My favorite scenes in these episodes are probably the interactions between Tywin and Arya. I really like how, for all that he's ruthless and a total hardass, he clearly has a soft spot for people he recognizes are smart and capable, and in this case it's made even clearer because it's a little girl. I always loved how he sees right through her and catches her in almost every lie but allows her to keep pretending despite the fact that Arya knows that's exactly what he's doing, and he's doing so because he knows that if he pushes too much and finds out too much about her she might turn out to be someone he could use politically and he doesn't want to be in a position to make that call because he honestly likes her. I also found it very interesting how you never see Tywin so honest and vulnerable as he is in those converstations he has with Arya, not even with his own adult children, since he figures she's not just a little girl but no one of any real importance and he's in no danger from her at all. If he knew she is Arya Stark he'd pitch a fit.
People are always sad for Daenerys losing her dragons (and I get it) but she lost all those people who followed her and never deserted her. I was more sad for Irri and the rest. :(

I sob every time I see the Sansa scene comes up. The trauma we know that would cause her, on top of everything she's been through, I truly think would be too much. She's already such a shell of a human right now, just pretending in order to suffer through her days. Also, you're absolutely right. Tywin and Arya is strangely endearing. I love all of their scenes. Each episode and how it all enfolded made each wait unbearable! I remember each episode by season 3 was like the superbowl every week. One of the great things about GoT is how complex the characters are. Even though Cerci is horrible you can see that she cares about her children. Tywin is a monster but is kind to a prisoner who is clever like his daughter. The Hound is a butcher but takes care of Sansa. Rare that a shoe lets you sympathize with the "villains".
I don't find Cersei complex. She's selfish and only cares about herself. Her children are just extensions of herself, as is Jaime (because twins 😬), and any affection she has for them is purely narcissistic. Tywin reads her down next season for the fool she is.

Every reaction I have seen is always shocked by Tywin and how he treats Arya as if people are solely good or bad. People are grey. And Tywin wasn't disrespecting anyone, he holds them to the standard that their title dictates. If you are a military strategist and Robb Stark is kicking your ass then yeah he is going to bring that up in a critical way especially when you send intel to the wrong house. And not just the wrong house, but a house that supports Robb Stark. That is a pretty big fuck up that will or has already cost lives. If you are a serving girl the treats them like one, but he isn't disrespectful to them. Tywin is one of the more honorable characters in this series. He may be on the "wrong" side of the viewers, but he is honorable to his values which are family legacy and the crown. And he will do anything to protect both.
I love how this show shows characters in a realistic way, like people we are not one dimensional. Even bad guys have good sides. Tywin is a bad guy in a way but this episode shows a softer side which almost makes you warm to him and like him. The Hound is a mean big bad brute, but he saved Sansa from rape on his own without anyone ordering him too, The Wildlings are not what you expect and Theon showing his bad flaws. So much different human dynamics and relationships. I didn't realize it but this is one of my fave episodes there is a lot in it.

I love how this show shows characters in a realistic way, like people we are not one dimensional. Even bad guys have good sides. Tywin is a bad guy in a way but this episode shows a softer side which almost makes you warm to him and like him. The Hound is a mean big bad brute, but he saved Sansa from rape on his own without anyone ordering him too, The Wildlings are not what you expect and Theon showing his bad flaws. So much different human dynamics and relationships. I didn't realize it but this is one of my fave episodes there is a lot in it.
