    Idk if this is the best wheel out there but a big leap in bang for buck. apparently, adapters for both Fanatec and Moza, and as amazing as their wheels are, the whole display thing is such a good add on

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah it has been a really good wheel. Had to get used to the smaller size, but with smaller hands, I absolutely love it. The Moza QR make it an easy add and works like a charm. They still have some kinks to work out, but once they get them rectified, then I think it will be much better.

    Ray Can I have a question? I have the same steering wheel, and I want to put a sticker on the encoder knob, but when I try to unscrew it, it feels like the bolt is stuck in the thread. Is it normal? I'm afraid of ruining the thread if I try it harder. How could you remove the cap?

    I know I am late here. But I just bought the Pro version of this wheel and it is not coming with the Simagic QR attached. How hard was it to install the QR on the wheel if you dont mind ?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice wheel too. The pro version is much better. The simhub integration makes it great. The QR ISN'T hard but will require you to take off the entire front of the wheel. Make sure to be careful with the screws. I striped one and it sucks to get out. So be careful but it's not hard at all. Make sure to unscrew the Bluetooth single as well on the back. Easy as pie. Lol

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's cool. I like them both ways to be honest. However, if I customize and you send to me the way I asked then I am cool with that. For example my Simtec wheel came with stickers pre-installed and aligned properly that's awesome, if I cannot customize than that would suck. I think it all depends to be honest. Most wheels come with stickers I don't want as well, so that makes it even harder. So it all depends for me.

    I mate nice review and will definitly buy this wheel but i am wondering how it would connect with simucube base?
    Only by usb-c connector or is the bluetooth back antenna compatible with wireless simucube 2 motor base?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wheel is nice. I only use for Formula racing. The screen works well but needs more data and updates. It would connect via the QR of your choice. The standard QR from simucube would work. The Bluetooth would connect via your computer. Simucubes Bluetooth is proprietary. If you have Bluetooth on the pc it would work. Doesn't seem to be any lag.

      The wheel comes with a USB to usb c cable. It connects directly to the PC with USB. I also used the Bluetooth to connect to my pc and you can connect. However, you have to connect via USB for power. It does not have an internal battery that can be used wirelessly.

      I agree. The software is its downfall. It has some really great elements. It has the ability to be a great wheel. Especially for the money. The software just needs to be SimHub compatible. Just use SimHub and all the rest is good.

      Not a stupid question. Just different QR systems. You'll have to take the entire front off. Make sure to unscrew each gently and take off the Bluetooth dongle. Than you screw the QR directly to the back unless you have an extension.

    Wheel looks great especially for price. I bought a SimX wheel from a company in the UK and it was a lot more money, wayyy worse build quality and horrible wait time and customer service. So this seems like even more of a bargain.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely a bargain. However if your hands are larger than small. It’ll feel tiny. I did like it, but ultimately went with the F-Pro. I think they have a great wheel for the price. And it’s a hell of a value. Just depends on what wheelbase you have. If you have a Moza. The FSR may be better value. Simagic FX pro. If you have Fanatec then definitely a better value since they don’t have a wheel in their lineup that’s close.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Much appreciated. No I would not recommend over the FSR. If you are only doing F1 the XF1 is good but it is not versatile for any other type of racing. The small size makes it hard to use for GT3 or any other racing outside of open wheel. Also neither is really "compatible" with Simhub. The XF1 works through simhub but dash is not customizable. Both have their own dashes and the FSR has Moza only dash's.

      I've had them all except the RS. The CS is great value, especially if you get the turn racing 305 then it becomes extremely versatile. Round for drifting and oval. GT style rim on the 305. The GS and FSR are amazing, however with the CS and 305, get the R9 and possibly some other upgrades. What kind of rig are you on?

    Hi, awesome video, I’m definitely looking to buy it, but really wanted to ask if any of those updates have come up that your were requesting for - also how sturdy is the wheel, can it handle the 25Nm from the Simucube 2 Pro? Another question I saw that the screen froze at times then continues, is that a common problem or was there a fix
    Thanks

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว

      I no longer have the wheel myself. I had for a while and it's quite sturdy. I only used for Formula racing and it was good. However since the size is so small not very versatile. Additionally, the main reason was the screen just wasn't useful. I had no use for it in my current seating position, plus you could only use the dash's they provide. Simhub is much better and I use a phone at the moment. Much of the data didn't transfer over, so I didn't keep and upgraded to the F-Pro from Cube Controls. They did come out with a new wheel with many of the updates. I just don't have one to review. Honestly it felt like it was still in beta. Good wheel for the money, but needed updating. The new wheel looks to have many of those things but I don't have so can't confirm.

      I gotcha. I had the Moza GS and it was 300mm. The wheel is great for GT but the Leoxz feels better for 360 degree. Like you said tho. Hand size would make a big difference. Although I believe F1 wheels are 275 I believe. They look larger on TV then I saw one. For me the formula racing works for the 275. I tried LMP and GT and it’s not even close to suitable. When actually it has nothing to do with simhub because all it does is feed telemetry. Ah well still a great wheel for the money haha!

    Hello I have a problem with the steering wheel
    I'm on Simucube 2 Pro so I connected the steering wheel via USB.
    The steering wheel is up to date and Simbridge is well installed.
    unfortunately after a while I have the Dashboard which loses information
    I also have the steering wheel that disconnects and Simhub locks up
    Do you have a idea to solve the problem?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have multiple things connected to simhub? Also are you connected to the pc or a powered usb hub? For me I had to many things connected to simhub and if would crash. I disconnected my transducers and it worked better. I also installed a clean copy of simhub as well. Also try running simhub in administrator mode. That usually will make sure it gets the resources it be needs.

    Since dd pro is where ps compatibility lies, leoxz does offer a fanatec connection I believe to base, that means it works with that console?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh boy that's a hard question to answer. I think the compatibility is in the base and if connected you should be fine. Forever I cannot be certain, and if it's powered through the base, it'll have to be connected Bluetooth. Which I'm pretty positive doesn't connect to console. I'd lean towards no but I would check. I only use PC for racing. Wish I could help.

      @@grayzedynamics they won't give me a technical answer, all I get is wheel not ps licensed, but it doesn't need to be. only thing that can be done is to buy one and try, but that might end up being a $500 paper weight 😳

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I wouldnt try it myself. That chip has to be embedded in the wheel I believe. That's why they are more on Fanatec correct? The Xbox equivalent is cheaper I believe. But again I could be wrong. I know Will at Boosted has highlighted this before.

      You have to take all the screws off the front. And unscrew the Bluetooth single. Once you do then you connect to the wheel

      No worries. One bit of advice. New careful with the screws. I stripped one of mine and it was a headache. Be careful with them all. You will have to remove the small ones then the larger. Don't forget the BT as well. You will also have to remove rotary encoders to put on the stickers. Just take it slow.

      It's not hard at all and you will love it. What games do you race primarily? Dialing in your setting for what you want is key. Would you reccomend this wheel if I have a Simucube base? This checks every box other that the type c connector isn't secured and Im worried it'll pull out all the time when driving since there is no locking mechanism

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would recommend if you only do open wheel and formula racing. The 270mm is small. The type c didn’t pop out at all but my hub is attached to my base. Never had an issue. If you race anything other than open wheel cars, and only use one wheel, then I’d suggest another. But if you have multiple it’s a sweet wheel. Just keep in mind they are still updating software and software. So the software is more in beta but the wheel is nice.

      @@grayzedynamics Thanks for the reply, this would be a dedicated formula wheel for me. Im trying to choose between this, the Ascher F28, a USB Converted Fanatec V2.5, and the Cube Controls Formula Sport/Pro. Would you say the build quality of this is comparable to those or is it more in the DIY quality range. Thanks again!

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are areas that feel DIY but with it being their first wheel, it’s also first runs. I would say the Cube F-Pro is amazing and of all these wheels I’d recommend but it is also quite expensive. Plus the feature set is great on the F-Pro. If you want and can use a screen on your wheel the XF1 is quite nice but not practical for me. Haven’t used the Asher wheel but those I have watched have switched to the F-Pro. Only drawback is you must use gloves with the F-Pro. What’s your budget?

    Hi, is this wheel better for you than the moza gs?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Better is relative and I'm not sure it's better as much as more suited for the formula driving. Especially when you consider the cost. However, the GS is great as well and far more refined. This wheel is in its infancy and has the potential to be really good but they have to iron out the screen and the data it presents. I'll be doing a Q/A tomorrow around 2:30pm EST. Hopefully people join the stream and I can answer any questions.
