Thx for the feedback. VRS is actually working on that now. Partnering with reviewers to get the word out. I would say you should start saying stuff in the next month or so. Just depends on the reviewers schedules.

Sorry to hear that. I had the ticking and the oscillations but after updating the software and playing around with my settings it completely went away. I used to get random ticks durng idle as well and now I no longer have them. If you want to try one of my setups and see if it still happens, I would be more that happy to share.

I feel like it is smooth, responsive and feels good. I love both my bases. I would say tho, VRS reviews will be out soon.

I cannot say if there will be. I think it's more likely that if they were to make another it would likely be more entry level. 8-10 would be my guess but I have no idea.

Gotcha, didnt think of it that way. Since almost every wheelbase has the control box included onto the wheelbase. So do you think all of the wheelbases should have them on the outside?

I agree bibhave the DFP20 and DFP15. New design adds simplicity and ease of use for those in smaller spaces or smaller rigs.

That's what I'm interested in knowing. As an early adopter of the VRS DFP is there any real need to upgrade to one of these new bases or would I just be benefiting from now having an all in one packaging solution for the base.

So I know third parties will review the wheelbase and I am sure comparisons will be done. If you have the DFP20, no need to upgrade or change. You will be able to purchase QR connect adapter for cableless wheels. I would say wait for third party reviews to get more feedback.

Yes. Cableless design is always the best. This uses the same FFB as the DFP20 and is smooth, and crisp.

If you get the aluminum enclosure from Pokornyi. He does include them in the package. I had to search AliExpress for buttons and it was quite difficult. I ended up using the ones I had for the 3D enclosure with a nut behind it. The 8mm button.

You can use the QR50 from Simagic without a spacer. However, if you use the QR70, you will need a spacer.

@@grayzedynamics that 50 and 70 means what? Space between holes?

@patobugan3801 correct. They have 2 different QR's. 6x50 and 6x70. 6x50 will fit with no spacer. 6x70 will not fit without a spacer.

Hey mate. The upgradable is awesome. I do really think it's a great idea. As for the wheel, you have some great choices there. All depends on what you want to be honest. All are pretty good. I haven't tested the LEOXZ wheel so I cannot comment. Since I now work for VRS I try to be careful. I will say this, the grips on the Pro Formula wheel are really good compared to what I've used. I am sure there will be full reviews of the R295 soon too.

@grayzedynamics hello I got a moza r9 , no I don't need thumb encoders and I'm using the moza qr . I know that for the f core I'll need the hub + the qr , but for the vrs rim I'll only need the qr since it's 3x70 mm pattern . But I really don't know what wheel I should go for ...

So in order to use the Moza QR on the VRS wheel, you will need a spacer. At least 10mm in between. I use a 20mm spacer myself. I think the VRS Pro Formula is a really good wheel for the price. And the grips feel better to me but I like chunkier tacky grips. I would choose the VRS because I like it more if I am only choosing between the 2. A lot of good value out there.

@grayzedynamics what spacer? Where can I get one ? I asked vrs via email and they said that any standard 700l mm 3/6 pcd pattern will work with the wheel without issues.

@dusty6816 yes. Any spacer will work. I have a 3D printed one, but any will do to be honest. NRG QR is a little too big.

That is a good idea. I think if people use pliers or vice grips, just placing a cloth in between may be helpful.

What up man! Hope you living the dream, staying warm out there. We got snow here. Man waiting on screens is the worst. I reached out to Pokornyi as soon as he announced it and pre-ordered the screen. I have had the screen for months. This wheel is an improvement on every wheel he has made. It to me is his best work and the prettiest wheel period. It looks so sick. Now I am just creating an LED profile. His is quite basic but still gets the job done. This is awesome. I cannot see selling it and makes the immersion that much sweeter. If you order the aluminum enclosure from PE. He includes the back buttons you can use. If you do not an do 3D printed. You can get the buttons from Ali express or Amazon.

@ waiting is always the worst. I am not sure why he doesn't state they are included, but he always does. Not sure if anything has changed, however Amazon is a good place to find buttons.

Hey mate, so the current R295 will not work with third party bases at this moment. The goal will be for VRS to bring a wheel that be connected via USB.

Back of the wheel is a aluminum plate. On the picture on the site, the top part is just 3D printed. Structure is 2 aluminum plates sandwiched together. Paddles will be released later this year. They will release the plans and you'd get them as an upgrade in the DIY instructions to add later. They may also release the parts to add, or you may have to source as normal. No pics or drawings are ready yet to release.

It is a DIY wheel from Pokornyi Engineering. You have to assemble yourself. If that's something you cannot do, I do assemble them for people.

Correct. They don't have it all to assemble. They will add more soon, it's not hard to build either. Some patience is important.

@@grayzedynamics I built my entire rig and prior to that did projects with raspberry pis and the other board popular with button boxes. I’m actually waiting on replacement board for my Simagic pedals. Says delivered but don’t see it. Anyway no issue building the wheel but don’t want to have to look all over for parts. What’s the price once completed?
