      I have a technivorm and thought about getting into espresso. I have the funds that I could get some of the really nice stuff but if I did-this is more of what I’d want. Or that breville smart one that tamps for you.
      But I still never went that route because I don’t want to spend that much time making coffee.

      Ninja stuff is cheap and poorly built though. Most of the stuff I've owned hasn't lasted much more than 2 years (normally just outside of warranty).

    Your review and Tom's at Tom's Coffee made me finally take the jump into this machine. It's my 4th machine in 4 years, the last being the GCP. Having learned on the semi-automatics-- this thing is AMAZING, and i think there's a lot of hope out there that this thing will disrupt the industry. It's consistent, and it just works! Thanks for the videos!

    As an American, I felt that comment about the drip coffee. That's exactly the kind of nostalgia I get when I do pour overs! I was originally looking at the Breville Espresso Express Impress because we're lazy in the morning and just want good fast espresso, but now this review got me changing my mind. My only concern is how it will hold up over the years, but since it just came out, there's really no way to know that. My wife very consistently wants easy lattes in the morning, whereas I want different things on different days, so I think this machine definitely works for us. Thanks for the thorough review and step by step walkthrough!

    The second day I had mine, I felt like I was in a comedy movie as I couldn't get it to do what I wanted...it definitely KNOWS which basket is inserted and will not let you, for example, pull a double-shot with the Luxe basket. What I love is that it's both idiot proof for ease, but you can even set up the coffee/water ratio (to some extent) if you know the buttons. I get to be stupid and let it do it's thing most of the time and I can't complain about the output or product.

    not gonna lie, for what you get for $500 USD, it is an amazing deal for a machine. I am thoroughly intrigued by this machine. I see this machine as a trendsetter for the upscale espresso machine market in providing machines that have more features to them for less...I can see more $500-1000 machines with extra tools, PIDs, display screens and even that frothy pitcher thing and the quad shot portafilter on em --whereas today you wont see none of these features outside a machine less than $1500-2000 USD.

    2 personal observations
    1: essentially an automatic espresso maker that makes you do just enough to make it seem like your making your own espresso. All for a great value
    2: you can tell they did research ir had this design by some barista cause it has a lot of features that a professional coffee maker would do. The attention to detail is great for a good price is why

    I just have seen this on IFA Berlin (tech event) and I tried an espresso. The espresso was not soo good, but for 500 Euro okay. The foam (tried my gf's cappucino) is a lot better than from a 500 Euro machine. Aaand you get a grinder as well!! Plus it looks really good! Shark/Ninja is really in the topwhen it comes to money/value ratio. I also looked at their robot vacuum cleaner, they were also interesting.

    The ease in which you made latte art shows your experience level. I don't enjoy milk drinks so I never developed the skill.
    I thought it was a nice review showing all the various drinks this machine can deliver.
    Your attitude is just right for a reviewer unlike James Hoffman's review where he just goes off on these little mini rants. Personally, I can't stand the guy! When he did the first review of the Decent Espresso machine years ago, he had left the machine at home that day and still did the review at the office minus the machine. This is when everybody was dying for a look-see at the new Decent Espresso machine. What Arrogance!
    I'm into my fifth year owning a Decent and just love it. Starting cold to finished drink in less than 5 minutes and then shut off. Very, very efficient!
    I believe Ninja is really on to something with the Luxe Cafe and hope they take the tech to the next level to give Decent some competition. Seeing what they delivered for $500 makes me wonder what a $2000 Ninja designed machine could offer. Once you get away from that double boiler design ethic, the door is open for better temperature control and perhaps even something close to the Decent experience although, frankly, I don't see how Decent Espresso could be beaten.

I have the Breville Oracle Touch which I bought mainly because I wanted a fast drink producer given 95% of the time I just want to smash a coffee into a mug or travel mug and get back to my desk or drive to work. The quad shot is probably intended for the iced americano folks like myself, i pull a double-lungo out of necessity, but this would be infinitely better

    I have had mine for 2 months now. I put a 20oz travel mug under it and I select 16 oz and for some reason it always overfills the mug. I wonder if there is a way to recalibrate for amount of water it flows when making coffee.

    I don't understand how this can make good cold brew in such a short time when I have to leave my Hario in the fridge for 8 hours! Great review; really interesting machine.

    Quad shot doesn’t necesssarily mean one person is going to drink the quad. It’s a time-saver if you’re making two doubles! You’re welcome! Great video. Thank you!

    I wish there was an all in one machine for coffee. But then again idk wtf im doing half the time😂. My grandma likes plain coffee and creamer. I like iced coffee, latte things along that line. My wife is a cappucino lover and other things as well but thats mainly it. If this does it all, maybe just maybe.

    I purchased one of these and love it. Starbucks has been the big loser. I’ve saved at least the cost of the machine cutting Starbucks visits since I bought it. Don’t wait rush and buy one. You won’t be disappointed.

    Thanks for the video I’ve purchased two automatic espresso machines in the past Delonghi and Phillips, sometimes being too automatic causes problems. I’ve had the Delonghi La Specalists Arte for two years I was and still am a beginner because after several attempts videos, etc I’ve never had great crème or non bitter coffee 😢ordered this last night.

      The whole point in having this machine is to have fresh ground coffee - the pre-ground coffee you buy from Starbucks or Costco are at least a few months old. There is simply no comparison between fresh ground coffee versus pre-ground coffee - the taste is night and day difference.

  • @PerryBindelglass

  • @Factsarefreedom
    @Factsarefreedom 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Does it air fry? My friend has one... it makes 'okay' coffee but the design is a bit annoying. It needs so much space either size.

  • @davidperry4013
    @davidperry4013 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Great beginner machine. Better than the Breville unless you want to accept a steeper learning curve for a more inherently reliable machine. But for more advanced users, a Gaggia classic and a dose control grinder or a manual hand crank grinder followed by trying out aftermarket portafilters and accessories. Or if you are willing to fork out 4 figures on a machine, get a rotary pump machine. So instead of the espresso shot not pulling because you grind it too fine, you will get a stronger-tasting espresso instead.

  • @emc3065
    @emc3065 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Sage/Breville better pay attention to this. Makes their machines look like absolute margin fleece machines in comparison.

    ... you left the grounds from the adjustment in the portafilter? That's not gonna help matters when it tries to figure out optimal grind settings. You'll have a mix of grinds that won't extract properly and the machine will send you on a wild goose chase after the right setting because you're not using a uniform grind setting 😅😅
