I just test drove the EX-L today at my local dealership, and I must say, as a current owner of the 8th gen Accord, it has immensely improved. The interior build is higher quality, handling is nice and smooth, I love the new 8 inch display with the touch screen below, and of course I can't help but to admire the new LED accented headlights too...After the 2012 release of the Civic, I was hesitant of the new Accord, but after Honda revealed this car, I was truly impressed!

I'm pretty happy with my 2010 Accord EX. This video and the comments here make me look forward to 2013-2016 versions of Accords. I usually by used. GREAT value for the money. I only have 100,00 miles on my current Accord, so I still have a long way to wait. It will be worth the wait!

Just bought a new 2013 Accord EX. Extremely happy with the purchase. My previous car was also a Honda Accord with over 210k miles. Lasted me a very long time.
The repairs start to get expensive so I decided to buy the new model. Not looking forward to having monthly auto bills again.

I have a '13 Honda Accord EX Sedan 2.4L 6MT and I love it. Not everything is perfect about it, but you could spend twice as much and still not have a perfect car. Seats are comfortable, there's plenty of room for five, the I4 has plenty of zip and gets good gas mileage.
The drive by wire throttle and steering are excellent and the McPherson struts, which Honda is supposed to tweaked quite a bit are the best I personally have ever driven.
Even with FWD, the car handles exceptionally well for a midsize family sedan.
The carpeting is a little on the thin side, but that's about the only complaint I can think of involving the interior and that hasn't had any adverse effect on the comfort and driveability of the car.
And if my opinion isn't enough, I get a lot of compliments on the car, even from passersby.
I personally think the V6 is overkill, but for those who need 278hp, go for it. The VCM is very smooth and saves fuel just as it's supposed to.
The extra 300lbs up front affects the weight ratio, but I don't hear anyone complaining about it, although it can't help but affect handling to some degree, but probably most don't push the limits of handling as I often do.

Just test drove the base 4cylinder and I was very impressed with the power and also how quieter it is now comparing to my 08 accord.
Very impressed, the dual screen is a bit redundant but on the otherwise is good too since the main screen is too far.
I can imagine how powerful the V6 is... I really like this new redesign. Very mature looking.
Hey Tom please upload a completed review of this car

I totally agree with you, itmegp46! I've had Hondas since I was 16 years. The Honda Accord is my favorite car model from Honda. That's Honda Accord is what I've driven since my college years. I've barely had to take any of the Honda Accords I've owned to the shop. The Honda Accord is the most reliable & trustworthy car. And I'm loyal to Honda Accord. You can put any expensive car in front of me to choose from, & I will still chose a Honda Accord to drive in. For real! Happy Holidays, everyone!

I love the torque in the Honda Accord 4 cylinders, they pick up quite fast when you are passing someone. Most other 4 cylinders can't even pick up that fast when you are trying to pass a vehicle.

I just test drove the 2013 Honda Accord Sport. It is da bomb. It feels like an Lexus. It has a lot of performance for merging into traffic. The steering is very easy to turn and there is almost no road noise. I am selling my Camry 04' and getting this. Sport will save you money.

A CVT(or Continuously Variable Transmission) is basically designed to improve fuel economy. The problem with most "CVTS" though, and this is true, is that they create a lot of engine noise, and, dare I say it, are rather... boring. So it's no surprise they're found mostly on hybrids. Example: The Toyota Prius.

I think the new accord is great no matter what people say. Honda may not make the most current and exciting designs but one thing I do know is that they age very well.
Just look at a 2003 Acura TSX it still looks great today

In 2012, Toyota Camry dominated as the best-selling mid-size sedan, but in 2013 Honda Accord sedan will be the best-selling mid-size sedan. The reason is thanks to the small overlap crash test, the 2013 Honda Accord sedan earned a Top Safety + rating for a Good rating for the small overlap test. The Toyota Camry is the worst with a Poor rating for the small overlap test. The coupe version of the Accord got an acceptable for the small overlap test, but not many buyers choose the coupe.

i prefer this Accord over the Sonata or prob the Altima as well. also if i have to choose between a Turbo 4 or a V6, i will take the V6. nothing better than a natural V6 in my taste. no win or lose here w the same MPG comparing to the Sonata Turbo 4. the only thing that i don't like is the amount of trim lines... there are a lot, otherwise this is a very very good car now.
still waiting for the new Fusion to be tested.
BTW great first look review Tom.

My 2009 Accord has 39,000 miles on it. They had a recall on the brakes, and I have had to have two complete brake jobs all ready! I was under warranty, and one was not. Also last week I heard a rattling sound coming from the trunk, I took it in to the dealership thinking it was a minor problem, but it is far from it. The problem is a bad spot weld from the rear deck of the car. $600 to $1200 to fix. Car has only a 36,000 warranty, car has been nothing but problems!

I think everything is relative. Toyota has been known for a slightly quieter ride, but that doesn't mean Hondas are loud by any means. The average driver probably wouldn't even notice much of a difference. Remember-- it's possible to share your experience and opinions without calling people names.

Honda Accords - I've owned 4 - Well worth the Money for the life I get out of these Cars. 200,000 Miles + on each one I've owned . As for a Family Sedan , I think you get what you pay for . The competition is cheaper in price , but try's to copy Honda . I'm looking Foward to buying my next Accord and getting another 200k + Miles out of it .... Plus a decent resale value out of it when I sell it

I would also get an Accord over an Altima, but don't be fooled. Honda has their own timing chain, oil consumption, engine mount, and transmission issues also, as the cars age. What amazes me is that automakers still can't make cars that hold up for even the first 90 days before problems develop. (JD Power Initial Quality Survey)

You wish you can get into a Lexus for under $30k brand-new.
Yes, you can go for the Titanium 2.0T AWD loaded options and hit low 40s, but a basic SE model 1.6T and leave the options list empty, you can walk away with a all new Fusion for ~28k.

Re the Honda Accord 2013: It says in my manual on page 298: "Files on USB flash drive are played in their stored order. This order may be different from the order displayed on your PC or device." On Page 285, the "Music Search List" should be called "Music Browse List". Honda has no plans to update the software so USB music can be searched. The system is almost useless and dangerous.

I don't hate the Accord, but just like a Corolla, these isn't much to say about it. It does the 'family sedan for 5' very well, it's comfortable, well-built and has good fuel economy and as common as trees.
Demerit? Styling did improved compared to the old car, but with cars like the Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion out now...it looks decisively bland.

, I like my honda, but I can't believe a 2013 Honda Accord do not have a side view mirror defogger and I had to purchase new wiper blades after five month. The car rides nice in the snow without the traction button on. The heating system is good only if you put on two pair of sox because the base of the car does not give good heat even at the highest temperature whereas, the upper heating is great if it's 0n high.

      I have the accord.
I took it back twice and I was told to crank it up to the highest because there's nothing wrong. It's good and its manufactured approved, whatever that mean. I was told because of the bad weather this year that the wiper blades are rubber and they wear out. Well isn't that's why they starting making rubber products, so that they can last longer??. I have not gotten three month use out of my blades. It didn't rain that much. I kept my car in the garage and only driven it twice in the snow. That mean how much use did I really get out of the blades. My guess is that they were dry rot when I purchased the car. But I'm not mad at Honda a sales person is just a sales person. Every one has to make a living.
