I don't think Cersei drinking wine says anything about whether she's pregnant or not. In our world, at least, the knowledge that alcohol was harmful to the fetus wasn't widespread until the modern era. Oh! And I thought it was kind of adorable that Jon was riding a dragon named after his biological father.
Nope, she knew. In fact, she avoided drinking wine in front of Tyrion and Jamie to make them believe she was pregnant. Still, she is Cersey: you can't really tell if she is being manipulative, deluding herself or just not caring enough. And for what we know, that could have been grape juice.
I think when Daenerys told Jon to ride Rhaegal she wasn't expecting him to be able to control him. Jon would just be along for the ride while Rhaegal followed Dany and Drogon. It is strange that she never questioned how he was able to control him and everyone else was so cool with him being on a dragon. I guess it just comes down to the writing quality of this season.
Yeah, I can't see many people finding that dragon stunt enduring or wise, especially when you want to convince people you deserve to rule them; And when the woman you need to convince sees you do that stunt; and already has distrust and reservations about you.
Yes, Jon just hopping on a dragon and riding it in front of the entire North raising no questions from anyone is one of the stupidest things ever. It's an amazing scene to watch, but it's indicative of this season's serious failings. 'Check out this spectacle that makes no sense to the story'.
Exactly. All of the highborn characters - including Jon - have learned both Valyrian and Targ history and would know that being able to ride a dragon means Jon has a Valyrian ancestor (and most likely a close relative).
@@zenymath Yes, we can. It was a huge indicator that D&D hadn't referenced the source material for years. If dragons had been gone for 8000 like the White Walkers, then maybe dragons would have faded into the vagueness of lore. But it is not at all believable that these educated characters from the most prominent families in the Realm don't know Westerosi history from 150 years ago - and a major civil war! (The Dance of Dragons, which HotD is based on). To add to it, many of these characters - Tyrion, Varys, and the Starks (including Jon) were obsessed with the Targs in their own ways. (Tyrion has consumed every book on Dragons he could get his hands on, Varys came from Essos to serve (bring down?) the Targs, the Starks spent their childhood pretending to be Targs. Even the small folk have their dragon tales.) Sam was just overall well-read. And Davos learned to read using Targ history books. No one questioning Jon's dragon ride - not even a small group of 2-3 "smart" characters having a quiet discussion about the possibility that Jon had a Valyrian ancestor - is ridiculous.
The simbol on the wall is the same simbol of the very first episode 1. It's normal not to remember it. You don't need to be a Targaryen to ride a dragon. Valyrian blood gives you an advantage though.
Blood of Valyrian Nobility. One of the 42 Dragon Riding Houses. Targaryen is one of them, the rest are Extinct. Hence why, U need Targaryen Blood, Because all other 41 Bloodlines are gone... Velaryons and Celtigars are not Nobility. They are at Lower level. In Valyira, Order was like this, 1. Dragon Riders - Highest Nobility. 2. Navy holders. 3. Soldier Houses.
@@dineshbalu6107 the vast majority of dragonriders were Targaryens, Targaryen bastards, or Velaryons (so nobility is needed according to who?). That said, the entire foundation of dragon seed corps is based on the fact - recognised by the Targaryens - that you DO NOT have to be a Targaryen to ride a dragon. Sure, you can think that all dragon seeds had some drops of Valyrian blood, but it's not certain in any way, and it is totally a speculation. A speculation of the same credibility as the one theorising that the tale about Targaryens being favoured by dragons is all a lie Targariens made up to consolidate their power, since they were the ones who decided who came in contact with dragons and who did not, so no one could prove them wrong. Moreover, since Targaryens had lots of bastards, who had in turn lots of bastards, and so on for many generations, anyone in westeros could have Targaryen blood for what Daenerys knows, even Jon. Starks were probably pure blood first men, but not necessary the unknown Jon's mother.
@@dineshbalu6107 Velaryons contain noble blood ever since Corky's and rhaenyra mated. It's the celtigsrs I'm unsure of. However Velaryons definitely have Targaryen blood and ability to ride a dragon.
Hey Sofie! Idk if you're taking recommendations or have these planned at this point, but I was thinking that you might enjoy the cast remembers videos on TH-cam or the cast reunion special on HBO as a nice wrap up to the show :D I personally really love them, and I def recommend at least watching them on your own, but I haven't seen many reactions to them. I completely understand Sansa's distrust of Dany and fear of the North's position past the Long Night, as much as I understand Jon's complete focus on only the Long Night. It's fun to jump between POVs
One of the greatest mistakes Daenerys makes is letting Jon ride of her dragons and letting the entirety of the north see it. You will soon understand why? The Dragons are for the Targaryens and are the reason Daenerys has power and fear over her subjects
I understand Sansa's feelings about Jon bending the knee to Daenerys. But it seems that few people ever see it from Sansa's viewpoint. Her fans have been watching her journey since season 1. But Sansa doesn't know her. All she sees is that Jon did exactly what Robb did. Both her brothers went South, fell in love, and lost the North. Jon bent the knee to a woman he barely knows. I'd be wary of Daenerys, too. As for the response, "Anything they want", Winter is here. In Winter, which will last for years, there's no harvesting of crops, so the huge army that comes to Winterfell will be taking valuable resources away from people who would starve. Sansa totally had the right to question her about feeding her army and her dragons. Daenerys, who burned the harvest from the Reach instead of bringing it to feed her own army. And since dragons eat only meat, that means that they'll be eating the livestock, too. And if Daenerys claims the North as one of her seven kingdoms, why does she keep calling it "Jon's war?"
Deanerys came with 2 dragons 2 armies without her the north wouldnt survive even if you dont know someone you give them respect when they are saving you.
I am glad you noticed that about Sansa. Seems like everyone is so concerned with Danni becoming the mad queen like her father. And no one seems to notice Sansa becoming the next Cersie.
When the season and the series is done, please watch Ryan George's Game of Thrones Season 8 Pitch Meeting. It is a funny take on the season. It is heavy with spoilers so please wait until you have finished with GoT! In the meantime, the look on Drogon's face when Jon Snow is kissing Daenerys is the same look that a large dog might give when another human kisses their human! That was well done and your reaction was perfect! I am looking forward to the next one!
Sansa is maybe not always making most sense in the overall picture, like you said, focusing too much on what comes after the war, but she is behaving like a true Lady of Winterfell here. Her only concern is what is going to become of the North and its people, how are the Northerners feeling and how can they hold them united. I can see a lot of her mother in her. She would have been suspicious about Daenerys as well.
I don't think Sansa is as smart as they claim. I think Dany came in with too much attitude. But everything this season is rushed. Poor Sam. Dany was mean when she told him about his father and brother.
I mean we all look at Daenerys like she is great because we have known her from the start because we know what she has done. But truthfully she isn’t from that country she has never been there and she is there acting as if it were her right when the seven kingdoms had literally fought all her family for the horrible things they did. So in the eyes of all this people she is a woman from a different country who’s family was horrible and that is acting as if all this is hers without doing yet anything for it, and even when she does she is just still a conqueror because the north fought and suffered for their independence, so really she could be the best queen in the world and they wouldn’t care because they are independent and they hate that she is helping them just to keep the north as a kingdom. In the end she is just a conqueror doing conqueror things like for example kings in Europe did. If she had stay in Essos she would be a great queen chosen by her people, but the people in the seven kingdoms didn’t choose her, they just fear the dragons, making her just us bad in their eyes as cercei.
This is all so frustrating, because of course if Jon told Sansa about all of this, or told them about each other, they'd have found their common ground!!
I totally agree with everything you said. It's deffinetly feels rushed. They should play Stark theme song when Jon and Arya reunited. Jon should bent the knee when everything is over so the northern people can see if Daenerys worth served or not. Thyreon used to be smarter but now he's not. And someone should sit on the iron thorne probablly beetwen Daenerys or Jon but we all know what's happened😖
Night king deserved to sit on it. No human deserved to be King. People always forget that the White Walkers are and we’re human and we’re turned they didn’t choose to be that way.
The spiral symbol in Castle Umber is the same as was shown on top of the Fist of the First Men after the attack - following Sam, Grenn, and Dolores Edd fleeing from gathering shite for fire... I can't wait for your reaction to the remainder of the season/show. Please watch House of the Dragon when you're done! 😃
Back when it aired there was a "She's the smartest person I've ever met" meme where Jon stared back at her and thought "OMG she's a moron now" about Arya. Hopefully someone told you to watch the Pitch Meeting for this after you finish the season (watching first a certain well memed commentary by the producers for episode 4).
Dany who came to help with the hungry dragons and with her army. Sansa's face🙃 Sansa: What do dragons eat anyway? Dany: Whatever they want A lot of people love Sansa, the way she grew up and all that... but out of all the Starks, I don't love her that much. You know what will happen next...
I really do not like the intro of season 8 (and when I saw it I thought it was a red flag). Regarding this episode: well, yes, it definitely gives sitcom vibes.
I was so on Sansa's side when she met Daenerys for the first time. Yes, they need her dragons for the fight against the Night King but do they have to love her immediately? Daenerys is a stranger in Westeros who has lived there only for a short time. It's one thing to free slaves but the people in Westeros are free. She has to gain their respect first.
I love the acting, special effects and things like that, but the writing? Dreadful, Scripts whould have the characters make decisions based on their character (Right or wrong) and world building. That's gone, teleporting's still a major problem as well as plot armour. The scripts from 7 onwards is just nostalgic references to better scripts and cock jokes. If the actors weren't as good as they are, more people would have noticed hos bad GOT had become.
Remember when Ned said "next time we see each other, we'll talk about your mother"? Jon learns abouth is mother in front of Ned's crypt
That shit crazy 😭

Great reaction as always, Sofie! I was waiting on the season 7 History and Lore videos. That has a fantastic section about Aegon's conquest and I was very curios to see your reaction to that. Also please pay no mind to all the negative comments towards this season. Form your own opinion. People take fantasy shows and books way to personal. For all the negative talk about this last season, it has some great moments and I know you will appreciate them.
Hi Sofie I really think you would enjoy the emotional ride of ‘The Last of us’ would love to see you react to that show.
You actually recall the soundtrack/score from the first episode? 😄I'm impressed
The interactions between Sansa and Daenerys in this chapter are like:
Sansa: There's not enough food, the men aren't happy with your decisions, Jon.
Daenerys: Oh yeah? Well, I have big dragons.
Sensa : I'm glad we are together again. I love you all.
Jon : I died.
Arya : I am no one.
Bran : I remember about a boy named bran Stark, but i'm the three-eyed raven.
Sensa : 😢
Sensa : I used to thing you were the cleverest man alive.
Tyrion : yes, the writing of my dialogues was much better then.
alright now the real Game of Thrown begins.
5:55 I actually never noticed that one but she totally did lol
ohhh sweet summer child....you have no idea
on another note, you're right the music was missing from the reunion scene, but omg Ramin Djawadi did a master piece for one of the next episodes...I'm sure you'll like it
I always have blue eyes.....😂🤣😂🤣
Jon bent the knee for booty, which is a noble cause in itself.
This is a really good ep. Manages to get everything setup. Dany probably feels she has a different relationship with her dragons than what she learned about other dragons and their riders
I started to feel weird about the characters(expecially Daenerys)since this very episode...I'm curious to how can Sophie call it"hilarious"...I don't remember laughing *at all.* 🤨
@@TheReDeeMeR1988 Mind you I haven't rewatched GoT in a long time.Watching the reaction,it _did_ have _some_ funny moments, but I'm more worried/pissed at the ones that _didn't_ make me laugh...!>;-(
Episode was hilarious but it was not GOT style. GOT style was more witty but then in this season humour was more Marvel style total dumbass stuff with balls and cocks jokes
One of the worst episodes in the show.
@@Nicamon I felt that way since Season 5.
Dragon is Jon's cousin that's why he was looking at him like that 🤣🤣
I can’t wait for ep 3..
The Targs are not the only ones who can ride dragons!
It's amazing how great your reactions are. Thanks so much!
Eagerly waiting for you to start House of the Dragons 🔥
Tyrion was still her jailor and he's still a Lannister member of the family who killed her parents and brother.
All indications are Dany did not bring supplies, which is hers and Jon's responsibilities , so Sansa is correct to be a tad annoyed.
The host should supply the upkeep and Dany already supplied the army and 2 dragons without it they would be doomed.
@@yusufraage8554 Sansa already supplies the upkeep, Dany and Jon are responsible for the needs of their army and WMD.
Moderator's Note: Please hold out a little longer. Our queen has watched all but the last episode. (See her Patreon account) Until then, please avoid any spoilers for the end of the series.
@@mimmo4762 It's definitely wine, I think she knows but also knows she's gonna die anyways.
They kinda forgot
You're right, Jon should never have bent the knee. He already had the support of the annoying dragon queen.
What do dragons eat anyway is a Cersi line!
She forgot that dragon riding was a Targaryen thing.
I don't think so
Jon came back from death for the fak sake .. them knowing the story ..can we blame them
@@zenymath Yes, we can.
The shape the white walkers make does look like the Targaryen symbol, especially when it's on fire. I thought that too.
Anyone with dragons blood can ride a dragon, not just Targaryens.
Aegon the peaceful 😅
You look so satisfied that you stuck with it.
Arya and Jon the most underwhelming reunion ever lol I DIDNT FEEL IT like i felt Sansa and Jons
21:27 Remember how the Lannister's were supposed to be Blonde??
The simbol on the wall is the same simbol of the very first episode 1. It's normal not to remember it.
You don't need to be a Targaryen to ride a dragon. Valyrian blood gives you an advantage though.
Blood of Valyrian Nobility. One of the 42 Dragon Riding Houses. Targaryen is one of them, the rest are Extinct. Hence why, U need Targaryen Blood, Because all other 41 Bloodlines are gone...
Velaryons and Celtigars are not Nobility. They are at Lower level. In Valyira, Order was like this,
@@mimmo4762 Dude, this isn't any way a Specualation. Grrm literally said this in an Interview alright?
@@dineshbalu6107 Dude, I would really like to read that interview. Also, what characters know is more important than what readers know.
Lol ik it's funny but they were playing it serious 😂 They were promised a Star Wars trilogy and couldn't wait to get out of there
When the season and the series is done, please watch Ryan George's Game of Thrones Season 8 Pitch Meeting.
Let's Get It!!
Except in real life there is always someone or group tasked with exactly what Sansa is doing, planning for the future, survival and change.
Planning for the future doesnt make sense when you're being rescued from the the NIght King.
Welcome to the final 3 seasons all mashed up into 1 half season... Enjoy it for what it is. Thats all anyone is able to do.
I don't think Sansa is as smart as they claim. I think Dany came in with too much attitude. But everything this season is rushed. Poor Sam. Dany was mean when she told him about his father and brother.
I don't think anyone is smart, from what the writers wrote
Sam never liked his father the tears where for his brother. Dracarys
bran in last scene just try to feel something
Dont bother pointing out every plot hole this season, it will make the reactions way too long
Dany who came to help with the hungry dragons and with her army. Sansa's face🙃
Sansa: What do dragons eat anyway?
Dany: Whatever they want
A lot of people love Sansa, the way she grew up and all that... but out of all the Starks, I don't love her that much. You know what will happen next...
Will you be reacting to the history and lore for Season 7? It's a good one called Conquest and Rebellion.
HISTORY AND LORES SEASON 7
"Dragons gonna be one of those. You're not my real father, dragons" 🤣
I really do not like the intro of season 8 (and when I saw it I thought it was a red flag). Regarding this episode: well, yes, it definitely gives sitcom vibes.
They were never able to finish the things they started and that's just fact.
React to arrow please
5:05 Yeah don't try to make any sense in this season. It will just hurt your brain
What about the season 7 history and Lord reaction.
"Imagine Jon Snow on the throne........" I don't think you have been paying attention.
When did show become so comedic?
Well it's because this season is a joke! 😂
Kidding. Form your own opinion. ❤
Atleast show a little bit of gratitude to the lady with 2 dragons and 2 armies.
Hilariously bad?
Btvs?
I love the acting, special effects and things like that, but the writing? Dreadful, Scripts whould have the characters make decisions based on their character (Right or wrong) and world building. That's gone, teleporting's still a major problem as well as plot armour. The scripts from 7 onwards is just nostalgic references to better scripts and cock jokes. If the actors weren't as good as they are, more people would have noticed hos bad GOT had become.
