    I was skeptical about this but I have to intake my greens. If it’s not lettuce I prefer to drink in.
    I gave it a try and it is amazing. It’s like having dessert for breakfast indeed.
    An amazingly awesome way to intake the kale. The ginger was magical.
    Only one thing; my shake was not as beautiful as the one in this video 😂

    I have a bunch of kale growing in my garden I need to find something to do with I think Ill give this a try and see how it goes, bonus points if my wife or kid will drink it haha

      The Blender Girl I make that 550 calories in that smoothie. Those cashews are full of calories alone. Does your book detail calories?

    Dang I just tried this without the Dates, Cashews cos I forgot them and I used Almond Plain Milk. This was amazing !!!! I couldn't even taste the Kale. Many thanks. 🇺🇸💙

    😊I'm absolutely going to try it.. the bananas🍌 I don't know about... being diabetic bananas are not fun for your blood sugar...
    Is there some other fruit that would give this creaminess?

    how did you get it so smooth like the smoothie in the cups bc when you showed blending it up it wasn't the same

      I poured it directly out of that high-speed blender. It may have just been the earlier shot of the blend that didn't look smooth. The texture will depend on your blender. High speed blenders completely pulverize the kale, cashews, and dates and deliver a really smooth consistency. With a conventional blender you will not get the mixture as smooth.

    I tried it.............. I was skeptical...............it was DELICIOUS................only variation was............... I added 50g of Isopure zero protein powder, I forgot the vanilla, and accidentally bought whole dates instead of pitted dates (no prob, I just gotta open and pull the pitts out first). Oh and I used frozen kale instead of fresh and 2 frozen bananas. This is my new BRUNCH/LUNCH while I’m trying to shed my 50 PANDEMIC POUNDS. This is about 760 calories (with the protein powder added) I look forward to it because it’s not nasty. Makes about 32oz for those who are curious.

    Hello from India. This video showed up when I was searching for kale smoothie recipes. I know I'm 3 years late 😀but my question is aren't cashews high in calories? This recipe sounds amazing but I'm just a wee bit concerned abt the Cashew part ( though I love cashews)

      Yes, this is a dessert-style smoothie that is higher in natural sugar and calories than some other smoothies. Cashews deliver plant fats, carbohydrates, and protein. To reduce your intake of cashews, you can halve the quantity.

      You can use 1/2 cup of young Thai coconut to replace the cashews. The smoothie will be creamy and delicious. But, it won't have the same flavor.

    I have a question: I live in a condo and have a very loud blender, I’m a early morning workout chick and 8am is way too early to run that blender and disturb everyone so............. Can I make this in the early evening and put it in the fridge to stir and enjoy the following morning?

      Yes, this smoothie keeps for a few days and the flavor doesn't change. So, you can definitely save the second portion for the next day.

      @@Ms88keys1 I can hear my blender running from outside the building but no one has complained. Could be due to the fact that the neighbor across the hall is loud and I never complain. A smoothie takes about a minute to blend and people in apartment buildings need to realize it's not their private home and some noise is to be expected and tolerated. I would just blend when you want to drink it and not worry about it!

      This recipe makes two 16-ounce servings. The smoothie will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days without altering flavor. Store in a sealed container to reduce the oxidation.

      It depends on how big the dates are. But, on average, about 3 dates, maybe 4.

      You could try mango. Like banana, mango will add sweetness and a silky/creamy texture to the smoothie.

      To activate the full nutrient potential and get the smoothest texture, soak your cashews for 2 hours, then drain and rinse, and discard the soaking water. Or, you can boil the kettle, and soak them in boiled hot water for 10 minutes, then drain. This softens them but does not neutralize the enzyme inhibitors.

      That means you need to eat it more, tastebuds adapt to the foods your body knows. Start with a tiny amount and increase it every day. By 2 months you could have straight kale.
