I was just broken up with by my girlfriend of over a year. I once told her that I loved God more than I loved her, and her being an atheist that made her very upset. The truth is I didn’t love God more than I loved her. I have been crying for the past day trying to figure things out and this video made me cry more not because of her but the realization that I put her over God in my life and that his love is one that, unlike her, could never leave me. Thank you.
Thats really tough, brother, my uncle died an atheist but he was such a fun guy, so funny and warm, but he had this dark cynicism and low key hedonism going on in the background, and he didn't listen to other people about God, or morality.
It pains me to think of his eternal state.
He wasn't a malicious man, but lived an essentially self absorbed life of sensory freedom and satisfaction... the American dream, but an eternal nightmare.
Bring split in our love is hard, but our love of others MUST come through our love of God if it is to be selfless and true, else it's not really real love at all... just sentiment and attachment.
Praying for God to send you the right wife for you.
I had a similar situation about a year and a half ago, although not with my girlfriend. my mother has never understood why I believe, and I have had friends depart from me once I became a Christian, so she was worried that I would continue to lose friends. she asked if I would keep believing despite that. I told her yes, because these friends who left me matter less than God. she asked me if I would still believe even if my now-fiancée (she was my girlfriend at the time - has since also been baptised Deo Gratia) left me, I told her yes. again she asked if I'd still believe if my whole family left. I said yes, because I love God more than life. she was very upset by this and couldn't understand that I love God more than her. she hasn't cut me out of her life luckily, but she still doesn't understand. it's a tough thing to deal with when most people in your life are not believers, but like He told us, He has come to set a man at variance with his father, and a daughter at variance with his mother (if they don't follow Him also), so we must remain steadfast.

Can I ask you why you even dated an atheist girl in the first place?
Is it possible that you were being selfish? Sure, maybe you really did need to break up. But a successful relationship requires putting your own wants aside and dedicating yourself to the other person (in a balanced way of course).

That’s really scary. I’ve already reconciled that I’m a flawed being and accepted Jesus to heal me and guide my path. It makes me scared to think that I’ve put my own hobbies over my lord. The struggle against my unruly flesh is very hard.
I can relate, I’m very interested in making or listening to music but I know it’s not anywhere near as important as God. It’s a tough balance. I will pray for you.

@Black lodge another thought i had is that no one can actually prove god exist either….. even though i am a Christian I simply am because i think its more likely a creator rather than us being by here by chance. I think which religion is telling the truth is more debatable than if God exist. I could be biased but i just can’t imagine all of this happening by accident

@@anahata3478 I like the Great Divorce theory of hell, but I do believe conditionalism/annihilationism is more biblical. Human souls are never said to be immortal, and there's no reason to assume God would sustain souls in eternal torment, whether self-induced or not, when they have chosen to reject him. The idea of an immortal soul is more Greek than Semitic, and its wide acceptance in the Church owes a lot to Augustine, as you allude to.

it's definitely interesting.
it came across to me like the atheist guy basically views this from a position of "What? I shot a man in the head. what kind of moral god would put me in prison?" because he thinks that suffering comes from God, when suffering is just part of life. It's more like we go there because we choose it and refuse to say that what we chose was extremely stupid.
But I do wonder if a person in hell is capable of changing his or her attitude, or if they're just so irredeemably prideful that they don't want to leave and admit that they were wrong.🤔

You don't know how you have changed my life with this video. I wish you could understand how much I have cried over this and been tormented by my own selfishness. This was the answer I had been asking for God to give me. I know now I have not completely submitted myself to him and have instead attempted to give myself meaning and purpose through worldly things. My thoughts and feelings have been consumed with my worldly desires, but however righteous they are, I know now they will never give me happiness and contentment for all eternity. Only God, I have to choose God. I don't think you will ever see this comment, but I can't stop crying. Tears of relief as well as tears of sadness because I know how difficult the journey ahead will be. My God I can't stop crying, you will never know how specifically and personally this video spoke to me. Thank you... thank you for being the vessel God used to finally speak to me.

I'm an Atheist but I'm ready to watch this and learn from it! I love learning from everything and the idea of Hell has always been interesting to me. Much love to all of you 💖 I swear not all Atheists are bad, many of us are kind and chill.
We are just all people. Your sin is no worse than mine. I am not joking when I say this either. Not all "Christians" are ready to overload you just to be seen doing something. That said, Read the Bible, do your own research. Breath and look up at a clear night sky and and ask yourself how that can all be come to be. No living person can convert you to Christianity. We can only make sure that you have access to hear the Word. From that point forward it is up to you and God. Sure you can get guidance from folks that have more knowledge in biblical, everything, or you may have sufficient knowledge. In my probably, not very insightful opinion, it is both very hard and very easy for an atheist to deny a creator. On one side, we as humans have the creator's signature imprinted on and in us. On the other side, we have all of the confusion of being a human. We have to allow God to open us up to understanding. Knowledge with out understanding is just good trivia answers. lol
you'll get a lot of unkind, narrow-minded Christians overreacting in comments online because they forget you're a person and only know how to argue with others, not reason with them. Hopefully, you're not facing to much of that because I'd say there are many, many of us who love and respect people like you, even if we disagree. The earliest followers of Jesus in Acts gathered in the Temple and they prayed openly.
When Christians were being used as sport in the arena of Caesar, they prayed openly before their Roman oppressors and even Tertullian testified of that when he wrote a defense to the Roman Emperor Septimus Severus.
What Jesus does prohibit is the motive of hypocrisy behind these acts.
Love should be the ultimate motive behind the prayers, regardless if it is public or private.
And yes, I do pray in real life. I contemplate our Lord's life in the Rosary and His Passion and Resurrection in the Stations of the Cross.

Years of my life I have spent asking, "Why would God send those he loves to hell." And I used that as proof of His inexistence. I would say I am more capable of loving than God. I hated God....
Then I watched this video and then I understood hell. I had created it. I put myself in hell, God never sent me. I think I know God's love or at least want it. It must be like my love for my son, but greater. Hopefully I can free myself from hell.

God is sovereign and in total control of our lives if we just surrender to Him. But, He will put us in hell if we reject him because if we want God out of our lives, He will utimately give you what you want -- separation from Him. He will also give us the desire to love Him -- to obey Him; and we will find our soul's deepest desires. God saves us from ourselves if we only ask and seek Him. And, even our wanting to love Him, He will grant. Let him. Just like we cannot receive salvation from our works (which God calls as dirty as a woman's menstrual rags), we cannot find it in us to seek and love Him. God will save who he will save. God determined from pre-conception who He would save. Just like this woman, who cannot comprehend the love of God, God has not opened her heart. We need God's grace to break through our pain, our negativity, our narcissim -- the Leviathan in all of us. Only God can do that. This woman will spiral through an eternity of resentment and pain and accuse God for all her evil desires. LORD GOD have mercy on the sinner. For your Son's sake!

Before this video released, I had reached a point of serious doubt centered around the concept of Hell. I prayed about it after A) commenting on your last TH-cam video asking about Hell and B) reading Matthew 7:7. Powerful verse. I guess God knew I’d end up doubting, because this video addresses precisely my issue with the existence of Hell, if indirectly. God just used you, IP, so I thought I should let you know. The reference to C.S. Lewis was appreciated. Hopefully this channel continues to grow. Fascinating content.
What about Luke 13: 24?
There is a hell. It's very, very clear in the Bible. And cs Lewis was just like many other preachers today. They didn't understand what Jesus meant when he said YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. you must come, by faith, to Jesus, and make him your only hope of getting to heaven. You can not be found trusting in yourself. You must be found with HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

I mean that if you still cling to that guilty identity of a man dead in his transgressions, then you're essentially saying that the blood of Jesus wasn't sufficient. Through the blood Jesus shed for us, we are made righteous when we put our faith in him. And we can never lose our salvation, but we can forsake it(stop believing, having fake faith that doesn't produce fruit, abusing God's grace etc.). God forbid.. Out of love and gratitude for God, we live by the Spirit and walk the narrow path.

I agree. Personally, I never had a problem with the doctrine of Hell but this video brought in a new perspective. I believe Hell is a literal place of fire and brimstone but that is not the only reason to fear Hell. Just reminiscing the isolation and replay of sin you have committed your whole life in darkness is also dreadful in and of itself. It just goes to show that you can either accept God's extreme mercy or his extreme judgment.

@Israel Country Cube My guess is that it is a physical place since the new Jerusalem (Heaven in Earth) sounds like an actual place on earth, but perhaps doesn't have the same limitations as the physical world we have now where our souls are received a new glorified body since our corrupt body doesn't come with us once we are gone to Heaven. Inspiringphilosophy also has a video called "What is Heaven?" Where he goes into detail on that topic. I'm not sure if Heaven is necessarily an "eternal church service" but for sure, it is a place where we are with God where we will serve and acknowledge him but I would even say we would probably still strive to understand him more but this time in a more sentimental sensible way like it was in the Garden of Eden where we would also get along with fellow brethren. If I had to take a guess, that is how it would be in Heaven, but hey, it wouldn't be surprising if church services are there too.
This video is such a comfort. All these sermons I've heard about people being Christians but still condemned to hell have weighed heavily on my mind. God doesn't ask us to be perfect, though. He only wants us to try, and to strive to correct ourselves when we slip up. Seek Him out in love and do your best, and you'll be okay.

Jesus in John 3 says you MUST be born again to be saved (e.i. a New Creation in Christ, as described in 2 Cor 5:17). To do this, you simply have to repent and trust alone in Christ for your salvation, and not in yourself. God will create a new heart in you, and seal you with his holy spirit, so that you will naturally be inclined to desire righteousness and despise sinning.

There's no reason for anyone including you to end up in hell, in fact God said he is not willing that anyone should go there, rather all should come to repentance. Jesus Christ died for your sins and if you willingly put your trust in him alone and accept him as your Lord and your savior, he promises to grant you everlasting life in heaven. I think even before Jesus I was already in my own personal hell; depressed for 15 years, suicidal from my premenstrual dysphoric disorder that amplifies all the rage from the continuous pattern of betrayal I have been through all of which ruined my chances of obtaining/holding down a job or any hope of a stable friendship let alone relationship with anyone. The only reason I didn't kill myself was because of not wanting to upset my mother but even then I had gotten to the point of not being able to hold on any longer. If he didn't save me from myself I see now that I would have carried that rage with me even if I killed my body.
I've literally never had intimacy of any with a female especially sexual. But now I'm close for a soon wife I think. I wouldn't mind having female friends if it means it's a platonic relationship with those females. Would you like to be my friend?

Yes. The Harrowing of Hell is the understanding that Jesus, after his crucifixion and before his resurrection, "descended into hell," Hell is outside of time. Christ freed everyone in hell the minute ( their subjective time) they repent.

I think this is my favorite of your videos. I knew that Hell, as horrible as it is taught to be, had something to do with my free will but I could never manage to brain it through and make sense of it.
When I was younger I was terrified of the 'eternal fire of hell' and deep down I somehow knew I was going there. People always said there was no sin that God could not forgive but I doubted.
Once I dreamt I saw Jesus and asked him if there was an unforgivable sin and he said yes... Self centeredness. Years later I and have grown more and found Christ in love rather than fear but I always discounted that dream as my imagination because I didn't really understand it, but today this video reminded me of it and I'm starting to think that maybe that was actually Jesus I spoke to. @inspiring philosophy Thank you so much for this video, God is really working through you❤️

I agree with this, I put my heart and soul into a relationship with a woman and lost everything. Never learned how to heal, so I built a relationship with God and asked him for wisdom and help, he answered and lately I've been finding most if not all my anxieties and doubts are gone. RisingDawn When Adam sinned, His body became imperfect. God told him that if he ate of the forbidden fruit he would die. So once he sinned he gradually became old and eventually died. Once dead, He ceased to exist. From dust he was formed and to dust he returned. You’re basically saying that If he sin why didn’t he disappeared. That’s not the case. God told him to multiply and replenish the earth. Sadly and tragically all humans inherited sin and imperfection and death through sin. This explain the sad reality of being born growing up getting sick old and then dying. We are not perfect. Perfect bodies do not get old nor wear out. Man becomes dust at death. They don’t exist in any way or form. Death is like a deep sleep but without dreams nor feelings nor awareness of anything. All vital organs shut down and so do the lights. One is not aware they are dead. Death is the opposite of life. In life, you are aware you have your senses. At death you don’t. Ecclesiastes 9:5 states the following. For the living know that they will die one day, but as for the dead, they know nothing at all. Jesus compared death to sleep aswell. Sheol or hades in the Bible simply refers to the common grave of mankind. The Bible describes it as an abyss from which it keeps feeding more dead yet is never full. The teachings of death as recorded in the Bible are scientifically accurate. We know the body is a biological robot that functions only with the vital organs and blood and oxygen. Keep in mind that death was never Gods plan for mankind. He originally made man to be on earth to live and inhabit it forever. Earth was also supposed to be a global paradise which is not anymore. Adam lost paradise and the prospect of living forever. He won’t ever be resurrected anymore. Everyone else after him should. All those sleeping in death even to the pas will wake up again to their former selves. The second death in the Bible refers to people after the resurrection who will be judged based on their deeds and whether they accept the truth or not. Everyone gets the opportunity to learn Gods way. This is the duration of the millennium period. Satan will be released last time after the thousand years only to be destroyed forever. Never to exist in any way or form. The Bible says he will be cast into the lake of fire. This does not mean a hellfire to be tormented forever but rather complete destruction. Everything in the universe and on earth should be running the way God originated from the start. This is why God foresaw the future and is letting us know what is to happen soon. Religions that teach the body has an immortal soul are practically spreading lies. The Bible does not support such doctrines. Humans don’t have an immortal soul that continues to live after death. Spirits don’t have nerves so they couldn’t even feel pain, let alone burn in a hellfire. God does not punish anyone eternally for the wages of a short sinful life. The Bible says the wages for sin is death. At death a person pays for their sin and is cleared of them. Jesus died and payed for our sins. This doesn’t mean we can live our lives however we please. We must follow the strict moral conduct of Gods word if we are to survive the end of this system of things. Jesus said, this means everlasting life that they take in knowledge of the father and his son. Learning the truth can save people. It opens your eyes and it changes you. You able to distinguish good and bad things.
