  • This is my review of the IWI Tavor TS12 shotgun. It's an absolutely bonkers firearm and amazing to shoot too! If you want one you can go here: midlo-armament...! We also have other things in stock so be sure to check out the store for more products and information!
    Update 4/1/20 - This review was kind of thrown together quickly (and yes, it shows) since the TS12 got here on the one day of sunshine among 2 weeks of rain. Oh well. Looking forward to the next one as it will be in more detail and researched instead of just thrown together. Stay tuned!

    I believe your 'rating' system might be more applicable to someone going to war, and not a gun enthusiast who's running it from time to time at the range, and getting to know it for a quick pickup and clear their house. I love this thing, and 65/100 is shortchanging it. When you can pick up something in 12 gauge, High or Low Brass, and has the firepower of 15 rounds in a compact package in a moments notice, YOU'VE GOT something. Shotgun power is underrated across the board. This one sews it together in a kick-ass - take names later kind of gun. Hands down.

    Just an FYI you pull the charging handle out and use it to change the gas settings.

    Not sure which TS12 you got but my TS12 only weighs 8 lbs and slightly over 9 lbs when loaded. And it actually feels lighter than that to me. Balanced very well and easy to maneuver. I can get 15 shots downrange in about 20 seconds. Excellent home defense weapon and leans up against my night stand every night. I've held AK's and AR's that feel heavier to me.

      Yep , they are out there & I stopped waiting for RemArms to come online with their factory to produce the V3 Tactical that I have been seriously looking at. Well its a good thing RemArms is dragging their feet. I decided the IWI Tavor TS 12 is a much better higher quality / higher capacity semi auto ! Got a Mean Green TS 12 coming ! Looking forward to taking it apart & lubing it BEFORE going to the range ! Also will cycle the heavy Buck Shot / Slugs for its 1st 100 meals at the range. 1st shot gun probably my only shot gun because of its capabilities !

    You can adjust the H/L gas setting with the charging lever. No need to take the front apart.

    I have mt TS12 that was converted to left hand (love this!) by IWI. They told me that I have the first left hand TS12 in the nation. IWI will convert your right hand TS12 to a left had version frr of charge and they pay for shipping both ways as ling as you purchased the TS12 prior to 4/14/21. You will have to pay for the conversion if you purchased after 4/14/21.

  • @michaelrobins320

    You don’t have to unscrew the barrel cap and remove the shroud to adjust the gas block from low to high brass just pop the curled charger nut off it will fit in the slot over the gas block and lever from High to low ,l ow to high

      I picked up a TS12 a month ago and man oh man it’s awesome. Real easy to manage also. Most videos I see of people shooting it seem cool but some run cheap SBR ammo that’s actually longer than 2 3/4. That’s why it jams on them ever so often. The good ammo like federal cycles through perfect.

    On you scoring in the categories of after market options and accuracy, I'd have to agree to disagree. Because of the rail system housing this weapon has, just about about any scope, laser or tactical light you can get for the AR-15 (and there is a ton of them) you can install on the TS12 without any modifications.
    Second, and the biggest complaint was your judging its accuracy. Get real guy, you were shooting it totally blind. You can't hit what you can't see.
    Try installing any of the smaller red dot tactical scopes (most will fit) and you will find the TS12 to be one of the most accurate 12ga.s on the market. You can hit 6 to 8" steel plates at 100 plus yards very easily with rifled slugs. Take your tritium sights off you favorite. 357 or your scope off your .307 and see how accurate they are. If you choose to go the cheapest route, then you get what you pay for. That's on you. But it's unrealistic and poor judgment to think you can shoot them blind.

    My understanding from IWI is that you can buy a left handed version or send it back to IWI for the conversion. Not able to do it at home.

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is true. I just made a review on this platform and you cannot switch this over to left handed ejection at home, which is a bummer as it’s advertised as a fully ambidextrous firearm

    Fully semi auto

  • @sweetcostarica
    @sweetcostarica 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The number one thing (most important by far) is *_reliability._* Is the IWI Tavor 12 semi-auto shotgun reliable?
    Answer: the jury is out. In the *"honest"* videos you actually see the TS-12 jam on ammo with failures to feed/eject.
    These video makers include ALL their footage and are non-bias & almost always not a gun dealers.
    If I knew this TS-12 was fixed of it's jamming issues I would buy it - but no one knows at this time (July 3rd, 2021) if it works all the time.

    • @ag4allgood
      @ag4allgood 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IWI recommends cycling at least 100 rounds of Buckshot or Slugs thru it before even trying the under Bird Shot rounds ( the manual even tells you keep the rounds above 1200 fps ). Also a good idea to take it apart & lube it before shooting it for the 1st time. The TS 12 needs a break in period common with many semi auto shot guns including the Benelli M4 ! These reviewers with problems have skipped these steps. Even the M4 won't like the Bird Shot without proper break in. Treat it right !

    • @sweetcostarica
      @sweetcostarica 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ag4allgood You may be right about the breaking in and under 1200 loads. Time will tell from non-gun industry reviewers as they tell the whole truth and are not holding back.

    cutting them in half is such a mess. UNLESS you live by the woods or a body of water. Sadly, even though I live on the coast of Mississippi, not close enough to a body of water. I'm not dragging parts 2 blocks or putting it in my nice Highlander, either. I bought HellFire rounds for it. LOL, you can cook em and eat em. And with the way Biden's America is going, might not be a bad idea.
