I have this wheel since its release and been using it with alpha mini base. Only drawback I noticed that I find the grip material hard and it gave me blisters. I dont really have death grip by the way. It is just stiff material. I didnt have this issue with the FX wheel. I tried sparco karting gloves, not much has changed. But Moradness gloves solved my problem due to the padding inside the palms. For me that’s the best combination. Aside from this, it is an amazing wheel no issues at all still looks like day 1.
Ouch, getting blisters while racing is a thing I only ran into while Karting, because the G's throw you around and even with gloves you'll get blisters but yeah I always use gloves and didn't get any fortunately (during sim racing)! Good to know that Daniels gloves are padded on the inside, I really like the available designs as well! And yes, I agree, the wheel is phenomenal regarding it's price
Your attention to detail is incredible You showed me little things no else did Your setup is really nice and it looks professional If it was 4K then it would be perfect Because everything else is very good,the colors are unique this blue red you have,4k would complete it Now its seems a little unfinished,but because its so good i miss these detail Not the case with everyone

@blacknovella Thank you so much for your great feedback. If you already have a GT wheel and if you're happy with your setup, you probably won't need it even though it seems so affordable. I got it for myself, because I've switched wheelbases and my Moza GS V2 wasn't compatible, otherwise I think I would've kept it. On the other hand, the GT Neo is really good, considering it's price this makes it even better...if you have a gear acquisition syndrome such as I do...well...go get it 😄
Really enjoy your channel, just stumbled on it! I really wanted a NEO, but since I has Moza R9, I got a slightly used GS for $200 and didn't want a cable dangling from a NEO.. GS has real CARBON, much stronger than a injection molded "simulated" carbon which can crack.
Hey there, I'm glad you like the content, thank you so much! Well, having a GS for just $200 is a good deal. The GS is pretty solid overall and I couldn't really find any flaws except a little bit of creaking after using it for a while but that's negligible. And yes, I agree - even if the GS would get a crack it would still work just fine except it get's broken in half. If the GT Neo breaks, it would be done for good I guess. But so far it's showing no wear and goes strong fortunately :)

Looks wise I think it's decent, but not the most beautiful wheel. I like the RGB lighting a lot though!
Listen i love my simagic ultimate wheelbase and my gt neo but I feel the gt neo is overhyped in the way people expect this wheel that's as quality as high end wheels but for 300 dollars. The grips are horrible. The buttons feel cheap but yes clicky. The shifter paddles are def not close to other simagic wheels. Its ergonomics are def good but yeah it's a budget wheel and feels like one to me. I compare it to my fanatec mclaren wheel and they legit feel like they are on the same level yet fanstec has better buttons lol. So idk I love my fx pro though now that feels like a higher end wheel even if alot more. Just saying gt neo is great but I wish expectations were placed in a more realistic aspect.
Hey man, thanks for coming back to my channel and your feedback! I agree to a certain degree, that the Neo was and is a little bit overhyped but I also wouldn't declare it as a high end wheel. The grips are certainly not the most comfortable ones but I didn't have any issues with them falling apart or anything like that thankfully. Regarding paddles and such: yup, it's also not high end - I wouldn't go as far to say that and as I've stated in the video's summary: if you're a collector of only the most high end wheels, the Neo is most likely a pass for you. Regarding the comparison to other brands: man, I've tested wheels at the sim racing expo recently and I honestly gotta say that I was quite disappointed by some wheels that I always wanted to get my hands on. Some have a really great feeling overall but the rotaries or the funky switches are crap. Others look superduper high end (even the price tag) and the grips feel like they're made out of soft plastic (which they seemingly have been). It's a tough one to tick all the boxes but regarding it's price tag and features I honestly think the Neo delivers pretty well

Then people get them and well expectations were set to high and then complaints come. Thats all I'm saying I think ita a fantastic wheel for the price but I think it's been overhyped in what you get. I mean there are people in videos out there saying its just like the 800+ dollar wheels out there and I'm like dude you should be setting consumers expectations not setting them up for failure lol. Like me everyone talks as if the mclaren wheel from fanstec is somehow below it. Dude the fanstec wheel is 220 dollars compared to 300. Thw fanstec mclaren has better grips and better feeling buttons. It has a rocker paddle you can take and leave it not the best not the worst. But it does have more tactility in the shifts. But I don't get this whole bashing on fanstec as if the mclaren wheel isn't on that level because it is. I own both I love both. I main my sinagic stuff but I guess when I got the gt neo I expected it to feel higher quality then the mclaren wheel but it wasn't so imo the mclaren wheel is still the budget king. As it gave me the same experience. But I will say I find myself racing with the neo alot so I guess that's a big plus and says something towsrds the ergonomics and feel while in race.
@CKSimRacing also agree on trying other wheels. Some really let you down. You know why? Because the people we see use them hype them up. They over sell them setting your expectations up high. Then you touch it and go damnit! Why didn't I know this! Lol that's exactly my point how you felt about some of the wheels you were excited about is exactly why I'm saying i believe the over selling of items and quality is a bit to much lately. If we all learn how to set realistic expectations we wouldn't be let down as bad but we need help from other reviewers to do so thats the thing.

There was no wheel with that many switches at its price point when it was released. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the fanatec mclaren wheel yet but I've heard that it's pretty much a steal, looking at its price. And I totally agree man, at the Expo there was a wheel which I always wanted to test, which was around 1k €...a wheel that also got a lot of praise. I was so disappointed and couldn't believe how people could like it so much. Maybe the model was faulty or overused, so they took it to the Expo as an exhibition piece but it was a real bummer. To be fair I didn't try it on a rig and just held it in my hands but that was still enough for me to not consider buying it anymore.
@@CKSimRacingThats another thing tbough. All of these wheels are getting lighter and lighter so quality feel is going down. They need to make up for it in quality grips switches and buttons etc. But yeah man i want nice feeling wheels that have a little weight. Ill take that over to light just to feel more ffb when i can turn up my ffb anyways lol. Plus ive never found the reduction in ffb to be as big as people make out. Actually ive found thicker nicer grips and denser wheels give off a quality ffb not as digital over thin feeling. Sure lighter wheels get my ffb details but i feel the wuality of the ffb takes a hit. When i use nicely made wheels with weight and good grips i feel like the ffb quality is there. This desnity to the feel that translates through the grips etc.
@Alex-eu7ls So far they're going strong. The surface has become a tiny little bit more dull looking but nothing severe so far. That being said, I only use the wheel with gloves

Do you have issues with the grips falling apart?

Sadly I had to sell mine. Grips were creaking and cracking under moderate load :(
