Back in the day, when I purchased my first home to live-in; that was Thailand in the early 1990s, first mortgages with rates of 8 to 9% and 9% to 10% were typical. People will have to accept the possibility that we won't ever return to 3%. If sellers must sell, home prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. Pretty sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts.
If anything, it'll get worse. Very soon, affordable housing will no longer be affordable. So anything anyone want to do, I will advise they do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow. Until the Fed clamps down even further, I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't halfway rip the band-aid off.
Home prices will come down eventually, but for now; get your money (as much as you can) out of the housing market and get into the financial markets or gold. The new mortgage rates are crazy, add to that the recession and the fact that mortgage guidelines are getting more difficult. Home prices will need to fall by a minimum of 40% (more like 50%) before the market normalizes. If you are in cross roads or need sincere advise on the best moves to take now its best you seek an independent advisor who knows about the financial markets.

Buying a home on a ground lease is essentially the same as signing a lease with a large upfront payment. Its not the same as ownership, no matter how you try to frame it. Sure, you may own the house itself, but if you ever get evicted from the land, you will have to find a way to pick the house up and move it to another piece of land, or forfeit it entirely to the landlord. If the plan is to sell the house, then you'll need to find a buyer who is willing to purchase the home subject to the ground lease. That makes for a slim group of possible buyers. And this is assuming there is not some type of loophole in the lease which reverts any appurtenances or fixtures to the landowner upon lease termination.
And if the plan is to try to get the landowner to sell their land to the future party you are trying to sell to, this makes for a complex negotiation and stressful transaction with several parties involved.
Even if not enforceable, all of this has been renegotiated and in the written agreements that are recorded with the land office. We know there are risks around enforcement of any agreements, but as written we are protected.
I'm Thai. I know how they doing business. NOBODY will get evicted here. It hard to sell 3 million baht house to local. That why they are target foreigners. Thanks for watching. Even if you rent, it is a great option as well. We didn't want to move homes often, plus a home we own is better maintained than a rental.
I have to say, I have looked at many U-tube videos on places to retire. All over the world because I’m 55 and need to know where I want to go. Each and every video I’ve seen have always left out important information. Such as total cost, property taxes, land ownership etc. . This is also the first time I have ever subscribed to a video because you both have provided everything a person needs to know about actually owning and living in the place you chose! You have each other and I will assume that there is a out of the ordinary bond between you two... All the best!
Just FYI- The renewal option in a 30 year lease agreement is not a lease right or option given under Thai property laws to create a longer lease term but a simple promise of the current owner to give a new lease when the registered 30 year term of the lease runs out. Including a renewal option (or any number of renewal options) in a lease agreement is based on the freedom of contract between the parties but says nothing about the enforceability of this promise or options when the registered 30 year lease term actually finishes. At that time the first 30 year lease is terminated and the parties must enter into a new lease which again must be registered with the Land Registry.
Who cares that the contract doesn't say anything about the enforceability after 30 years. They will be dead. Moreover, it was only $100,000. Big freaking deal.
Congratulations Dave & Kim on your home purchase. The real beautiful thing about the purchase is that there was no 30 to 60 day escrow. When we purchased our home, we paid cash and we got the keys that day. America is so far behind the rest of the world. Land lease is awesome.
Congratulations on your new home! We loved Hua Hin, took the train all the way down from Chiang Mai and spent a few days! I have been to Chiang Mai before, Kim has not... really nice, especially liked the mountains. I am in Oceanside right bow as I had to fly home unexpectedly for a family thing. Thanks for the comment.
Why are some people so confused? Land lease houses is common in Thailand. The longest a single lease can be registered in Thailand is 30 years. This is legit. It's different from buying a house in Thai wife/husband name.
Some people are so against doing what we did, saying we will lose it all, or the government will take it. I guess we will deal with it if it happens. Until then we are loving it :)
I just found your channel and very much appreciate the solid information you provided about your home purchase. Thank you. As I am very interested in spending some time there in the near future, I’ll view some more of your videos so as not to duplicate questions that may have already been answered. Blessings to you in your new home. 🙏🏽
Putting into perspective the issue of a land lease, I believe even when you own something in this world you are only the keeper of it temporarily. We are all just passing through for a while so to me the land lease sounds fine . By the way your house is very nice ! I saw Kimberlys video on it also and thought it was a good choice.
In Australia even if you buy the land if the government decides they need it they can take it off you and pay you the median price for the land at the time they "buy" it off you, it happened a few years ago in my town something like 10+ homes were "brought" back from the government to build a bridge, people protested took it to court but in the end they lost their homes and money because the compensation wasn't nearly enough. So it happens whether you "own" the land or not
@@wphillips7217 I honestly don't get why people are so put off by long term land rentals then, you would probably have more rights and protections in place as a long term land tennant with a decent contract than the average land owner, this guy said his kids still had the option to inherit the house with the contract they have.
Hua Hin is the perfect place to be home for every one , plenty of good quality hospitals near by , many of good restaurants around, well known convenience stores are every corners , not more than 20 minutes to go to the clean and beautiful beaches also mountains , fresh air , pollution…forget it but the most valuable thing is … the people there .. they are so nice..
Welcome to Huahin! Beautiful house and location indeed. Have a happy retirement life ❤❤. Your house has changed my mind to retire there instead of England 😁
Great info , as a fellow realtor (Canada) we are conditioned to own the land a house is built on, your explanation in this video makes sense for a retiree who gets to live in a warm climate in a great house with less expense. Bonus is you can will it to your family... a new approach to retiring.
I'm looking into the prospect of being a manager/maintenance for a foreigner owned property when I move to Thailand. Not sure, but I do know I don't have the ability to be one of these online personalities :). It would be such a great experience to have someone to give opinions and guidance when I get there.
Hi Dave & Kim.. I have just returned from Hua Hin and found your wonderful videos on this great location. Thank you for sharing the information on locations beaches restaurants in the Hua Hin region. It was our first time to visit and me and my wife are already planning our return trip. Definitely the best Resort we have been to and can't wait to return. Keep up the good work and best wishes in your new property.
Yeah house is great and what you done makes a lot of sense . The only think that would bother is that at the moment you are only there for a 12 month renewable visa unless you bought an elite visa . If they ever change the retirement visa , problems may occur .
Hey guys, congrats on your new home. I am inspired by your adventures, having moved around the world a lot and getting tired of the HUGE cost of living we experience in westernised countries. I am recently retired and slowly running out of my retirement fund and unable to afford to buy a house here in New Zealand, but I do have enough to buy in Thailand, which I think is going to be my next move. So thanks for the excellent tips and I hope to come see you some time this year when I come on a fact finding trip of Hua Hin. Keep up the cool videos 👍 Pete 'The Roaming Kiwi' 😉
Expats are allowed to "Buy" a house unless the land is owned by their Thai spouse and the house is then built for the expat. Other than that a leasing option is available or purchase through a Thai Company,( which would need to have a 51% Thai share holder) but this option is now being looked at as a potential loop hole, by the government. We had our house built as part of a land / house package in a newly developed village. As such, because the land couldn't be purchased separately and the costs (price) was for the house and land, the property was assigned to my Thai wife. Now still living in the house for over 10 years. No big issues here.
Hi Dave & Kim! Found this video today. Really glad to see an American R.E. professional discuss the issue of the land-lease, and with your own clever adjustments, describe a favorable/acceptable outcome. This gives me much optimism for reconsidering it (buying) myself. I look fwd to your new videos; will check out your others. Some topics if you need ideas: getting stuff fixed like plumbing, tilework, electrical... both via professionals & DIY (any home improvement stores?). If you wanted to add on a room or stand-alone garage, is it allowed? Just ideas. Thanks much!
Getting good "tradesmen" in Thailand is a real problem. They usually don't respect your property and damage things. If you are good at DIY then you are ok but otherwise it's a real problem unless you are able to reduce your standards considerably. Things here are cheap but quality is usually very poor. Just be aware it is not a Western country and so you will not get the same service as in a Western country, and if you have problems you do not have a legal system that will support you as a foreigner. Just things you need to be aware of!
My biggest suggestion is do as much homework and find the best trust worthy people to help you. This decision works for us and lots of others we know. Best wishes.
@@thailandsnippets901 Thank you for that info. It is just as I expected, so at least now I know. My wifes mom was born in Thailand and were going to make the move in three years (we live in New York state). My wife will be applying to get dual citizenship this summer. Great video and info. Thank you!!
Great story. The tax situation tells you just how bad we are overtaxed here in the states. Property taxes are such a rip off. I love Hua Hin I was there last November and I just loved it. Your information kind of puts some of my home ownership worries to rest. Thank you.

I'm also a Realtor her in California, so loved hearing your take on the market in contrast to the states. Hope to see more updates from you and congrats on your purchase and retirement!
Yes, there will be updates... I am in the states right now... I will still have some videos but not physically in Thailand right now. Kim has a channel too at Kimberleys Sandbox.
Belated congratulations on the new house! Coming to Thailand next month for my first visit and plans are to move there in early 2026 after retirement and then travel East Asia for as long as I can. I’ve been researching my move for two years now, and it’s good to hear about the leasing option, that’s a load off my mind for when I finally decide where I want to live. Looking forward to more videos.
Great update folks. My wife and I are empty nesters here in Melbourne Australia - owning and operating a business here. For me, Thailand has been at the back of my mind as a retirement plan. Many years ago, when we were in the corporate space and based in Singapore, I actually purchased a 1 acre block of land (51/49 option) for US$ 25,000 with the intention to build. Priorities took us in a different direction so we sold the land but I’m seriously thinking of exploring a house purchase on a land lease agreement. The information you provided in this clip is really good. Again thanks !
Forgot to mention that the acre of land we purchased was in Koh Samui on a hilltop with stunning views. The other issue was building costs which are disproportionately high in Samui given that materials have to be ferried across from the mainland. Thanks again.
With the Thai baht taking a bit of a siesta, your dollars are now auditioning for the role of superheroes! It's a fantastic moment to turn those USD capes into a cozy home in Thailand. More bang for your buck in paradise!
@AlmostRetiredinThailand question on the lease land for 90 years you pay monthly or ones a year or it's included in the house price? 🏠 My wife and I are also looking to buy a house in Thailand 100k or a little more. We are from Oregon PDX
Just found your page. I hope all is well there in Thailand with you all. Thanks so much for sharing this and congratulations on your home! It's beautiful and the view...AMAZING! Your wife, Kim, is gorgeous! My husband and I have looked at many places to retire soon. Thailand is on the top of the list.
Your channel is going to do very well, keep up the great posts like this! I have a sad little channel in Taiwan that needs some TLC, lol. I discovered ya'll on Page and Chuck's video awhile back. Our fam made our first visit to Thailand in december and it was a great experience all around, can't wait to return. You're the first channel that has discussed how westerners can buy a HOME in Thailand, everyone else says it's impossible unless you're married to a local. Kudos, that's great info that will help a lot of people!
Wow, the mountain view. I’m also planning to buy a house in Thailand. It’s for me and my wifes retirement. But i’m a little bit worried about the building quality.
Fantastic, How exciting. I'm new to your channel but i do follow a lot of other x-pat channels to rejuvenate my memories of all my past travels within the land of smiles but also for new information and idea's in readiness for my own embankment to Thailand for my retiring years, Ive been looking into the 30 year renewable leases but was stumped about who i could lease the property from once i found a location, id be really interested to know more about the in's and outs of your process, I was actually looking at something near Hua Hin, but in reality my options are open about where to pull up my feet, i've subscribed to your channel for notifications when you post new content but i'll also be checking out some of your previous videos too.
We will do our best to provide you more information. We bought our home direct from the builder, who we believe is the owner of the land. We used an attorney who did a lot of the due diligence, we trust him and we believe we entered into a contract that is good and offers us protections as the buyer. Time will tell for us. I would highly recommend doing your homework as well and only enter into an agreement you are comfortable with. Every person and their expectations are different. Thanks for subscribing.
Been going to Thailand every year since 1995 on Business, Shopping and Scuba Diving - always wanted to buy a home - yet they always said you cannot own a home only a condo and never wanted just a condo - would be interested to speak to you more about how you went about buying the property through the lease land process and finding out about your lawyer and such FYI - presently live in Guangzhou China - been here 20+ years so not far from Thailand
Thank you for this great video guys. My wife and I are looking at moving to the Hua Hin area in the next couple of years. You've given us a lot to think about. We never even considered buying a property. Great value for your money and we like the idea of owning our own place. The area you are in looks great too. Not too busy. We'll keep watching for helpful hints.
I was talked out of buying in Thailand because of the fact that foreigners cannot buy the land but now you mention it is no different to the UK where you can buy a property which has a lease on the land. Maybe I will take a look again. Thanks very much.
We own a few homes here and rent them out. Just be careful about engaging in real estate here. Being a broker of any kind is a prohibited occupation for foreigners here. Of course we see foreigners engaging in it everywhere but it will be under a Thai owned entity. Just do your homework on that one. I was a lawyer in AZ for 32 years. Welcome to Hua Hin!
A lease is a safe way to have a property in Thailand. I seriously confided a lease but knew that I would eventually get married and at the end of the lease she would have nothing. I ended up buying a condo in my name. Now we live upcountry in my wife's home. Of course it is in only her name. I still have the condo.
Congratulations Neighbours! We also love our retirement home with the same mountain view 😂 your actually in Prechup Kari Khan WangPong and its the best place for Migrants who want a fair land lease deal.
If my wife and I wanted to visit the country to learn more about its potential for retirement, where would you recommend we start, and how long would you recommend we stay to get a feel for living there?
Great questions. For starters, Thailand is a big diverse country. I think 2 trips minimum. One to explore and see as much as possible, probably 30 days. I would visit Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin and Pattaya at a minimum. Get a feel for different areas, they are all different. Then narrow it down to one or two and then visit again for another month. Once decided, I would enter into a 6 month lease to see if you really like it and then go from there. Hope this helps.
This is great! Congratulations! My family and I took a vacation to Hua Hin is perfect for people who don’t love crazy night life and like a bit more tranquility. The beaches are great and the locals, Thai tourists, foreigner communities are my speed there for sure. I would move my family down there in a heartbeat! Good stuff!
I remember watching Kim house hunting on her channel. I knew this was meant to be your home before she ever went inside. Congratulations 🎉 have a happy life
So awesome to see you guys so happy, and what a nice deal! I bought a courtyard condo with a 1 car garage in Florida 25 years ago for $99,000 and added a pool. So you turned back the clock! In a way the lack of “appreciation” on the property is your “rent” and that’s a great deal in the end. New construction should mean no major expenses for a long time. My friends are moving back to Thailand and I could be very tempted myself! Cheers, Michael Albuquerque NM USA
Foreigners can never ever legally own land in Thailand only a condominium apt if it is owned by 50 percent of Thailand citizens. Even in the Philippines same land ownership for Foreigners I don't understand what type of situation you have.
Just watched you guys. I am also from Arizona. I live in the Scottsdale area. I was planning on heading over to Thailand, soon. Thank you for the information.
I hope this goes well for them but a 10 second google search on 30 year lease in Thailand makes me wonder and raises more questions to several statements they have made. I would advise to be extremely careful and ensure as much due diligence is done before you pull the trigger on any form of leasehold properties.

That is not the same thing as buying a house. You do NOT own the house.
@@johnnielson4341 what happens to the house when land lease expire??
@@ebayseller6040 The owner of the land orders you to move it off their property. If you don't, they can seize it. Since you can't, you lose it
If the lease ends after 30 years just sell it after 25 years and start over
Congratulations Guys!!! Enjoy your new home
Thank you!!
I just found your channel and very much appreciate the solid information you provided about your home purchase. Thank you. As I am very interested in spending some time there in the near future, I’ll view some more of your videos so as not to duplicate questions that may have already been answered. Blessings to you in your new home. 🙏🏽
Thanks and enjoy!!!
Putting into perspective the issue of a land lease, I believe even when you own something in this world you are only the keeper of it temporarily. We are all just passing through for a while so to me the land lease sounds fine .
By the way your house is very nice ! I saw Kimberlys video on it also and thought it was a good choice.
We love it and are very comfortable here. It is nice to "own" something even if we don't actually own it. Thanks.
Gorgeous house ! ❤
So it happens whether you "own" the land or not
@@jaciriley123 We have that also in the US so not surprising.
@@wphillips7217 I honestly don't get why people are so put off by long term land rentals then, you would probably have more rights and protections in place as a long term land tennant with a decent contract than the average land owner, this guy said his kids still had the option to inherit the house with the contract they have.
Wow, congrats on your new home ownership! The mountain view is, indeed, gorgeous!
We agree 100%...
Thanks for the great info wishing you lots of zen moments in your new home 🏡
Thanks so much!
Welcome to Huahin! Beautiful house and location indeed. Have a happy retirement life ❤❤. Your house has changed my mind to retire there instead of England 😁
We love it here.
Great info , as a fellow realtor (Canada) we are conditioned to own the land a house is built on, your explanation in this video makes sense for a retiree who gets to live in a warm climate in a great house with less expense. Bonus is you can will it to your family... a new approach to retiring.
Thank you!!!
You seem like a very nice couple. Good luck with your new home!
Thank you!! 😊
Great video and information. Thank you. Congratulations on your new home. 🎉
Thank you very much. Appreciate the comment!!!
Hey Dave, good to see you guys enjoying yourselves, and the new place looks great. My wife and I want to visit some day!
Please do!
Wow this is nicely presented. Great job!!
Glad you liked it!
Congratulations on purchasing your lovely home 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!!
I'm looking into the prospect of being a manager/maintenance for a foreigner owned property when I move to Thailand. Not sure, but I do know I don't have the ability to be one of these online personalities :). It would be such a great experience to have someone to give opinions and guidance when I get there.
We are pretty new here ourselves, but can be a resource for you possibly.
Thankyou for sharing ❤love your view&pool Great pick.
Thank you!!!
Thank you. So glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Can’t go wrong for $100,000. Maybe next video we can see the house and lot. Is there a small pool? Gated community?
Thanks for the comment. Hope to meet you someday.
Thanks for sharing!!!
That sounds awesome and I am definitely interested ! Good luck with your new future endeavors. It’s a beautiful house.
That you both look so happy, which counts.
Trying to enjoy life before we are too old to do anything.
@@AlmostRetiredinThailand Good for you life's too short ❤
congratulations, few questions.
1. Who did you buy the house from?
2. Would they be around in 30 years to renew the lease?
Hi Dave & Kim! Found this video today. Really glad to see an American R.E. professional discuss the issue of the land-lease, and with your own clever adjustments, describe a favorable/acceptable outcome. This gives me much optimism for reconsidering it (buying) myself. I look fwd to your new videos; will check out your others. Some topics if you need ideas: getting stuff fixed like plumbing, tilework, electrical... both via professionals & DIY (any home improvement stores?). If you wanted to add on a room or stand-alone garage, is it allowed? Just ideas. Thanks much!
Plenty of "home improvement stores" in Thailand- even in the rural regions. (HomePro and Global House are the popular franchises)
This also serves as an extra caution when buying anything already built; I would want to do quite an excessive inspection myself, plus hire a really good pro inspector as well (Western one, if any exist out there.)
Congratulations for the purchase. Thank you for this great video with great info and right to the point, no waste of time. I wished to know the size of the house and how many bedrooms you have. Best of luck in peaceful Hua Hin
I've seen all these villas for around $100-200k, and thanks to your video, I feel a little better watching you guys actually in the house and saying it's a done deal.
It is great. I know quality can be an issue, but for us, this home is excellent.
@@AlmostRetiredinThailand I am truly happy for you two! 😀
Congratulations!!! Thank you for the video. Very informative. I thinking about moving out there in the future. I'm clueless on how to do it though. I definitely will have questions for you if you don't mind. Thanks
Well done, nice to see. Hua Hin is a nice location. Best wishes.
Thank you very much!
Congrats... My wife and I have had our eyes on Hua Hin. She's Thai so we're planning on buying as well. We still be in Hua Hin March 22 for a week. Maybe we can meet up for a beer and chat. We're currently living in California, my daughter went to ASU and lives in PHX. 👍

Good to see you settled in Thailand
My wifes mom was born in Thailand and were going to make the move in three years (we live in New York state). My wife will be applying to get dual citizenship this summer. Great video and info. Thank you!!
Best of luck with everything!!!
Great story. The tax situation tells you just how bad we are overtaxed here in the states. Property taxes are such a rip off. I love Hua Hin I was there last November and I just loved it. Your information kind of puts some of my home ownership worries to rest. Thank you.
Yes sir!!! Almost $5,000 a year in taxes and another 2,500 in HOA fees... then a grand in insurance... just to own a property in the states...

Great vid. Blessings for your new home and happiness. Just found this channel and my wife and I just got back from our first Thailand trip. We were in love with prauchaup kiri khan and the Ao Manoe beach there. Please continue and its my hope that you might become our realtor for our first Thailand home. We're coming back to retire there.
Thanks!!! At a minimum we will have some experiences to help you make good decisions!!!
Great video guys , I mostly rent in HuaHin, love your place and what you did , hope to catch up sometime for a meal with you guys in HuaHin.
It's nice to hear successful relocation stories like yours, thanks for sharing your experience. My husband and I are considering retiring in Thailand as well and this info. is super helpful! My husband's step mother-in-law is Thai and lives here in California (as do we) but still has lots of family and friends back in Thailand. We've been to Hua Hin w/ her and just loved it!
Congratulations on your house purchase, looks to be great value!
By American standards, we are quite happy.
Love the video good luck for the future 🎉
Thank you.
Thanks for info and making video
Great update folks. My wife and I are empty nesters here in Melbourne Australia - owning and operating a business here. For me, Thailand has been at the back of my mind as a retirement plan. Many years ago, when we were in the corporate space and based in Singapore, I actually purchased a 1 acre block of land (51/49 option) for US$ 25,000 with the intention to build. Priorities took us in a different direction so we sold the land but I’m seriously thinking of exploring a house purchase on a land lease agreement. The information you provided in this clip is really good. Again thanks !
Yes, that approach works for us. Some people don't like it, but we are fine with it
Forgot to mention that the acre of land we purchased was in Koh Samui on a hilltop with stunning views. The other issue was building costs which are disproportionately high in Samui given that materials have to be ferried across from the mainland. Thanks again.
Just discovered your video, thanks! My wife and I are moving in October from AZ as well. Can’t wait! Thanks again
Awesome!!!
With the Thai baht taking a bit of a siesta, your dollars are now auditioning for the role of superheroes! It's a fantastic moment to turn those USD capes into a cozy home in Thailand. More bang for your buck in paradise!
The house looks really nice and the view is amazing 👏 congratulations to both of you with new 🏠 🎉
Thank you so much 🤗
@AlmostRetiredinThailand question on the lease land for 90 years you pay monthly or ones a year or it's included in the house price? 🏠
My wife and I are also looking to buy a house in Thailand 100k or a little more. We are from Oregon PDX
You don't need dryer in Thailand its hooooot leave clothes outside for 30 minutes and it will be dry
If the wife says we need a dryer, we need a dryer. I agree with you though... don't tell her.
We love living in Thailand. We visit lots of places but for us nothing compares as far as living!!!
There is a lot of negativity out there about "buying" here. We did our homework and are comfortable with the process. Thanks for commenting.
You can not buy land in Thailand if you are not Thai FACT !!
Best wishes in your new home with good health and peace of mind!
Thank you!!!
I love how transparent you are about the land lease situation.
He's also wrong about it, he has a 30 -year lease.
@@nickturner2813 Oh, ok. Can you explain further?
Wow, the mountain view. I’m also planning to buy a house in Thailand. It’s for me and my wifes retirement. But i’m a little bit worried about the building quality.

Wow man!!! Thanks!!!

Thank you for this great video guys. My wife and I are looking at moving to the Hua Hin area in the next couple of years. You've given us a lot to think about. We never even considered buying a property. Great value for your money and we like the idea of owning our own place. The area you are in looks great too. Not too busy. I was talked out of buying in Thailand because of the fact that foreigners cannot buy the land but now you mention it is no different to the UK where you can buy a property which has a lease on the land. Maybe I will take a look again. Thanks very much.
Do your homework and make sure it makes sense to you, and only do what you are comfortable with.
Really interesting, wishing you all the best
Thank you.
Congratulations
Thank you.
Understood. Thank you. I have no plans to do real estate here... I have enough to focus on in Arizona USA.
There are a ton of farang brokers working in Thailand. Not sure where you get your info.
A lease is only legal for a maximum of 30 years. There are no legal extensions even with a written contract.
Thanks. Will start worrying about in in about 29 or 29 years 😀 then deal with it in about 30.
Agreed!!! Thank you.
This is my dream to do this. Thank you so much for sharing
Hopefully this dream becomes reality.
wow shes got beautiful eyes
Congratulations to both of you on the new house❤❤
Thank you!!
Sorry to tell you but you could run into problems with the lease after 30 years going onto the next 30 year lease.
Thanks. We will start worrying about that in 29 years... but you are probably correct.
Good stuff!

Awesome! Will look for your questions.

We agree with you about the decision to do what we did... Many wont do it, but for us it makes sense. Thank you!!!

Foreigners can never ever legally own land in Thailand only a condominium apt if it is owned by 50 percent of Thailand citizens. Even in the Philippines same land ownership for Foreigners I don't understand what type of situation you have.
Thank you for the information, congratulations on your beautiful new home.
Thank you!
Just watched you guys. I am also from Arizona. I live in the Scottsdale area. I was planning on heading over to Thailand, soon. Thank you for the information.
We love Thailand. I am in Gilbert AZ right now as I had to come back for an unexpected trip. Miss Thailand already...
I hope this goes well for them but a 10 second google search on 30 year lease in Thailand makes me wonder and raises more questions to several statements they have made. I would advise to be extremely careful and ensure as much due diligence is done before you pull the trigger on any form of leasehold properties.
I’m from Tucson Arizona and moving to Thailand in a couple of months, I will be buying in Bangkok.
Awesome. Enjoy it all!!!
