I am so impressed with your Game of Thrones reactions. They clearly demonstrate what happens when an intelligent person pays attention. I've watched a number of reviewers have a go at these episodes, but your ability to come to quick, mostly accurate conclusions about the plot trajectory and characters sets you apart. Even when your initial conclusions have been wrong they've been logical, allowing you to reset quickly and move forward. Understanding leads to insights, and your insightful comments are the best reason for taking this journey, once again, with you as guide. In conclusion I have been so impressed with your efforts that I subscribed after seeing only three episodes of your reactions. I've only ever done that once before. Bravo!

The Hound is compassionate but he is also loyal. When The Mountain was going to kill Ser Loras during the jousting tournament, The Hound intervened to save Loras, and when King Robert told them to stop fighting, The Hound immediately knelt while The Mountain didn't. His loyalty to King Robert is why he killed the butcher's son early in the show. Let's not forget The Hound also stopped Sansa from throwing Joffrey off the ledge in an earlier episode, telling her it wasn't worth it. He didn't do it for Joffrey's sake, but for hers.

Such a great idea to have them together.

Where people were starving and citizens rushed to the Bastille and Marie Antoinette's cousin was taken by the mob and since she was rich, they lashed out on her and they literally took her body apart and her head ended up on a spike. Though it's left open ended and the opposite is just as likely, the camera focus on his face almost wants you to believe that Baelish did notice Arya. But Baelish is the type of person who keeps his cards close to his chest. When he asked Tywin "A proposal from Tyrion concerning Catelyn Stark's daughters", that might've been his way of trying to see if Tywin knew who the little girl was. When Baelish realized Tywin didn't, he decided to hold on to that card.

If Amory reaches Tywin and informs him about Arya, she will be captured and killed, meaning her third name will remain forever unclaimed, something Jaqen cannot allow to happen.

If you re-visit the Hound, he's always been kind to Sansa - from giving her a hankie after Sir Maron Trant hit her on the walkway viewing her father's head, to covering her with a cloak when Tyrion stopped her being beaten, and even most honourable when he took on his brother "Leave him be" at the jousting - the ONLY bad thing he did was ride the butchers boy down - and we don't know how that played out...Now this. @drbrunch it is said clearly, in the books and show, that Tywin sent the Mountain, (and Brave Companions in the books), out to ravage the Riverlands. Anyone who thinks Tywin didn't know, fully well, what methods he would use, is fooling themselves.
Tywin put Tyrion in the Vanguard in his first battle, UNTRAINED.
Tywin said quite clearly to Tyrion, "I've wanted you dead since the day you were born." And "I wanted to take you to the sea and let the waves wash you away."
      And you *celebrate* such evil?!
The ONLY reason Tywin made Tyrion Hand is that, at that point, he figured Jaime was as good as dead after Joffrey beheaded Ned.
ANYONE who doesn't see those things is either not paying attention or is too dim to get this story.
Yeah, Tywin is a Boss, but he's also a cruel psychopathic evil man and absolute horrific father.
And you're sick enough to celebrate such a subhuman POS.

  • @CezaryAkakios

Theon hadn't seen his father in many years - a father who had given him up as a hostage for a failed rebellion - and when they finally do reunite, his father treats him like shit. He insults him, dismisses his ideas entirely, gives him a shit task, and all but disowns him. This whole taking Winterfell thing was his idea to prove to his father that he's worthy of being a prince/heir and can hold his own in battle. As a viewer it's really hard to watch Theon betray the Starks like this but it's entirely rooted in his very serious daddy issues. If Theon had seen what his biological father really was and embraced his adopted family, maybe things would have been so much better. But it's also reasonable that a young man of his age in his position with a father that shitty would try to prove himself.
I'm not sure the show is ever really capable of making us respect Theon at all, and I haven't read the books, but I have to think it's handled a little better there.
Great reaction, can't wait for the next!

Okay, Theon is insecure and immature, but he's not a traitor. He doesn't deserve that grief.
His instinct to lock up Ser Rodrick was right. He made a mistake listening to his man.

He is a traitor though lol, he swore an oath of fealty to Robb and then betrayed him like a month later

Obligatory "fuck Theon" lol, his betrayal of the Starks was really dirty and he couldn't even do it properly. He's not really worthy of being an Ironborn or a Stark honestly!
