Looking more like a refresh than an all-new, next-generation model, the 2013 Honda Accord sits looking exactly as you should expect.
What's that? You expected more. Why?

11 years later and it still looks better than most and even the current model.
Decent vehicle. I just bought one a month ago, i love how the dash changes colors to let you know if youre saving gas or not. However, the biggest reason i bought this is because i need a car to last for a couple of decades.
Me too! I plan on have mine 30 years. I hear there reliable. Will it hold up a few decades?
Is the car holding up till this day? I’m planning on getting one as my first car
@@mccrock2820, i followed the maintenance schedule even though my dad kept telling me i could leave things for a little longer before replacing. Im at 105k now, about 60% highway 40% city. No real problems yet. Knock on wood.
@@Maoud2 what’s kind of maintenance did you do?
Long time ago, Accord was really small sedan and now they're huge! lol
my dad still has the 1.8 litre 1999 honda accord executive version, still works like a dream...
This is BY FAR the best CVT on the market...this one actually lets you FEEL shift points under heavier accelleration. That, along with Honda's reliability make it not only fun to drive, but ensures that the fun will actually last.
I have a 98 model (V6 coupe) - one thing I love about it is the styling of the backlights and brake light.
6 years later and don't regret to own the Accord . great car all around for the money
i love hondas. ive owned 3 hondas and thats because they are good looking and extremely reliable. my 94 accord has 220k miles on it and it runs strong
I love my 2013 LX base model in Orchid White Pearl!
MUUCH nicer than the bloated last generation of accord. And (relatively) quiet, too, something new for the accord. Like the sport, myself.
I've owned 4 Honda Accords .... Great Cars .... Looking Foward to checking out this New 2013 Accord . For a family sedan , I think you get what you pay for over the life span of the car . Sure some of the competition is cheaper in price , but who knows how they will hold up in 5 - 10 years . Other than average wear / maint .... I've never had any major issues with my Honda Accords and have kept each one for over 200,000 + Miles . I think you get what you pay for , plus the resale value on these
Minimal issues with my 2015 LX, 78k miles. Mirror issue I never noticed.. maybe my car didn't have it. Zero challenges with the starter. Minimal oil dilution issues. Zero CVT slippage, even at steep grades. Had no problems with the CVT, and actually preferred the immediate "downshift" compared to other cars (2018+ Camry) having to hunt for the right gear when you just need to go. Averaged 36mpg per tank, 70% highway. I did 6 hour drives with the cloth seats in the LX and was never uncomfortable. Really a great car. Only real issue was left rear power door lock stopped working. not a big deal since I rarely use that door. I could still manually unlock it with the button, and would just leave it locked all the time by default. Some wind noise in the rear.. overall road noise wasn't great, but I got used to it. Bluetooth always sync'd to the phone before I even got in the car. Always worked flawlessly. Backup camera was great. Tires.. while on the narrow/bubble side (205/65/R16), were at least cheap to replace.. $110 for Continental True Contact, which had better ratings than what came on the car, Pro Contact.
The only main downside to the 4cyl Sedans is the cornering. Lots of body roll! Those curves are NOT fun with this car. However you'll find forums on a simple easy 30 minute do it yourself rear sway bar upgrade that helps the understeer/body roll significantly. I never got around to doing it myself, but people are confident in it.
You guys do a GREAT JOB! The camera work and commentary you provide are among the best, if not "class leading" for auto vlogs, and I subscribe to many here on TH-cam. Just wanted to send some appreciation where it's due.
May God bless you all as you continue to use the talents He has given you.
I always tell myself I would not buy a mainstream car, but this accord is good enough to change that.
The new Accord is classy looking. I like the styling. Good review.
Actually its smart to trade in your Hondas since they have very high resale value. But to me a Honda is part of the family.
I remember the day I first rode in a 2013 Accord, it was a Touring sedan. I was 20 years old at the time (10,668,930 minutes to be exact). I remember being so happy, I was texting back and forth with a friend about something unrelated and then I texted her that I just rode in a 2013 Accord and I was ecstatic, I ran into my dorm with a grin from ear to ear. Some people say they hate Mondays, I'm here to tell you that Mondays can be awesome. (My first time in an '18 Accord was a Friday though) I found out later on that Margaret Thatcher died that same exact day and I thought that was sad.

I love the cinematography and the over all production value of this review :) keep it up!
Wow.. This is one of the best reviews of a car I have ever watched or listen too. Great job man.
Are those LED daytime running lights I see?? If so, are those standard on all Accords.
This was really good....wasn't considering this car until now. My other choice was the Camry, but I know this one will be cheaper to maintain.
Is this one cheaper than the Camry to maintain ?
@@marcoenrique8309 they're both extremely reliable cars, historically. neither should be expensive to maintain.
Very well done review! Thorough, informative, & highly relevant. Thank you for the video.
0:11 Third car. My dad had that back in 97. Loved it as it looked like a sports car :) (flip headlights)
I love CNet and Consumer Report for car reference. This review of your team stands out on on the visual front. The clever use of camera movement along with a movement car, the harmony of car interior lighting and the articulate delivery of the presenter combine to make it also outstanding.
i am very happy to see they r taking care of the older generation honda accords, which is very cool
I bought the 2013 Accord. I do not regret it!! Thanks Honda!!!!
Honda's not gonna fuck up their Accord like they do their Civic now. This is their real flagship and it still will be even after another NSX is released.
Excellent review. Best I´ve seen so far. Congrats!
The camera work is awesome! It was very interesting to watch.
Just an absolute handsome sedan especially with the sport trims 18" wheels.
This is a really great produced video, thank you for sharing it! :)
I love your reviews, you guys are great!
That 'candy apple red' really works well with the introduction of this car!
Yep, this Accord is good - and it knows it.
and that is why I work for Honda.! Great things going on in there..
I have a 14 with the 4 cyl and 6 speed manual. Perhaps Honda is more honest with the EPA numbers. EPA is 25/34. Never got less than 32. 3000 mile trip to Yellowstone was 38.5! Outside the park, speeds were 75 to 85, In the park was 45 mph.
The '14 have nicer cloth. I paid less than what I thought a Civic would cost.

Congrats!! Have fun!!!
Those backlights on the accord look very similar to the 98-02 models. I love the aggressive look of it.
great review! you always cover all the basic.
You have to agree that Honda has done it right with the new accord. Hopefully other manufacturers do the same.
I love the redesigned Accord. It's competent, capable, charismatic, and charming. This review was very informative and respectable. Introducing the new Honda Accord. This is a car that will bring a family to their destination many times over in exquisite style.
Best car review I've seen. Nice
People do not Honda for look. People buy Honda for reliability. Never broke down on me. Never failed me. Always a Honda fan and bought a 2013 Accord.
Looking at reviews of the car with good praise make me happy that my dad kept his 9th gen for 6 years before giving it to me. The 9th gen is an all around car
Some of the best camerawork outside of Top Gear. Kudos to your camera guys.
The 2013 Accord looks very beautiful. Can't say the same about some of the other new cars.
The sedan is nice looking. The coupe looks incredible.
My first car was a '99 Accord, fantastic car.
Nice review!
Honda Accords are the best. I love my 3G Accord it drives like a charm :)
i just got a new 2013 accord.....its awesome! Handles amazing, looks higher class with a sporty twist....proud to be seen out in public with that car for sure
Do you still have it?
How is the fuel consumption
The front looks awesome. Real aggressive look.
I agree...the scenery is just stunning!
Thanks for the Great Review
@LongDrivesAtNight I just got the 2013 Accord Sport. All of the new accords have active noise technology from the Acuras.
i love the design, its like 2006 accord so in a way nostalgic too.
I love The Hondas!
In the past I've owned the,
1980
1988
1997
2007 now I'm the owner of a
2013❤
This will most likely be my next vehicle. My beloved 2002 Kia Optima is showing its age. I was torn between the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Accord. Test drove the Accord last weekend and was blown away by all the standard features & beautiful interior. The outside is a bit uninspiring but I'm not running along side looking at it. Most of the time the driver is inside. I really love the low belt line and the plentiful glass. I'm only 5'2", so I really need a low belt line and rear window
Just got an Accord this past week. In fact it's the same color as the reviewer was driving. Love it, love it, love it!!! And I totally disagree about the seats. Love the cloth even if reviewer thinks it's outdated.
That 1st gen accord looks surprisingly good alongside the new ones.
got an 89 accord ex-i with 350,000km that runs good as new!
I am a Sr. Sales consultant for Bryan Honda of Fayetteville. I agree with this video. 27 years driving Hondas and I tell you after driving this Vehicle I am so pumped up. Honda hit the mark. So much to this new accord things you only get on luxury $50k and up vehicles. Come see me or go to nearest Honda dealer and judge for yourself. Again why should you not buythis Sedan. It has all Honda is about. See U Soon! Romie Hawthorne
I have a basque red 2014 Touring. Best version of the Accord I've ever owned!
they are reliable. just give it a test drive. i bought my accord last month
Great review !!!
Awesome video and music is great also.
Best Accord that I seen since '94, '95, '96, '97, '98 models.
The competition will have to take a back seat this time.
OMG, loving it!!!!! Honda has stepped its game up.
In 20 years this will be a collectors car. If I bought it, I'd treat it properly to maintain mint condition.
The blind spot encourages laziness. Look over your shoulder people. That was how I was taught to drive. Not look at the console.
😂😂😂 thank you I'm 20 been driving since 17 in I think blind spot monitoring is a extra distraction when you have drivers that really don't know how to drive be worst drivers like people if you adjust your mirrors there is no blind spot !!
Look up Gene Kim
Looks good, sleek and refined. Great for the masses and that means profits.
very well-done review......
The new accord is awesome it has that serious look
I agree, if I cant get one of those I;ll settle with an LX. I really do want the dual exhaust, 18inch wheels, and leather wrapped steering wheel.
I'm definitely buying the 2013 EX model
For me, it was between the Ford Fusion, Honda Accord and Optima SX and I'm leaning towards the Kia...The Optima is simply the BEST looking midsize sedan on the road in my opinion and value is second to none. Think I might be joining you at the end of the year
Nice review ... love this car!
Hhhhhh
I agree with you. So many still claim GM cars are made by Americans, while Toyota parts mostly American made... LOL
I'm just turned 16 sorry I'm late and I bought one!
Good choice. Good luck
i'm buying this accord in two years, but the rear reminds me on the hyundai genesis, which isnt bad
This guy isn't actually that bad of a car reviewer. Thumbs up for you.
Nice video
..
I have a 2012 black Honda Accord EX coupe with a five speed manual that rocks! Not only do I get looks, I get double looks and long stares even from other men. It’s a work of art: it’s beautiful with its lines and curves. The 2013 Honda Accord coupe’s looks are disappointing: it looks more like a Camry. What is the point of having a car you don’t want to stare at? I can’t see buying anything less in looks. I hope Honda gets it right the next time.
Nice review. Whats up with the Genesis rear though?
I am picking mine black/black sport model tomorrow
✔😇💯👊
Did you reply to the wrong post? I actually have a 7th gen V6 Accord Coupe. I still drive it. It's awesome.
Also interested in comparing road noise level (notoriously high in Accords) so will test drive when my local dealer has one.
Really looks good! I wonder why Honda don't develops an automatic gearbox like the DSG from AUDI/VW.
I like Mr Wood´s reviews
I want this! with a manual of course
I have had the chance to drive this car with the CVT. Under half throttle accelerating onto the freeway, the car really behaves like it has an automatic transmission. The RPM's will jump just like an auto when it downshifts. The CVT is also very nice in stop/go traffic as you wont have to go above 1.5k rpm to get to 20,30 mph.
After seeing a bunch of new accords at the dealership today all I can say is ... holy crap whats acura going to do now. They looked like they were just dropped off and the first thing I saw the back end - and from that angle it looks like a 40k car, particularly in black. They had a sport, lx, V6 EXl, EX but no touring. This thing could easily have an L badge on it and 10k added to the sticker. It is extremely tasteful and mature in ways I wasn't expecting. 25k dream machine lol.
i would also pick accord just bec of its sensible design and the feature you pointed out that you can easily see outside from its windows.
Most interested to know if they have overcome some of the annoying creaks that develop after a few years as well as addressing recall issues in previous models. Specifically vibration (buzzing in door...unsolved problem) and insulation in door creaking(solved that with lubrication. Also, what about heavier rims that STAY bolted on and don't loosen after a few years resulting in wheel rattle at low speeds with bumpy conditions.
Not yet ready to trade in my 2008 LX based on what I see here.
Having sat in a couple of these now at the dealership the only conclusion that I can come to is that honda is back. The way that they can take the base 23k car with a a gray interior and make it feel so tasteful and classy is a feat - it's almost how you'd expect a 50k cloth interior Merc to feel. It's graduate program smart. The seats are excellent and address one of my pet peeves in 98% of cars ... they have a long bottom cushion that almost reaches your knees (well mine anyways).
Motor Trend is reporting 0-60 improved across the board. I4 sedan with CVT = 7.6 secs, I4 manual tranny 6.8 secs, V6 with 6-spd auto = 5.8 secs.
that was my exact first impression also, the back of this car looks like the Hyundai Genesis sedan .
Oh man, i`m glad they added more sound deadening. The outgoing model has a lot of road noise coming into the cabin.
dayum i luv the family accords being line up together. still #1
The Sport with CVT drove fine. It was pretty smooth and quiet.
The V6 supposed to be 278hp not 272, from the other reviews on the new accord, but then again they can be wrong to on the HP ratings also.
Sadly, we don't have an Accord Coupe video review prepared just yet but we hope too. There should be a written review up on AutoGuide next week. I promise it will be entertaining.
