I like your honesty. These kind of things at that price point would drive me mad. A the limp mode thing is not good.... I hope the warranty covers everything !
ICY 300 vw owns the brand. Vw doesn’t make the car. Why do people keep saying that. Any company can buy any company on paper. Tata bought jaguar. Jaguar is not an Indian car tho. And it never will be.
ugotserved911 its basically a Audi. Audi is responsible for most of the technical development in the VW group. Lamborghini use a lot of Audi parts directly from the shelf. If you have the time. Please look at Audi cars and Lamborghinis. You will find a lot of interior part from the A4 in many new Lamborghinis 😉 And that’s is good thing because they will work.
Always entertaining "Sometimes you have to give the people what they want! ", thanks for doing these Josh especially considering the world wide situation we find ourselves in.
I own a performante and I mentioned the same issue in regards to the back up camera and I was told that Lamborghini is working on it it’s a computer glitch and in my situation it’s only happened twice
Amar I received my information on the back up camera from Vancouver Lamborghini in regards to it being a computer glitch contact your local dealer perhaps they have more detailed information and I’m not sure if Lamborghini is open for business in Italy due to the virus good luck
9:04 I have experienced this exact issue in my car as well. I drive a Chevy Malibu and my car does that sometimes. I have also experienced that in a Tesla Model Y. All of these cars couldn't be more different so I'm not sure why they are all having the same problems.
As opposed to weight being the issue with the front lift, I think it's more likely either some obstruction or possibly a leak somewhere and the system reads this as the pump being overstressed or a sensor not calibrating properly. Hopefully I won't miss the video where this is rectified... From the sound of your issues, I would be inclined to get a mid-range OBD2 reader (& keep it in the car) so that you can plug in when issues occur. This would keep you slightly better informed, PLUS it helps ensure that a dealer/mechanic doesn't try to con you with "fixing" a different or non-existent problem!
The Limp Mode is a problem, especially if you are on the highway or the Track. On a side street, it isn't that big of a deal, but this is why some people prefer Japanese cars.
My dad owns a Huracan Performante and he’s never had these 3 issues you mentioned. The most annoying and serious problem was that sometimes, after we’ve washed it, the yellow engine warning light would come up. We were already at the dealer about this issue and they did a diagnostic etc. (They said nothing was wrong) Then yesterday we washed the car and it happened again. Don’t know what’s going on...probably nothing serious but it’s still an inconvenience. The Window issue is very annoying. There were never any very serious problems with it. (It has almost 11000km now)
Check under your front hood where the front lift module is. It’s getting water into it because it’s traveling down the frame rail and getting down into it perhaps. I know that was an issue when water was involved
Interesting. I have driven mine over 16k mi & have not had issue with lift or backup camera. I had fluke fluke problem but not on other 2 Huracan. Def odd on lift for sure. I agree with you that it’s probably a compressor issue. Gotta day, nothing beat this feel & sound of the Performante. 👍
lol these issues are issues i had in my old audi. even the window one. makes sense since they pretty much built it. that exact engine symptom pretty much ruined my car. good luck
Hopefully the dealer can/will diagnose and fix the limp mode issue.....dangerous and frustrating. May have to take it to a specialist and get reimbursed.
The window thing... I have seen such an issue with a Toyota sienna and Lexus Rx350… where the window goes "out of alignment". There was a sequence of turning on and off the car, then into aux then roll the window all the way down, then all the way up, turn car off and then back on again (or similar steps) to "realign" the window (I remember the light on the window control would flash until this was done)
Ironically funny that you complained about the back up camera as Ferruccio complained to Enzo about the cheap tractor clutch in Ferruccio's Ferrari! Great Video!
A lot of exotic car manufactures don't like you pointing out shit that they should be fixing. In fact if any of these guys who make a living showing car videos ever bad mouth a product they won't get exclusive access to anything. They are black balled. Kind of like pointing out all the Pedos in Hollywood. You will never get an acting job again.
Next topic to talk about: Supercar and winter. Does it work. What are the problems. Also with bad weather? What about half the year the supercar and the other half a normal car (in winter time)?
Hey josh we had the same problem with a vw polo going into limp mode. The issue was wiring that has frayed as well as the throttle sensor which was broken
About the lift kit issue. Does it happen if the passenger unbuckles their seat belt? I don't think weight would be an issue. Seems more like a electrical short with the passenger seat belt sensor or a connection after that.
Nothing to do with the seat belt. I've also tried different passengers to see if it was a weight related issue, and it fails no matter what. I think it's a sensor problem of some sort. It goes to the dealer next week for them to sort out.
do a merge video with SR4U but instead of doing the 'on feet' segment of your review on your artificial grass, you do a pedal test on the brake and accelerator
My Huracan has window problems too sadly. For some reason the driver window operates fine but the passenger window won't go up automatically, meaning I have to hold it down the whole time to put the window up. You would think at this price point they would have the windows sorted out.
For the window problem try pulling the button manually (only half pull) It's a common problem in audi's which Lamborghini gets most of it's parts from. You can also fix it through a software repair
There’s a way to reset your window switch. I did it on my Audi because it was running into the same issue. Google it. Mine was a matter of holding the switch down for like 10 seconds I think.
Wow man! That’s exactly what happened to me on the first day of purchasing the Huracan Lp610-4 2016 with 14k kms on it. I was just driving the car back home and it just died in the middle of traffic. The most horrifying experience of my life. And it did not start back up until after waiting for 30 mins and calling the flatbed to lift the car. When it just suddenly started and was completely normal. Also one more issue I am facing is that once a while it gives a jerk shows 4wd fault code and the traction control yellow light comes up. Then when you turn off the car and turn back on again it goes back to normal. But the limp mode as you explained is really really scary 😢. If you figure out what makes it do that pls do let me know. Cheers!
After watching a lot of Scotty Kilmer videos, if any car costs that much money there should be NO ISSUES like that, like you mentioned in your video. This is why I would trust only the Acura NSX (2017 & present look the cooler)
Just a little tip about the window. It's a common trait for electric windows to do that. You need to reset the switch. Put the window down and then click to put it up and when it's up, hold the switch for a few seconds after it's up and then it will work just fine for a while. The switch gets confused if you put it up and down just part of the way so it begins to stop halfway. So just reset the switch by holding it up after it's all the way closed and it should be fine until it becomes confused again and then just reset it again. Most electric windows will do this from time to time. This happens on my Mercedes all the time. I just reset them and they work just fine. That's what the mechanics do when you take it in to have it fixed.
I honestly think your limp mode issue could be your battery. Do you put the car on a trickle charger? Lambos are part of the VW group and my MK7 Golf GTI also randomly went into limp mode a couple of times and I was told to replace the battery and I haven’t had an issue since. I know the cars are worlds apart, but it could be a similar issue since these cars depend on so many electronic systems 🤷🏻♂️😄
I don't think the issues have anything to do with the complexity of the car. There's nothing complex about it. I think it's just because supercars are low volume production, hand built cars and you have one sensor that wasn't plugged in well enough or gets wet or something else and there you have it. It's annoying, but I've yet to own ANY car that's had no problems at all. However, the high volume cars get recalls and there's more known about the weak spots (and how to fix them) on forums.
Depends on the car. There's often an upgraded speaker option for a lot of them, at least I know there is for modern Lamborghinis. How does it sound though, to be honest I don't know? I never get in and drive the car to listen to music, the radio is always off.
Window issue: Let the window down and hold down for 3 seconds. Then let it up and hold it up for 3 seconds. This resets the auto up/down. This goes for all VWAG cars.
You could exchange the car for another Huracan performante if issues occur too often? Or hopefully it might just be a small issue after inspection. Generally Huracans are pretty reliable for a supercar.
Do you pay full price for your cars up front or finance them? Would you say it’s better to do one or the other if you’re considering on reselling after two years?
Good question--what if they give you crap--do you call the bank or finance and walk from a car if it has major problems. There are a lot of videos on you tube about the downfalls of buying an exotic.
That 4th problem "window issue", i think its the window memory that needs to be reset. I think you click and hold down for a few seconds, and you do the same upwards, click and hold
I'm not in love with the way it looks to be honest. I don't think it's ugly, but I prefer the look of the F8 Tributo. I also have no idea how much the SF90 costs?
Car Problems I feel ya. It’s up there on price at $625k MSRP. So more than double the F8 Tributo lol. It does have 986 horsepower tho with less than 500 units being made.
I have a audi that has the same window drop problem in the winter. It happened after window gets frozen solid by snow and ice, i was trying to open the window but motor didn’t have enough force to move the glass, after that i have the window drop issue now and then. Guess that might be a shared part between audi and lamborghini. 🤣🤣🤣
The dealerships are pretty snotty also.I was thinking about a used one--clean drivers license was willing to put a substantial down payment--and the title to a trade in and wanted an extended test drive--maybe even overnight--fully insured by me also.Could not do it--wanted a 10 min test drive--no negotiation and for me to just cut them a 200k check.Glad I did not waste time. Also regardless of mileage these need progressive maintenance--to validate a none existent warranty.1st year is 1.5k service--2nd year is double and every year after that was like a 3 to 5k maintenence.Even if I won the lottery I would not buy one of these money pits. Also could not get any basic questions answered. At the price for these they should be as reliable as a honda--folks yell performance--well when you lay down a quarter of a million dollars or more--you should get everything from warranties--to reliability--to knowledge treatment at the dealer.
Your steering wheel seems a bit too high for the best control... just saying... The top of your steering wheel should be more or less at your shoulder height... The window issue is a combination of a weak motor and a bad lubrification of the window rails (or at the worst a misalignment of those guide rails)
If I lower the wheel any more, my hands hit the top of my legs when turning. You're not wrong, as a general rule that's what you should do, but that's not necessarily going to work for every person in every car.
My '18 Acura NSX has gone through two Saskatchewan winters now without a single issue. Daily driven on Pirelli Sottozero 3 tires. Oh, and it doesn't need/have a front lift 😁

I don't think the issues have anything to do with the complexity of the car. There's nothing complex about it. If I lower the wheel any more, my hands hit the top of my legs when turning. You're not wrong, as a general rule that's what you should do, but that's not necessarily going to work for every person in every car.
LMFAOO MY Genesis Coupe does the same when it comes to the driver side window 😂😂😂😂😂
Jared, would you get a GTR?
It seems like one of the best Japanese cars.
He’s had one watch previous

When they come out with R36 he’ll probably consider getting another Gtr
Why do u have a rwd car for winter
Winter tires are way more important than AWD in winter conditions. Also, I have a truck for really bad weather.
You seem to rev to the limit, shift up and almost immediately shift down - surely that is not good driving practice?
My '18 Acura NSX has gone through two Saskatchewan winters now without a single issue. Daily driven on Pirelli Sottozero 3 tires. Oh, and it doesn't need/have a front lift 😁
Damn! What you do for work?
@10:38 you have to give the people what they want 😂😂😂👏🏿🏆

What a weird problem to have, and I FEEL like that's an AWFUL lot of having deal with a potentially REALLY inconvenient issue when you're paying someone six figures plus to make this damn car!!
