One major advantage of the Cuisinart over the Keurigs is that the reusable Cuisinart filter can hold more coffee grounds than the Keurigs. Keurigs hold at max 12g of coffee grounds while the Cuisinart can hold 16g. That makes a big difference in taste when brewing a larger cup.
Also, the water flow with the strong brew on the Elite runs the same amount of time as the Cuisinart (1 minute by time on your video), which means despite being a "stronger" brew, it has the same level of extraction as the Cuisinart. Maybe the Elite runs hotter water when strong brew is selected?
Another advantage with the Cuisinart is the 4oz function. Since you tend to drink 8oz coffees, you can fill your reusable cup with more coffee (16g vs 12g) and then hitting the 4oz button twice to make two 4oz brews using the same coffee grounds into one cup. The extra water flow time for two brews will make the coffee stronger. The Keurig Supreme also has a 4oz function so you can use it to do the same but consider how much faster it brews (45 sec vs 1 minute from the others), I imagine the Cuisinart will produce the better cup.

Same problems with the K Supreme. After descaling process the machine wouldn’t power on. Had to return it. My guess is it’s a known issue associated with descaling process. Got a new k unit being sent to me from Kuerig but bought the Cuisnart to be safe

I've had the Cuisinart K-cup single serve for 3 years and recently purchased the Keurig K Supreme mostly for its aesthetics. The first thing I noticed was the difference in water flow. The Cuisinart has a very steady flow of coffee, whereas the Keurig has a very weak brittle flow. Not sure if it is something that could potentially cause issues in the long run. Has anyone else noticed this as well? has anyone experienced coffee flow issues with their Keurig?
I have seen this also with some models of Keurig's.
Very late reply here ... but yes, the coffee flow over time just gets worse and worse. Very weak stream and spluttering all over the machine, into the reservoir and counter. I am currently searching for a decent replacement.

I just bought the Keurig supreme (it hasn’t shipped yet)
I’m wondering if the additional needles on top help with the issue of some pods not puncturing properly and overflowing in the machine. My Keurig classic would have that problem and it was very cumbersome to try and clean.
The only solution I found was to pre-puncture the cups to release the extra pressure
In your experience, do you need to still do that with the K supreme?
i just threw my keurig supreme in the trash, started malfunctioning after only owning it for 5 months, just received the cuisinart today

@@JustADad it wasn't giving me a full 8oz cup it would only spit out like an ounce so I had to hit the button 5-8 times to get a cup of coffee, tried descaling and nothing, same problem. Love the Cuisinart!

Strong brew taste on the Cuisinart is setting it to extra hot water. PS. Don’t buy these used to save a few bucks. It’s not worth it. Buy these new. Always.

How would that make it stronger? Doesn’t make sense. The Cuisinart website even states that the model DOESN’T have strength control.
Length of extraction time is what differentiates “strong brew” in single-serve makers, not temperature.
I’m shopping for a coffee maker for my wife (I don’t drink coffee). I had it narrowed down between the keurig supreme and the Cuisinart SS-10P1. It was nice to see them side by side in this video.
I was leaning towards the SS-10P1 because of the hot water and cleaning features, and because it comes with a reusable cup for your own coffee, but I still don’t know what to do. They both have good and terrible reviews.
Maybe l should find a third contender that doesn’t have terrible reviews.
Final decision. Going with keurig supreme. It is a more elite brand and will be better received as a gift. The water reservoir with the handle is also a lot nicer. The cuisinart is louder and it sounds like the current version is cheaply made.
So, keurig supreme it is.

I went with the keurig supreme. She loves it. It is quiet, looks good, and does what it is supposed to do. 100% satisfied with the choice, zero regrets.

In your separate review of the Cuisinart SS-10 you noted that it has a water temperature control. Does that have the same effect as the Strong setting on the Keurigs?

K Elite makes a hot cup of coffee and K supreme does as well. unfortunately they all cool off really quick. lots of people pre heat there mug before.

@@JustADad … no they don’t. I just bought a off brand k cups at BJ’s and it would not pierce the k cup. I got just water brewing out of it. Also the donut shop brand did the same. I have an older keurig with the one needle and it did just fine with the kcups I bought.
The K Supreme is nice until it's not. Did a descale and it powered off and now possibly needs reset . You shouldn't have to dismantle a product to repair a design flaw. Probably wont buy another Keurig.
I had 2 Keurig Supremes fail in under 6 months ridiculous. I had them send me an Elite because I dont trust the supreme. I use filtered water and descale reguraly so it wasnt a maintenece issue.

The supreme with the five needles probably cannot be used if you have your own reusable k-cups.

That’s what I’ve found too. Not hot enough. My old Keurig B70 just died and I’m looking for something that just can make a hot cup. Please let me know if you’ve found one.
The cuisinart is garbage I have the original model they made the new model cheaper in every way. The original was amazing they wanted to save money so they made the cheapest pile of garbage they could.

@@JustADad it’s the SS-700 the lid that you lift up is metal it looks way better more retro it holds more water it has a light in the water thing that when you turn on lights it up blue all of the plastic is built stronger the filter is better I could go on and on I love my SS-700 I would have bought one every time I needed a new one but cuisinart apparently does not care about there customers so they bring out the new model with cheap piece of garbage. Don’t take my word for it go look it up on Amazon and look for the comments of people who had the old model there are tons.

@@coolvideo28 I've had two ss700 both eventually failed. Works better with out your own coffee in . When I use k cups it stops working it trickles and doesn't fill up. I've cleaned w vinegar cleaned needle . Reset it . Etc . Love when it works but the all sudden stops working only w k cups
@@johnanderson3746 mine is still working I started having a few issues so I thought it was going to die so I researched a ton and got the best Keurig. Turns out I cleaned it and still works. Don’t know if this would help but do you use the container to put the k cup in then put that in the coffee machine? I never did. Don’t think that would be your issue but there is probably a video somewhere on TH-cam to fix your issue
