makes the best content.

    (About the police checkpoint in this video at 08:38) they pulled over every single foreigner, and Thais without helmets. They did not honor my 🏍 license from a foreign country. Usually, they honor it, and usually when wearing a helmet there is no issue with being stopped. In the meantime, a Thai license is easy to get, but there is downtime between application and delivery. Hence, 'the Thailand tourist tax'.

    • @deanwhitehead
      @deanwhitehead 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    So “due diligence” allows foreigners to buy property in their own name? Just asking because marriage is definitely not on my radar.

    • @PhilipJames360
      @PhilipJames360  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The attorney from the video shared some bad stories about foreigners and real estate transactions (purchases), that could have been avoided with a legal consultant on board 'due diligence". If I were to buy in Thailand, would definitely consider an attorney, and not a girl or agency, to help me navigate and make sure my best interests are preserved.

    • @PhilipJames360
      @PhilipJames360  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Simple difference: Expats have money and options. Immigrants are looking for better opportunities to live and work.
      An immigrant moves to another country because they need better jobs or a safer life. They stay in the new country to earn money and start over.
      An expat is someone who moves to another country but doesn’t rely on it for money. They usually have good income or savings and are looking for a different lifestyle or experience. They can always go back home if they want.

  • @HerbertSchnurpfeil
    @HerbertSchnurpfeil 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Well , the biggest mistake ( my opinion only ) is moving to Thailand. ....when you can go there as a tourist for any time you have in your situation and leave again. I mean ,look at the scene showing in the video : that Bangla walking street in Phuket. Cannabis shop. Kebap. I mean , the sheer ugliness of it , not Thai at all , and see the guys sitting in them bars , OMG ! and that beach the one interviewee talks about , shadeless and hot , who would sit there in the sun and get burned ? I once swam in Kata beach , and got stung by them things in the water , no thank you.Where I live , retired , not my born country , I have trees and shade on the coast and clear water with no critters in it that sting , and terrific food , and mostly no sweating weather , and no bars and girls and the ex-pats that frequent them , and beautiful OLD arquitecture. costs a little more ( or not , depending on youse bar-bills ) and if you European no problem with visa and all that entails. I like Thailand , well the North , and will go there again no doubt . but as a tourist.
