Why do foreigners leave Thailand? This video offers perspective as to why, including interviews with foreigners who lived in Thailand 10+ years. Also interviewed, a local marriage counselor and attorney, who offer tips to help avoid common issues when living in Thailand as a foreigner. What mistakes do you see foreigners make most often when moving to Thailand? Please include in comments below.
I’m 53 ready to retire tomorrow have plenty of money to go to Thailand. I’ve been following your videos along with many others. The one thing that scares me is they say that people from the United States cannot live long-term and Thailand because they keep getting sick for some reason. Obviously you have proven that wrong, but is there any truth to it??? ❤❤❤❤ also, can you explain the marijuana legalities? I see it in a lot of your shots TH-cam won’t care you won’t get in trouble.!!! ❤❤❤
Do you know what's going on with cannabis? Legal still? See any shops for that around?
สวัสดีครับ🇹🇭
@@Trump-dj3xu If you have the money to live in Thailand, why don't you take a holiday first, for a few months travelling.
I think the weed will be stopped this year, but that will not stop people from buying it, the government made a big mistake not controlling it better.
Thanks for coming up to Thai Mueang. Great video. See you next time you're up this way Philip.
Thank you Tim, and thanks for the introduction to your cool neighborhood and Aquella Golf Course. Looking forward to another visit with you there and lunch.

Yes! Tim's shirt is 💯
Simplified: boredom & broken heart
I've heard a lot of foreigners say they gonna retire here with beach sunset and beer, in my mind I was like that's a one week holiday not retirement.
I came from California 1-1/2 year ago. My expectations coming here was to find a completely different way of life. I love Thailand I love Thai people and culture. I'll never go back to usa
Great video, thank you..I love how you ignored that tourist and didn't feed into her attention seeking nature😊
Hi Philip san. I really love your T-shirt👕旅人✨ 17:29
Thank you Nampla Brother, looking forward to seeing you in Bangkok next week.
Hi Philip! What did the cops bust you for that you had to pay 1000 baht? You were wearing a helmet so it couldn't be a helmet fine.
Prob didn’t have a Thai licence
Kevin, this checkpoint pulled over every single foreigner and Thais without helmets. They did not honor my 🏍️ license from a foreign country. Usually, they honor it, and usually when wearing a helmet there is no issue with being stopped. In the meantime, a Thai license is easy to get, but there is downtime between application and delivery.
I was pulled over in Bangkok randomly and asked to see my licence, i showed Australian licence and was on my way, that’s Thailand
So “due diligence” allows foreigners to buy property in their own name? Just asking because marriage is definitely not on my radar.
The attorney from the video shared some bad stories about foreigners and real estate transactions (purchases), that could have been avoided with a legal consultant on board 'due diligence". If I were to buy in Thailand, would definitely consider an attorney, and not a girl or agency, to help me navigate and make sure my best interests are preserved.
Great tips for every country. But why did you get pulled over by the police, you were wearing a helmet. Do you not have an international drivers license?
Ayngelina, this checkpoint was unusual as I never had a problem with it before. On this day, they were pulling over every single foreigner, and Thais without helmets. They did not honor my license from a foreign country. Usually, they honor it, and usually when wearing a helmet there is no issue with being stopped. In the meantime, am getting my Thai license!
These farang guys are not expats and they are Vloggers or Backpackers.🤫
Biggest mistake- take their attitude and mentality with them or the idea that they can change Thailand.
Hey man, are you on TRT, bro?
ha, TRT is quite common in the Phuket fitness circles. In an upcoming video will share why I am not on TRT (natural levels already high) and why monitoring blood levels is much easier and less expensive in Thailand compared to the U.S.
The attorney saying that you're guilty until proven innocent? That doesn't seem right. Doubt you can accuse someone of theft without any proof at all.
good luck to you, sir.
แต่นี่เป็นแค่หลักการการปฏิบัติจริงๆอาจเพิ่มหรือลดก็ได้จำนวนเงิน
(About the police checkpoint in this video at 08:38) they pulled over every single foreigner, and Thais without helmets. They did not honor my 🏍 license from a foreign country. Usually, they honor it, and usually when wearing a helmet there is no issue with being stopped. In the meantime, a Thai license is easy to get, but there is downtime between application and delivery. Hence, 'the Thailand tourist tax'.
Tim is right, find something to do, but for goodness sake don't be yet another vlogger, we are vlogged out!
Odd how you left out WHY you were pulled over. Seems like you enjoy justifying BS and leaving out whatever point you choose.
90% fails in Thailand doing business. Its a scam. LOL
