One of the best youtube videos I’ve seen. The presentation is intelligent and the audience is treated that way. I’ve referenced this several times putting a remote kill switch on my truck. It took several reviews cause I’m not that smart. Thumbs up!

Great video!! All fuses are good. I switched starter relay with a known good starter relay nothing happens.Took a starter relay out of a different truck that works fine. I get constant 12 volts at red and yellow pins. Constant ground at green pin. I get 12 volts at white when key is in the start position. Relay does not energize. What should I look for next.

when you switched the headlight fuse for the starter fuse does it make a difference when you flipped it when you plugged it the socket ?

Thanks for the video. My truck was stolen and the cylinder lock was broken so I replaced it. I can't to the relearn because I only get a solid battery light on the message dash.. I did the jumper directly to the Starter and nothing but at the Starter rely I have power at all fuses you indicated. What am I missing. I have no crank no start. Thanks

My problem is when I turn the key to the ON position, the starter engages (without turning key to the start position)...like there's a short somewhere. I have to turn key back to ACC to get it to stop. Funny thing is it only does it when cold. Once engine runs for a few minutes, I can shut it off and it will restart normally. After it sits for a bit, it acts up again. Any ideas?

Your video it's really cool. I replaced yesterday the starter and before I changed the starter turning on the key I got all dash lighting right so replacing the starter I did good. Next day I drove a mile going at gas station I turned off the car after 2 minutes I turned the key on and no power at all no dash no cranking like the car doesn't have battery. I checked the fuses they are ok. What can be the ignition switch? Or what? I'm lost. Please answer me as you can. Thank you

My deal is that it cranks in the morning but after the engine gets hot it doesn’t crank, only the lights on the dash come on. But it will start if I turn the key to the start position and jump it the way you showed in the video.

Will It have any affect to my computer if I install a push start switch directtly form the two relays connection. I did put the ignition key on start position and started easily without the relay, went for a drive and everything seems to run well.Tanx for this very explicite video.

2004 Escalade I need serious help with a parasitic draw! Car cranks and runs great! Purchased a volt meter and I am seeing a193 mA draw. 108 mA is coming from the 40A IGN A fuse. That is supposed to be the ignition switch. I replaced the switch and it didn’t help at all. mA is the same. Any idea what else could be associated with this fuse? Would the relay being stuck cause this draw? Also my EVAC/ECAS 10A fuse is pulling 85 mA. When I pull both it gets my parasitic draw to 25 mA which is normal. Your expertise would be very much appreciated! So frustrated!!!!

Replace the cam and crank sensors and replace ignition safety switch is new also but no start now I'm most likely will it be the computer cuz I got no power going to the two wires to the harness on each side going to the coils

What happens if I touch the red to the white with the Ignition on? And the truck starts. But that's the only way I can get the truck to start. It's not responding to the Ignition being turned on to start.

So I had a key made at Walmart just to be a door key… well it turns out that somehow it started my truck so I have been using that key for a week now w/o any problems. Today i locked my keys in my ignition and had to slim Jim in and push unlock button to gain access inside. After doing so I got in and my truck wouldn’t start. Just acts as if the starter don’t work but I know its fine. The security light is flashing now as well. If I run direct power to the 10 amp fuse inside it don’t try to start either. Just a ding from Interior. But if I run power to a spot where the relay goes it cranks but sounds real weird and don’t actually start up. Lots of info I know but I’m at a loss and stuck in some parking lot. Anyone with any ideas on this weird situation help me out? Already did the 3x10 min off/on deal to reset security but did t work. HELPPPP plz.

Enjoy your videos! Don’t know if you can help, but I have a 2002 Silverado with a parasitic draw. I isolated to the “IGN B” fuse under the hood. Draw fluctuates from 60-90 mA. I remove fuse and draw drops to steady 30 mA. I have pulled every fuse and relay under hood and on left side of dash. Also unplugged all 3 connectors from BCM and no change. Draw only drops when I remove IGN B fuse. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you have an aftermarket radio or aftermarket alarm system? Many times those can cause parasitic draws.

I'm gonna bypass all that junk , hot wire directly to the selinoids small wire , just touch it to something hot in the truck it starts , I don't need all that junk they put on it at the factory
