Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep showed that Borderlands can offer deep, heavy story whilst keeping that wacky, over the top, what the fuck, lol type theme. It's wild but I love it, the ending is so painful, her reaction to everything, Lilith., Brick and Mordecai's completely assholish reaction before realizing " shes a fucking kid, who has lost someone who was like a father and best friend to her " shows humanity and growth. And I absolutely hate whenever TFTB references are in any of the main games. Their character development is completely ignored in favor of over-playing their flaws that they had gotten over by the time of Episode 5. The general Knoxx DLC is the reason why we got the humor of BL2 and everything onward. I still remember that announcement during the BL2 hype, that they would base their story telling and humor on said DLC.
The Handsome Jackpot DLC was by far my most favorite BL3 DLC; simply because it felt like BL2 again and not the atrocious BL3 story. Bounty of Blood is on 2nd place, because I just loved that old western style they went for and THAT scene close to the end of the DLC.

I personally only am kinda upset that that claptrap's revolution isn't higher on the list, as it just tied up the entirety of BL1 so so nicely. Especially the final boss was just such a cool little pleasent surprise as someone who was actually experiencing it blind for the first time.
I think that Knoxx' story is overall much more interesting, but not as entertaining gameplay wise, mostly because of all the driving involved and the bland areas, the cores make it a bit more bearable luckily. I also thought that its ending was honestly kind of lackluster.
Craptrap's revolution on the other hand is super duper fun to play through, even though it lacks the interesting story. It's just really fucking cool seeing characters from throughout your BL1 journey and its DLCs up to that point be brought back as mechanical hybrids. The very last mission ends right where it all started too, which I'm a sucker for. The final boss is fun and unexpected too, which is just great. It is just such a perfect ending which ties up all of BL1 so so nicely that I cant help but gush about it.
Had Knoxx' not introduced the concept of raidbosses and pearls to the series, I'd have put claptraps revolution higher than it honestly.

Edit: you could totally skip Moxxi's underdome unless you are playing for the achievements or full game completion what ever your thing is. It's not even clarified who is supposed to canonically win in the first game. Borderlands 2 is where it starts to get mentioned that It's Mordecai.

Almost every Borderlands DLC invented something new, like the Pearlescent Pearlescent weapons and new vehicles in the Knoxx DLC and the "First Raid Boss" in this Franchise plus the armory!
The Underdome is just a DLC to kill time (and probably your own sanity)
Dr. Ned's Zombie DLC is worth a playthrough but the only new thing i can recall is the Jakobs Vending Machine...
The INAC DLC has a nice gift shop and Blake himself!
Borderlands 2 has some good ones like the Torgue DLC (At this point he needs no introduction because it's TORGUE)
Scarlet has some of the best weapons in the entire game and Tinas Assault on Dragon Keep is just legendary!
The Sanctuary DLC is just good for legendary farming!
Borderlands 3 is like a mixed table for me personally but mainly because of how the original characters are handled!
The Handsome Jackpot DLC was a nice throwback to the old loaderbot days and brought us some cool new and returning weapons like the Nukem, Heart Breaker, Cream, and the infamous ION CANNON!
The Hammerlocks Wedding DLC has some really interesting stuff and mythology in it which i became a little fan over the years! Sadly no Raid Boss!
The next one is good but not my favorite (except the guns, those are great) perhaps because of loading times but that depends on which platform you're playing on! It has some really cool moments like the Nuke going off and a more serious tone to it compared to the rest of the game, which makes this DLC the Outlier!
The Krieg DLC is one and done but they could have done so much more to it!
Ok this isn't technically a DLC but don't forget the Cartels Event which added some of the strongest gear in the entire game and has one of the most memorable soundtrack that was ever produced for this game!
I know that the headhunter packs weren't included here but there are so many DLCs in this franchise that it would definitely break the scale here!

funny thing was that the glitch rarity introduced a glitch. What you needed was a glitch rarity jakobs sniper, and it had to have the loop glitch on it. with a little weapon swapping, you could transfer the loop effect semi permanently to all your other guns. What loop did was severely increase fire rate and give about a 50% chance to not consume ammo each shot. outside the glitch itself, loop also forced continuous fire until you reloaded again

Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck on the other hand is my second favorite DLC that I have ever played (Only surpassed by ME3's Citadel DLC). I remember when I first played BL2 in the Handsome Jack collection, I used Krieg. It left such an impact on me that I absolutely hated BL3 because Krieg isn't really in it. And after Maya died there were a lot of emotions I couldn't really express. I think out of the small DLCs, Director's Cut really should be higher. Higher than goddamn Arms Race, that's for sure. The guns are less broken, but the story content is great and practically moves mountains to redeem Ava as a character - it shows what she could and should have been in the main story, and has some very interesting implications for the lore involving the Eridians. Why the heck is it below a battle royale knockoff? There's a bit more content, the environments are neat and diverse, the weapons are mechanically fun as heck, there's a proper Invincible... As side missions specifically go, it's got some of the best in the series. personally.

My only real issue with the commander lilith dlc is that there is a very easy way to softlock progression in it. In the spore chores mission, when it tells you to go back to hq, it wants you to go there physically, cuz it'll spawn a mini boss you need to fight, and it will update the mission accordingly. But if you fast travel there, it will mark the mission as complete, but there is no condition for the "head to hq" part of the mission to be complete, so you can't progress. It can't be fixed without using a save editor either.

The biggest issue for me with Bounty of Blood is two things really. But kind of go together.
    1. Juono sucks and I disliked her with a passion.
    2. This should've been something where they experimented a bit more with the story. Let you choose sides. I can't stress this enough. Me and so many other people I've talked to agree that always being the good guy here is just plain obnoxious. Lots of people don't like the main cast of the game. So let us be the bad guy. Let us choose between siding with Rose (I think is her name? The bad chick) or doing the good side and siding with the town. I feel Gearbox should've tried this. Choices mattering. Maybe have it be the leadup to BL4 or whatever.
Edit: I still want them to do a new Borderlands game. But have it set during BL2 time. But instead of following the events that we are used to. We instead get to go up against Sanctuary and side with Handsome Jack. I can see some of the VH's right now. I definitely see Angle as one of the VH's. Would be interesting to see her powers. Maybe something like flying? or a mix of Siren powers and technology. I also see another VH that could be all about poison/venom. Like a femme fatal type character. Great looking but is likely to kill you awfully.
I'd just love being able to be the bad guy and kill off some of the more annoying characters of the series. Namely Lilith. And Lilith. Oh! And also Lilith.

Would never happen. Gearbox's head writer loves Lilith too much. That's why all her faults were retconned out of Borderlands 3.

You had the exact same critique of mad moxxis underdome riot as me all the way down to getting a modded gun from a friend. Thats crazy

'Each new run feels fresh and gives a ton of replayability'. This is the first time I heard someone describe Arms Race this way.

Honestly one of the things that killed Krieg's DLC for me is because it felt like a half-finished attempt to recreate Claptastic-voyage. If the Devs were able/willing to put the same effort and polish into Krieg's as they did Clap-Trap I would have them switched in ranking.

Tina's DLC was my first experience with DLCs ever. I grew up on the borderlands series. I remember going "hey, new place. Ima take my new Gage character there" after getting the collectors edition of 1, 2, and pre with all the accompanying DLCs for Christmas along side a new Xbox 360 after my first pulled a Red ring of death on me after years of playing 46 different games on every difficulty and getting every achievement.

Your top 2 somehow managed to be my two favorite dlc of the series

The Borderlands series DLCs were always so insanely unique and offered something completely different to what the main game offered. I think thats what made so incredibly good.

You forgot the best part of Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep. The awesome grenades, and the swordsplosion

I was expecting Tina's to be first, but I'm just happy that bounty got the recognition it deserves

If Tiny Tina's DLC isn't the first one, the best dlc ever, I don't know what could be...

So the only thing I would change is placing Krieg’s DLC just a bit higher I agree on the whole enemy and side quest fact of the side quests being short and not a whole lot of enemies stand out except the bosses (at least to me) like Dr. Benedict being one of the reasons Krieg is a psycho in the first place or loco-möbius and evil Brick, evil Mordecai and evil Lilith being representations of Krieg’s insecurities and insane Kreig in the near the end was just trying to protect the sane side of Kreig but didn’t know how to really show it other then being the way he is throughout the whole thing until you go to vaulthala (And just as a person opinion Kreig and maya would have been/and are a cute couple) but as you run through helping Sane Kreig you learn you understand how much Kreig really appreciates his friends and them basically being a family to him and yea hitting the emotions in the right spots, but I’d say you placed it in a pretty good spot and pointed out the goods and bods of it pretty well plus It’s your opinions about certain things and I respect that now have a nice day
