Dude, you totally saved my bacon with this video! 1 hour away from home with the family and no start. Not to mention I just came out from getting a root canal procedure and no crank. Still on anesthesia I wasn’t thinking clearly and couldn’t find anyone to jump it so I went to TH-cam and found your video. I think the ignition switch is maybe faulty because the battery was fine but this at least got us home with the paper clip trick. Thank you so much! You saved me a lot of money and frustration. IOU
Thank you for explaining so well. My Yukon was just parked for 4 years and I would start every 3 to 4 months would just start and battery was charged or new. It stops having the Ignition lights as they don't turn on and no cranking. I had even used the clip technique in past as you explained and worked fine. I just wanted to know does the Key have to be on the "ON" position or "OFF" position when want use the clip or the other method. My mechanic saying checked all fuses, relays as well but its the ECU or ECM. He is also a long time friend and does not listen and would not consider using the Clip or any other method. Should I just go buy a new ecu or ecm the main brain and then try it. Thank you once again. BN 01/09/2024

Can you help me troubleshoot a 2005 GMC Yukon 5.3 2 Wheel Dr. Battery gauge reading to the extreme high 19 Volts I have a code P0 452 P0 651 I cannot find the short away it’s reading high I know the fuel pressure sensor needs to be replaced but could not really be why I have a 651 as well
If you see this I could really really use your help as you have so much knowledge in these fuse panels and where and how to wire and what wires go where and what the wires do please help 🙏 I’m at a loss

I have a 2003 sle yukon when key turn into start position dash light turns on but the gauges like the volt psi and fuel is not moving no warning lights. Battery is good and I also cleaned the terminals. what do you think is wrong? Also check the relay and fuses all is good. Thanks
First off great explanation of the fuses you go in to good detail in all your videos… I was hoping you would know what it would Mean when you try and jump the ignition fuse and it just clicks but when you jump the starter relay it turns over as it should but nothing at the key and clicks when trying to send power to ignition fuse. I changed the ignition switch but I’m not 100% sure it’s exactly where it should be I’ve tried every position and I marked the old one and the new one so I have a really close idea of where it goes but it’s got to be something else I think

I’m kinda dumb so if it doesn’t crank and the key fob doesn’t unlock the doors which fuses could it be. Both of my keys don’t unlock it so I doubt it is the keys
I have a 2001 GMC Yukon today when I tried to start it up it makes a whining noise no grinding did sum research and I’m leaning towards a flywheel issue had starter solenoid replaced in 2018 you can’t tell me it went out in 2yrs? Do you think it can be the crank fuse or a fuse period I’m just lost at this point all lights come on radio alarm works windows work just won’t crank over makes a whining noise as if a belt is not connected 🤷🏿♂️
I bet you the Starter failed or the flywheel is stripped. You can turn the engine a bit with a tool on the crank pulley and see if it still occurs. I have seen starters fail within a day of installation (especially if they are remanufactured) You can remove the starter and inspect the teeth on the flywheel as well. Good luck!

This method started my vehicle also. Not quite sure if the problem was relay, starter or what? What did you learn?

My 2000 Silverado 1500 keeps blowing the huge 40A IGN fuse. Any idea what I can start checking first?

If the paper clip worked does that mean it’s the fuse for that location
