I can relate to the humor in the face of the terrifying. It’s just how some of us deal with fear. I’m the guy who will tell you a knock knock joke as the flight attendant tells you to put your head between your knees. I fear God, I fear the furnace of Hell, but I love God and desire to have joy in the life he lets me have. I go to confession twice a week, and the first thing I do is ask Jesus to take my life before I sin again. What else can be done?

You guys cheered me up. The Fr. priest spoke to me, so to speak, when he said that where sin abounds, mercy abounds all the more. I have not been able to go to confession because of lock-down due to covid 19, but I am preparing for when the churches are open.
Also I wanted to say that I liked the explanation of hell as the gentleman explained it to his daughter. I would like to add, that I explained it to my 13 yr old daughter like this: God does not send us to hell---when we die if we are in serious sin, we are so engrossed in our attachment to sin that we don't even see the Mercy of God being offered to us. I said let us pray that we recognize Jesus and thank Him for His gift of life.

I had a very similar experience to your experience. As a near death. I will explain a little of it.
I lost my brother in 2005. I started going down a dark path in the military. I started using drugs and not caring. Just hurting. I always was looked as an outcast, that still affects me to this day. I still some what feel this way. However, I am fighting it and after what happened and what I felt after that near death. The love. I can't even explain the love I from Jesus.
So, after a while I was starting to get into ecstasy. I took it but after about a few hours I would get depressed. This was in 2007, so the pills were never pure. Anyways, after a few times I would get depressed. But this few times, I would feel my body go. A voice inside would guide me to get water. Then I would come back in my body. That happened a few times. However, the night I oded or should I say I tried to end it. This is when I had the experience. But he saw one good realm I saw both. Which wasn't a positive thing.
So, that night I took a pill of ecstasy and it felt great. But ran out. I was so beyond depressed. I told myself I am over this life. So, I grabbed six different pills of x and said fuck this I am done. Inside told me you will be fine just look in the mirror to see your still here. However, I didn't realize that what was going to happen was going happen, if that makes sense. So, immediately, everything was void. Like the author said. But something was inside my body. That's why I never saw it. This sounds crazy but it was my brother, the one who past on. He called my friend over. Mind you this was 1am. I could hear my brothers voice. I was riding like passenger seat in my body. He was taking care of my body while I had to go. I was unsure where I was going. However, I heard these prayers. I swear they made the hardest man soft. I dropped to my knees. I could not believe what I was feeling. Everything was telepathically, also like he said. My brother came and went with me. Idk who was watching my body. It was miraculous. He said we have to go. I was like, go where? He didn't answer. I saw the brightest light you can possibly see. Brighter than anything I ever witnessed. I felt love all around. I never wanted to leave. But my brother said. Someone wants to talk with you. It was Jesus. I never saw him but felt him. He was telling me somethings. About the future, that to this day I don't really remember. But he did say, it isn't your time. You can not stay. You have a lot to do back on earth. You will go through a lot of suffering. The Lord told me to have faith. I know so much more was told. However, I just can not remember it because. Jesus told me that I will make you forget a lot of what happened here today. Maybe so others will have faith. IDK. However, I got to talk my brother. He told me. See I am okay. You don't need to search anymore. I will never forget what you told me at the paddle out. (We had a paddle out after he past). I told him a few things that I hold dear to me today. It brings tears to me eyes when I think about it. I don't remember how we said goodbye. But the last thing I saw, was the future of me my family all together like a chain link. All smiling and happy as one. But where the Lord took me next... I don't wish on my worst enemy. I think that he needed to show me the darkness to understand the light.
So, all the sudden it got dark. When I say dark I mean an ever lasting darkness. I don't remember a smell or screaming. But I do remember the darkness was all around me. However, while I was their. I felt like I was holding on to something or someone the whole time. But then, demons came all around and were cutting and tormenting me. I remember no word can describe the terror. It was beyond terrifying or tormenting. So, I keep shaking my head as they ripped my body a part. Calling on Jesus, over and over. Asking for forgiveness. Now, mind you this seemed like it was going on for eternity. But all the sudden, I heard footsteps. I thought it was Satan himself. I was yelling screaming praying. All at once. But the demons, were leaving. Before, the last one left. He turned and said to me, that we almost had you. Mother f@#ker. It was Jesus telling me not to do this again. I immediately, came back in my body. I was laying in a puddle of water. I remember my mouth not being able to open because It felt like the gnashing of teeth.
That day I had to work. By Gods grace my boss sent me home. I was seeing orbs the whole day. I was crying almost the whole day. You don't understand what seeing hell can do to a person. It messed me up, permenately. However, it being now fifteen years later. I am completely fine. However, the first month or two were very bad. Took a lot out of me. I had someone I was trying to help. Call me crazy. Her had demonic things in his house and I just wanted to tell him my story. He flipped on me and said I need professional help. So, I do not tell this lightly. You can believe me or not. However, it was very real. I mean I saw orbs. I have scene things that would make a sane man crazy. I ask just to give me some respect. This was very real to me. I never asked for this to happen. But it did. A lot of people have questions. Like why does God let kids die. I tell them. IDK. But we don't know what that kid will turn into in the future or become. So, maybe their was a reason.

He was even hesitant on showing me anything. But he did. Because I needed to at the time. But like I said, I don't remember half of everything that happened. It was all so overwhelming and miraculous. My brain even goes blank when I think about it and try to tell others. That is the Lord. So, when others say, certain celebrities are in hell. That is a bunch of bs and religion. The Lord isn't like that or does not want any one to go there. So, I would stay away from any one of those posts or religion itself. The Lord isn't religion. I think that it's very difficult in this life with all the normal obligations of living. I look forward to the opportunity of Purgatory, and the burning away of all sinful attachment. Orthodox Christian here: Pope JPII’s eastern influence really showed in his sermon on Hell. See, we never saw it as a physical place, we instead saw it as a state of being of the soul. The difference is, we do not see separation from God as possible. Instead, people in Hell are also returned to union with God, it’s just that the soul is atrophied from sin such that union with God is experienced as eternal torture.

I once prayed to know what it was like for those in Hell even for a short time(I was a teenager and had no idea what I was doing back then). I remember spiraling some months or a year or two later into horrible panic attacks and eventually I reached a point of solipsism when I turned to philosophy briefly and came across it and having never even conceived of something like that. Combined with the thought-action fusion that comes with panic, I fell in hard. It culminated years later in events I still can no longer fully comprehend but it waa based on automatically accepting the belief that solipsism must be true since it could not be disproven. It was an internal pressure to belief it, but of course the very fiber of my being rejected it. In the moment though I was utterly alone and yet utterly out of control of myself since the world obviously did not change just because I was delusional. God's presence saved me in a way only experiencing it can. Eternal thanks be to God, that He rescued me from that. As for what happened there, I will not disclose it until I get it looked over by the Church, just in case. It is next to impossible to describe what the solipsistic panic was like, but if I could imagine Hell, it might just be something like that. Repent, do not risk it, it is eternal, inescapable, spiritual and existential agony.
God bless you, dear reader and may He spare us, and have mercy upon us.

This is highly abridged by the way, these events extended over a good number of years and me discovering various things about life, I never accepted the delusions. But they pressed utterly upon me because well I was not good at handling my emotions then and emotional reasoning was rather powerful in the moment. Was any of it supernatural in nature? I do not think there is anyway to know with how abstract it all was and purely in the mind. This was also where I learned about philosophy, psychology, spiritual warfare, and the nature of the flaws in modern thought, so it was not without point.

A Mike Gendron quote: "Roman Catholics believe Peter was their first pope, but to their peril, they do not believe what he taught. Peter did play a prominent role in the early church, but he always knew the church had only One Head (Eph. 5:23). That exalted position was reserved for the Lord Jesus Christ, who promised to build His church after He purchased it with His own blood (Mat. 18; Acts 20:28)"

  • @39knights
    @39knights 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

I think part of the key to understanding the reality of heaven and hell as described by the Saints is to try and grasp what is meant by 'eternity'. The bible records that not only did God create Time; but there will be an End of Time. Such a concept of 'non-time' or 'eternity' is so foreign to our understanding. People often reject the idea of God saying how can God punish people for an infinite amount of time for a time-limited sin here on Earth. They fail to understand that people will not suffer for an infinite amount of time; nor will we spend an infinite amount of time in heaven; but both are to be an 'eternal ' condition. I know this doesn't make it any clearer; but it does destroy that argument for atheism. Also means you guys need to do a show on 'eternity'.

I think it is so hard for people to grasp the concept that there will be no movement in time as we know it that it seems unreal, I think this is part of the problem with people believing in hell they just cannot conceive of the contradictions that exist there, like darkness so dense that it can be felt but you can still "see" the demons that are all around, also being in the one moment but changing forever, hard to get the head around that stuff.

I can confirm the 2nd circle with lust! God gave me a dream vision & took me to hell for my sins. The worst thing I can ever experience would never want anyone to experience. The feelings I can't describe because there's nothing that you can compare it to here. You can also feel circle one in circle two with God not being able to hear you at all no matter how much you scream for him.

Hello gentlemen, thank you for the videos. One question about comment at about 44:50 that Hell is the absence of God. What do we say to those who bring up Revelation 14:9-11?
9And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”
Doesn’t that sound like those mentioned are in hell? Yet, they are in the presence of God according to this passage. Perhaps our Lord’s words “I never knew you, depart from me” refer more to His turning his shining countenance away from them, rather than their ability to escape his presence?

Hell is a very serious subject to discuss ad it IS a very real place, I understand people laugh out of discomfort as there are some people who do that when their very uncomfortable. These guys are coming across like their joking and not taking it seriously at all, I'm all for having a laugh but not when something like hell is being discussed as there is literally nothing funny about it and the thought of it scares the heck out of me. Quite frankly I feel so bad and sad for all those souls who are in hell right now as they will be there forever, separated from our God in eternal torment 😔
Please accept the Lord as your saviour and repent of your sins before its too late

Its like having a human talk about teologicals, yes God came to the lowest, became man to show us that being up so high is not the answer. I love it that there is a priest the present of the Church and the men of family whom encounter temtation like any of us. It is so refresing and realistic, i do think thay we as a human race are allowed to laugh God gave us that Grace. Remember for those who judge: it is putting yourself as God.

10:15- that's true primarily preaching fear is not optimal but drawn to the beauty of God (Truth and Goodness). While fear is sufficient to avoid Hell the best way is to want to serve God. It's the same way you want to listen to your parents not just because you may face punishment but because you love them and have a good relationship with them. 46:33 yes Hell is the absence of God. Because of this they also do not have God's protection. So going back to Dante and Don Bosco about the levels of Hell, it perhaps corresponds to that place that someone chose out of sin that the corresponding protections do not exist and therefore those particular sufferings occur. E.g. someone not guilty of murder but guilty of adultery would not be in the place that murderers go because they weren't guilty of that particular sin, so the sufferings that go along with it wouldn't happen to them since they aren't in that place. They would receive the sufferings of adultery and would be in that place where that occurs having chose that in life and died unrepentant. This makes sense. As a side note Bosco also said even the outer most realm of Hell is unimaginable. The angel that showed him said it was like over a million miles from the center of Hell and Bosco touched the wall as instructed and felt such a burning pain he awoke with sweats and a searing pain in his palm.

I also find it very refreshing as they have a good chuckle here and there because shows their humanity. It can be discouraging for some ppl if everything is so serious cuz maybe they'll be intimidated by the religion and turn away from it. I know I would be! Look at the Protestant Calvinists and Puritans, taking everything way too seriously and offering only a cold heart to sinners who need the warmth and humanity from a Christian person

Father you do remind us that our sins will keep us from Gods kingdom. You tell us to repent and repent often. Never allow ourselves to be separated from God the Father. Telling us always remember, Jesus died for our salvation. We must respect that, be grateful, be faithful and repent through confession. Father I came to confession after many years as a Catholic. I went to all commandments all deadly sins made a list of my sins and came to you for confession. I was so frightened that I almost didn't come. I promise you, my confession set me free. Now, I will go often. I really want to go prior to every mass. I even confessed receiving communion while in the state of mortal sin 😔. Thinking that if I go to communion I'm forgiven. Quite the opposite, I realize I must seek forgiveness before receiving Christ.

I love my priest He was happy when I came back to the church When I went to the parish I talked to the lady that ron c office And I said I want to come back to the church She was so happy and she got at me To meet with the police . I've been to 3 confessions The harder thing I had to go back forty years to remember things and I put it on my phone so I don't forget Always spirit keeps mining me a stuff It I forgotten about . Online I did a review or Rica done by the priest I have learned so much who those classes better than before.

If anyone is to tell me that there is no hell or hell is only an idea I would also ask that same person that if that is the case, why does Jesus suffered his passion? For what purpose? If that will make the person pause, there is a chance to reflect upon the question. The rest I leave to the Holy Spirit.I am thankful nowadays that there are Christian who have been called to do teaching like this. They make up for the negligence of pastors whom you’ll never heard preaching about hell in their sermon. The coming out of many men speaking out today with such topic and all related subject suggest how we are indeed in the Last Day. 17:47

That also includes that you forgive those people who hurt you (some have caused deep wounds and that should be prayed to God daily because forgiving is a process) and that you accept Jesus as your Savior, the one who cleanse your sins. You always pray this to God everyday and tell Him that you are want to repent AMD change your life and you need His direction and guidance to your life. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The problem I have with being thrown into Hell is what permits one into the place? Yes, doing something wrong. But I mean some people do wrong things for a right reason. Is that punishable for eternity? Lame example lol but you get my point. To kill someone to save your family or something. Then comes another layer. If they are schizophrenic and believe their family is in danger when in reality they arent, then kill to save. Different perspective. To much fluidity in my opinion. But I'm also arrogant enough to have not fully read the bible. Just wanted to post this here to see if anybody is willing to respond.
Oh and heres another colorful question for anyone to respectfully answer. Our Father knows everything about everything. So He knows what we will be before we become it. With that in mind, would that also mean it already is a predetermined selection on His behalf where we go? Irrelevant to sins. Because He knows if we will do good or not before we do it regardless of how we think. So it would be pointless to do only good, if it was already predetermined.
Thought of one more while still listening 😅 religion has had multiple derivatives of it, so who's to say we have the correct scripture. Maybe along the way, someone tweaked it and we accepted it as the word of the Holy Father.
Teresa's vision would be the most terrifying in my opinion. Confined for all eternity is crazy. 30 minutes made me panic a little when I was stuck somewhere

There needs to be 3 things in order to be guilty of mortal sin: 1. Grave matter (mortal sin) - the act must be something recognized as evil and grave matter ( mortal sin). 2. Full knowledge - the participant must have full knowledge that what they are doing is evil and a mortal sin. 3. Deliberate consent - the participant must willingly choose of their own free will with with full knowledge. The schizo may not have full knowledge or imperfect knowledge therefore less responsibility if any. The one of protecting one's family - Aquinas discussed this and it is proper to save one's life and especially several lives. It may include taking the life of another. There's a difference between stopping a threat using lethal force and willfully desiring murder with no accompanying threat. Talk to a knowledgeable priest for further guidance.
