    6:50-6:54: You say that but let's not forget that the Clones also fought alongside the Jedi and that wasn't enough to keep them from shooting them in the back without a second thought, so clearly just working with, fighting by, and bleeding for, is not enough to override the chip. Heck, look at Wrecker a few episodes back when his Chip went off or what Rex said right after his took full effect, anyone conspiring with traitors to the Empire is to be killed without hesitation, Jesse and the others were ready to do that to Rex and Wrecker to Omega just for that alone. So clearly, even if your friends with someone, once that chip goes off you will kill them without a second thought if they are enemies to the Empire.
    I think it's more likely Howzer's chip only partially functioned, similar with Crosshairs in the first episode, so while he is willing to do some things for the Empire, he won't do others. Again, with Crosshair, while he was willing to kill anyone who the Empire told him to, he was also willing to listen to Hunter and the others and even stick with them despite disobeying orders. And you can't argue it was because Hunter was his superior or because he still cared about his brothers enough to listen since again the Rex and Jesse example disproves this. Rex was Jesse's commanding officer and his friend/brother, yet despite all his pleas and ordering Jesse to stand down against Ahsoka, Jesse didn't do it and was still gung ho on killing Ahsoka and Rex too for treason. Clearly, a fully activated Inhibitor Chip means there is no reasoning with the Clone to stop, if the Empire orders them to do something and kill someone who is a traitor, they will do it and kill anyone who tries to stop them. In a way, the Clones now deal in absolutes like the Sith, you are either with the Empire or you're an enemy that must be killed, there is no middle ground.
    That said, still enjoyed the video Geetsly like always. And I can't wait for next week's episode and your video on it. And I think I know how next weeks episode will go, Hera and the remaining Ryloth fighters will call the Bad Batch for help and Howzer will join them and they try to break their family and friends out, which will lead to the Bad Batch having another fight against Crosshairs team, and while most of our heroes will escape, there's a good chance both Hera's mom and Howzer will die.

    • @kmk5626
      @kmk5626 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're forgetting that the Jedi were seen as traitors along with anyone who assisted them. The Twi'leks were allies of the Empire, so Howzer would have no reason to be against them.

    • @zexalbrony4799
      @zexalbrony4799 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kmk5626 Fair point, but we have multiple examples of Clones turning on pro-Republic worlds immediately after the rise of the Empire without a second thought. In this episode alone, Crosshair was okay with going along with Ramharts plan to kill Orn Free and arrest Cham and his follows, despite some of them not having done anything wrong and many of them willingly cooperating with the Empire.
      Then back in episode one of the series, the Bad Batch was ordered to kill Saw and his troops, despite them being their allies during the Clone Wars and having done nothing wrong just yet.
      Even in Revenge of the Sith itself we see a bit of this, with Clones seemingly killing Wookies while securing Kashyyyk, or on Utapu with how the Clones were arresting all the Pau'an's, despite the Pau'an's helping them literally a few hours ago to fight off the Separatists. Now in the case of the Wookies, you could argue that some Clones saw some Wookies helping Yoda or Vos, or when the Clones killed Lumanari some nearby Wookies saw and attacked the Clones in retaliation, and that's why the Clones are killing Wookies now despite being allies five minutes ago, but you can't make the same excuse for the Pau'an, since Cody and the 212th assumed Obi-Wan was dead, even though they should have known better given how long they served with Obi-Wan, that means there was no Jedi for them to see the Pau'an's helping, so they are arresting the people that just helped them five minutes ago in the battle for no good reason.
      Basically, if an Imperial orders someone dead or subjugated, even a former ally, the Clones will do it without hesitation because of their chips. Again, Crosshair and several other Clones seem perfectly okay with what Ramphart's doing here, but Howzer clearly doesn't feel comfortable doing all this, if his chip was fully working then, like Crosshair and others, then he'd have no problems blindly listening to Ramphart and hurting the Twi'leks.

    • @kmk5626
      @kmk5626 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zexalbrony4799 One point at a time. Crosshair immediately isn't a great standard for anything to be compared to. He's just already very loyal to orders even without full chip activity.
      In Saw's case, I think he had already resisted the Empire by this point, and wasn't on good terms with them.
      The Wookies, I have no idea about.
      Utapau wasn't killing anybody, so I think this one is shaky ground. A battle was just fought their, so it could also be to get things organized quickly.
      Something is definitely up with Howzer, but I just don't think it's all because of his chip being defective or something.

    • @zexalbrony4799
      @zexalbrony4799 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kmk5626 Maybe. But will have to wait until, presumably, next week's episode to find out what's really up with him. If he teams up with the Bad Batch next episode to help Hera without any issues then that will prove the Chip not working theory. Since, from what Tarkin said back in Episode 1, Crosshair reported his teams refusal to execute Order 66 and with the Bad Batch on the run, I'm fairly certain every Clone knows they are traitors, so if Howzer can work with them and not try to kill them because they are traitors like Crosshair's been trying to do and Wreaker did when his chip was activated then it will show his chips defectivness.

      @@Zeroblade57 forgot the source, but it was in some novel or comics, it explained that after Endor and establishment of the New Republic, there were still some Empire and First Order sympathizers/hardliners around, they got some posts in the Senate and politically motivated the New Republic to disband the military and rely on the pre-Clone Wars style of regional sector fleets but this fleets were mainly for law enforcement and anti-piracy(basically small ships like frigates and corvettes) rather than battle-ready military ones with huge capital ships, battleships and cruisers) and tried to stop anyone else from producing military hardware aside from those companies who are allied with them. Geetsly, you're the only Star Wars channel on YT that gets it. Everybody saying "Hauzer's chip failed" or "this contradicts Order 66?" What WAS Order 66? To execute the Jedi for treason against the Republic, right? There were no Jedi on Ryloth in this episode! Hauzer is obviously a well seasoned veteran while most of the the other clones are "shinies." Hauzer having a sense of fair play doesn't contradict anything. As you've said, the inhibitor chip didn't reprogram his way of thinking. I'm damn sure he would've started firing IF a Jedi were to show up.

  • @Badger71army

    I absolutely love seeing the early days of the Empire, and how it consolidates it’s power within the galaxy. I hope there isn’t much, if any, of a time jump by the second season, as I want to see a lot more of how Palpatine took control of everyone and everything within the SW galaxy.
    Along that same line, it’s very interesting to see the Bad Batch learn to manage on their own, as it’s not something they were ever trained or prepared for, not to mention learning to adapt to not having Crosshair in the squad, as well as now having a child with them to worry about.

His desing is incredibly cool and he has the potential to be something else, maybe the one who helps Rex get Wolffe's and Gregor's chips removed but dies in the process, or the same thing but with Crosshair, who knows) And because we finally meet Eleni, i didn't get the chance to properly watch Rebels but i know that Hera has a tumultuous relationship with her father and part of it is because of her mother's death during a resistance fight against the empire, the bad batch will probally cover this event since her death is listed to be between 19-12 BBY, and this moment can help to creat a deeper understand to Hera's character wich honestely would have been amazing to see

They're just one of the races that had it extremely bad during those times but others were having it just as bad as they were during those times before, during, and even after the Galactic Empire.

Even though Obi-Wan was there, we see in the background right after it's suspected that he escaped that a ton of Pau'ans were being rounded up by the Clones, clearly under arrest of some sort. The Pau'ans were under hostage by Grievous and the Separatist Council, and they through Tion Medon expressed an explicit want to be rescued.
