      Most logging companies that are legit (Not the illegal logging industry in the Amazon) plant 2 trees for every 1 harvested, and cycle sections of land they own every 2 years so that the trees from 6 years ago become ripe for harvest. Don't believe the bullshit that environmentalists push; most legit logging companies are self-sustaining. It's the illegal ones that need to be stopped.

      You can mine without effecting the surface, it's less efficient than open face (pit) mining but it is very possible. Ithor also has seas and depending on depth, seabed mining might be possible. There are questions about whether they went through a dirty industrial revolution in their prehistory, but once they could leave thier planet then they have plenty of moons available for mining in thier system ( 6 planets had 59 not counting outer system planets). The point becomes even less important once trade opens up.

Now I feel kind of bad about having their representatives in the Senate argue with the Wookies(Who I consider to be a really good species) in the first chapter of a fanfic I did. It's especially embarrassing because I also referenced the Battle of Duro in Operation Durge's Lance during the Clone Wars a few sentences prior, which I only learned because of your great videos, Geetsly.
    I guess I still have much to learn from the Grand Master Geetsly. As such, I look forward to the next video, and given it's going to be something related to the next new episode of the Bad Batch it will be guaranteed to be good.

I know they have two mouths on the sides of their necks but every picture of them that I see has multiple strips of skin or cartilage like a gill over it so I’m not sure how exactly they get the food in there. Must be a hassle to do so, or they may not even use their mouths to eat at all and it could be something else entirely. I couldn’t find any information that tells me how it works. The Gran have two in canon terrible "named" representatives. Ree-Yees was a criminal outcast driven insane by not being around other Gran, and Mawhonic, who was shown being annoyed during his podrace run.
    Ainlee Teem seemed ok, if only being nominated beside Bail Organa, but we don't know if he was a "fair" politician or more like Mas Amedda or Orn Free Taa.

      @cchavezjr7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well they were part of the nomination process to block the Republic from acting on the Trade Federation invasion of Naboo and move it to a committee. They seemed to me that they were part of the corrupt side of the Senate.

    At the start you mentions species getting bad reputations based off of poor representatives. The gungans suffer from that the most. Most gungans are fairly competent, but Jar Jar's unusual clumsiness seems to make everyone think the whole species is clumsy. Although, they made the mistake of letting him represent them in the senate.

    • @martytu20
      @martytu20 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gungans are generally insular and prefer to stay in the seas of Naboo. Jar Jar was sent because he was the only one willing to leave off planet, and with Padme as the senior partner, relatively harmless. An added bonus was they can rid themselves of Darth Jar-Jar while making it look like a reward for his “efforts”.

    Ithor: a Star Wars version of Pandora. Pantora: basically Pandora with a T. Pantorans: Na'vi but Star Wars. Also Ithorian culture: take life, replace with double. Same thing as the Na'vi. Star Wars is based off of a lot of other films, like how Appo is based off of one of the characters from Avatar the Last Airbender

    • @Dragondan1987
      @Dragondan1987 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Pantora was introduced to Star wars before Avatar came out... Everything you said here would of been Cameron stealing from start wars.

    The nicest people who speak in the softest voice. But beware when they get angry. because their shouts will reach across the entirety of the galaxy. And they have many many friends who will come to answer their call for help. Trust And love are there by words of power. And that is something no evil can ever destroy. The galaxy is so much better and more beautiful because of these great people. A most welcomed addition to the universe. And people many are glad to say are our friends. ithorians, Masters of Peace. Regrowers of worlds. Bringers of good times. We are not worthy of them. But they still care about us regardless.
