I just went to the Supreme Plus from a cheaper Keurig single punch coffee maker. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Using the same coffee and water amount it's a much deeper richer cup of coffee. I also use the personal buttons for different coffee. It's a great machine. I paid $160 for the Plus with 60 k cups of Green Mountain coffee.

It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
I received the K Supreme Plus as a Christmas gift and I really like it! Makes an excellent cup of coffee and, as you said, is one of the quietest Keurig machines I’ve ever owned. I really think the 5 prongs help to make a better, stronger cup of coffee. Thanks for your helpful reviews! 🙂✌🏻🙂
I just bought the regular K-Supreme from QVC, which came with 4 boxes of K-cups, and one of the new My K-cups. $100 for all! So far, I am very happy with it. I have a tiny kitchen, so the regular version's smaller size works better for me. This is a great review, and I'm glad I found your channel. :)

The supreme is my first Keurig ever never thought I’d want more then Starbucks, but after COVID-19 I rarely go for anything. This was the best investment I’ve made for coffee and I’m super cheap, but I have no problem ordering I only use what Keurig suggests descale every 3 only Keurig affiliate cups and Nestle bottle water and trust me you are good and I’m very particular about freshness and overall quality. You won’t regret buying a Keurig and getting your baked goods from a daily made local bakery add a balcony(if you have one) South Florida’s weather and you have instant weekend vacation. Safe sound and Covid-19 approved. Great video by the way!
My second K Supreme plus just committed suicide in the year since it’s purchase. To their credit, Keurig is replacing it under warranty again. Interestingly, they didn’t want it back this time. So I took a chance and followed the “Just A Dad” youtube on a thermostat reset which fixed my old one while I wait for the new one. Now I know that the “descale” process is what took out my first machine since it can trip the thermostat button on the heater. This is somewhat hard to get to, but easy to fix with a paperclip push once you are in. Thanks for all you do here!
I actually initially purchased the “Keurig Mini Plus” and was not impressed. The coffee was very hot and flavorful. However there isn’t much variety for $100 bucks. So I returned it back to the store after a few uses and exchanged it for the “Keurig Supreme Plus.” I love this machine. The ability to have options in temperatures and sizes. As well as the option to make Ice Coffee is a wonderful addition.
I got mines for half off when COVID-19 started and the only reason I didn’t get the plus it wasn’t apart of the deal, but for buying my first Keurig I’m good. We all have our thing coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and it’s all hot as heck coming out. Regardless of how hot you want it coming out unless your going to burn all the taste buds in your mouth it has to cool.
Great point on seating the Kcup first. I have been doing this for years to ensure the KCup is in place before moving the lid down and in place. This has prevented issues with grounds escaping for the Kcups.

I'm sure many will appreciate this tutorial. Not overly technical - easy for the types of consumers who go for these types of appliances. I personally don't much care for them, preferring espresso or french press, but, it's quick and the design does seem to be reasonably well thought out.

As for your question, I'm planning on making one on my favorite strong k-cups but that's hard to stay relevant for a long time as different brands come and go. I'll probably do a smaller video on that and then keep a page on my website updated for k-cups that are currently favorites of mine so that I can drop off one's that need to drop off from time to time.
This was super helpful, I ordered a Keurig and it did not work, so I called and they ended up sending me the plus version, which was really great because I wanted the stainless steel one but at the time it was out of stock!
I’ve had my Keurig VUE coffee machine for many years now and I’ve been using it with the K-cup adapter. It allows me to set the brew temperature to 197° and, from what I’ve seen, this is the ONLY Keurig brewer that has this high of a brew temperature. I’ve been brewing Newman’s Own Organic French Roast for years now (solely), and it tastes fantastic. However, I’ve been really interested in the new Keurig K-Supreme Plus for awhile now because I thought the multi stream technology would make for an even better tasting cup of coffee. Well, I decided to buy one the other night because Target had them on sale for only $149, and I’ve not had good results so far. On my VUE, I would set my temperature to 197° and brew a 6oz cup with the strong button and it came out perfectly every time. I’ve tried all of the possible settings for temperature and strength on the K-Supreme Plus and the coffee ALWAYS comes out tasting flat and lifeless. I tested the water temperature of both brewers with my quick read thermometer and the VUE is almost 10° hotter than the K-Supreme Plus. Knowing what I know about coffee, that difference in temperature can definitely make a difference in taste profile. Is there anything you’d recommend to help me brew a better cup with this K-Supreme Plus? If not, do you know of any single serve brewers that brew at around 200°? Thanks!

We've had it for three months now and has worked flawlessly. It makes the perfect cup of coffee to me.. just my opinion.
I just got with my love one the K-Supreme Plus. We tried it. And we already love it! It is for sure worth to put a little bit more money on the Plus. And we both thought of this our self when we looked at it and all. :)

I got mine from Costco too this is my first coffee maker. But I think I’m doing something wrong the pod keeps making a mess spilling beans all over. But I did notice that it’s not puncturing the pod correctly ! 😩
Dinorah Martinez I usually puncture the bottom hole first then close it & it’s been working good maybe ask Costco about it to see if you can return and get a new one. This is my first keurig too (:
Love the K Plus Supreme. Got from Costco a couple of years ago. First one didn’t work. Died in a couple of days. Hopefully Keurig fixed the glitch. Being Costco they gave me another one. Works great.
Recently bought my k- supreme plus at Costco for $99 was a Steal! Absolutely worth it. My dad has the old one needle system that would consistently get clogged and slow. Also your tips on care thank you I want to preserve the life of it. He went through 3 kurigs. I love they came out with a five point needle so much better!
I got the K=supreme plus at Costco for $99 this month. I found the coffee tasted like plastic for the first 5 cups of coffee. and there is no sound to alert that the cup is done dispensing. programming my preffered combination of buttons is really not necessary, seems frivolous. wow, i can push 3 buttons for a cup of coffee or 2 buttons. big deal. I like the base temp of coffee. I like the suggestions you made for seating the pod first before closing the lid, great idea. and brewing it stronger to get a better cup. i usually go 10oz per pod. haven't tried using my own coffee yet. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Excellent examination of the variation between these two (2) machines. Would be good to know if there is a big difference in absolute temperature between them on the highest setting, or whether we're simply cooling the water in three steps with the 'temp' feature. Lots of technical detail in your vids which many others lack. Subscribed!
I'm glad you brought this up; I'll be doing a temp check on a few of the machines as soon as possible. I've been using the supreme a lot lately instead of my Duo Plus or my Mini Plus and I'm starting to suspect the basic water temp is lower in my cup on the supreme, I'm curious if the supreme plus' highest temp setting is the same or higher than the other machines.
I’ve watched several tests and the in-cup temp is around 160° - 162° with not much variation with other settings but usually just in the 160°s. This was a deal breaker for me. Also the machine tends to shut down during the descaling process. It seems that there is a class action lawsuit alleging that this machine has this defect. Don’t know if it’s still in litigation but the overall consensus is that it does not last very long. I opted for another more expensive model.

The Iced Drink button actually lowers the temperature so that the ice remains in the cup. It is calibrated for iced drinks hence the smaller ounce serving. Other than that, everything else was spot on. Well done!
Thanks for the feedback Angela, I actually made an entire video on the over ice button a few weeks ago and provided a few extra details that even you missed. The temp comes out hotter at first and then a tad bit cooler for the second half of the brew plus the size is a bit slower - all in the effort to get good extraction but not melt off of the ice in your cup. Hope you check that video out sometime. :)
Hi, I was hoping you would demonstrate how you make coffee with your own coffee and the extra filter that comes with it. Do you have a video of that. I know it’s probably very easy but when you haven’t done it before I was just wanted to do it right.. I ordered this today from HSN for $139.99 which was steal and it had 60 k cups included and it’s a variety. 5 boxes of 12 per box. We just purchased the plus. It sprayed coffee on counter with the grinds on top of K cup and in cup. Keurig stated they have had complaints similar to ours. They are sending us another one.
I have not heard of that complaint yet, yours is the first for me but then again I don't work for Keurig either. I'm glad they are sending you a replacement without you having to argue for it.
Received a ew one from Keurig yesterday (in just 1 day), it took 3 Kcups to clear the prob with grinds, yet still splatters on counter and not as hot in temp as our previous Keurig even on highest temp setting. May return if doesn’t improve
I bought the Supreme Plus. I use the programmable buttons for coffee and tea. I descaled it for the first time. It was easy to do. I am wondering how loud was your Supreme Plus during the brewing process? I notice when it nears the end of brewing, there is sort of grinding sound. Hadn’t noticed it before.
Nice video. I was wondering about more info on the "over ice" feature. I am guessing this would not really apply to cups like the iced teas. I think you just brew for size there. Seems it is more for an iced coffee where you use a larger glass and want it strong and then you may add a bunch of milk or something. One tip I found on my first cup in the Supreme Plus. It brewed and sent grounds everywhere because it ripped the foil on the cup wide open from side to side. After some investigation I figured out that the black rubber gaskets/seals on each needle needed to be pushed all the way up (toward to top of the machine where the needles mount) and away from the ends of the needles. The black rubber seals pushed down on the top foil too hard and tore it!
Thanks for the tip, I haven't experienced this. I'm wondering though if you put your k-cup in the basket and push it down puncturing the lower portion be hand before you close the lid? I call this manually puncturing the lower needle and I do it to take pressure off the lever, release pressure from inside the k-cup if any exists, and to set the k-cup in the basket square and level before puncturing the foil. Possibly your problem suggests a fourth reason to preset the k-cup before closing the top. Maybe this will be the topic for a new video in the next few weeks.
@@TopOffMyCoffee Yes I insert and push the cup into place in the bottom first. I did comment on this on another video as a tip. On my Supreme Plus I could see that the black rubber "gasket" for the needles was just barely on the needles. A test showed that the rubber seals were pushing on the foil and ripped it before the top part even fully closed. Once I pushed this rubber seal back up on the needles the problem has been rectified. I have a picture I can send but can't attach here.

I just bought a new Keurig K-Supreme Plus, and I don't really need water filter for my coffee, because I use spring water, so my question is do I need to install that water filter thing in the middle of my water tank, can I use water tank without installing middle thing for water filter? Godo question, you do not need to use it if you choose to leave it off. If you don't use it then you won't ever have to buy replacement charcoal filters. I'd still advise you to wash the reservoir out from time to time though as floaters like dust or hairs and other debris always finds it's way in their eventually.
Hello, I've been enjoying your TH-cam videos. Thank you. I usually use a Hario Pour Over System with grinding my own beans. With the 'Bold' settings available on the newer Keurig, might I grind to a different coarseness (larger) so as not to extract bitterness. I'm not impressed with the taste of a good quality K-Cup. As you know, once coffee is ground, it loses a large percentage of its potential. I've never looked inside a regular K-Cup, but I expect the grind is very small in order to extract quickly. And it would seem like the 5 hole models are much better at evenly extraction. I've purchased a small second home in Mexico and will head to Mexico Costco today for many things needed in this new home, including a Keurig. Of course, I will buy high quality Mexico whole bean coffee and grind each morning using a separate coffee container. Guests when visiting me will certainly like the ease of use of a regular K-Cup and probably won't use the separate coffee container in the Keurig.
I just got the supreme plus directly from keurig. The first cup of coffee tasted like plastic. Has any of your machines had that problem? I ran vinegar and water through it, but it didn’t work. So then I tried some baking soda and water and that didn’t work. I called keurig and they are sending me a new machine!! Fingers crossed.
I bought the k supreme at Kohl’s for $86 net at Kohl’s. It was on sale and got a one day 25% off coupon for returning an Amazon purchase there. For me, the supreme makes excellent coffee and the extra features on the plus aren’t worth it. All these machines require some experimentation to find the pods you like best. I don’t think more adjustments will help much in getting around that.
I went with kuerig supreme cause i wanted movable tank to rear plus is fixed on left . I never use 4 oz button . Also i got it in that grey color thats new. K supreme plus was 50.oo more . K supreme was 120.oo with tax plus just didnt fit my wants , i really wanted a slim but bigger water tank.
Temperature tests of the plus's three setting option have shown very disappointing results as the temperatures in all three settings hover around 160 F. No big (or noticable) difference between low and high settings.
I just bought the Supreme Plus, I got 20% off on Bed Bath and Beyond, and paid with Afterpay to make monthly payments of $40 a month. The total amount with discount was $151, so much better that the actual amount $190.
Does the water reservoir have a light when brewing it’s easier to see the water level when there’s a light in the water reservoir many coffee makers have removed it to save money but I kind of like it thank you

I have a video about buying premium k-cups in bulk but I guess I don't have a big list anywhere of the one's I like a lot. I will have to get something setup like that before long. Right now my favorites include REVV, Boyds, Deathwish, and Bustelo, I've tried a lot that I like but those I keep going back to over and over again.
On my older keurigs it would always lose stream power like the little port was getting clogged or something. I went through 3 of them over the years I hope this new one solves those issues I was having.
Informative but he didn’t talk about the fact that you can’t use the Biodegradable pods that aren’t incased in plastic the coffee is in a mesh paper material. I used in my new k supreme plus and disaster!

This was super helpful, I ordered a Keurig and it did not work, so I called and they ended up sending me the plus version, which was really great because I wanted the stainless steel one but at the time it was out of stock!
I’ve had my Keurig VUE coffee machine for many years now and I’ve been using it with the K-cup adapter. It allows me to set the brew temperature to 197° and, from what I’ve seen, this is the ONLY Keurig brewer that has this high of a brew temperature. I’ve been brewing Newman’s Own Organic French Roast for years now (solely), and it tastes fantastic. However, I’ve been really interested in the new Keurig K-Supreme Plus for awhile now because I thought the multi stream technology would make for an even better tasting cup of coffee. Well, I decided to buy one the other night because Target had them on sale for only $149, and I’ve not had good results so far. On my VUE, I would set my temperature to 197° and brew a 6oz cup with the strong button and it came out perfectly every time. I’ve tried all of the possible settings for temperature and strength on the K-Supreme Plus and the coffee ALWAYS comes out tasting flat and lifeless. I tested the water temperature of both brewers with my quick read thermometer and the VUE is almost 10° hotter than the K-Supreme Plus. Knowing what I know about coffee, that difference in temperature can definitely make a difference in taste profile. Is there anything you’d recommend to help me brew a better cup with this K-Supreme Plus? If not, do you know of any single serve brewers that brew at around 200°? Thanks!

Love your video on this. You didn't hold back on doing a great review and letting us know the differences on these two Keurig coffee makers. My household has the Keurig K-Supreme and we love it. We've had it for three months now and has worked flawlessly. It makes the perfect cup of coffee to me.. just my opinion.
I just got with my love one the K-Supreme Plus. We tried it. And we already love it! It is for sure worth to put a little bit more money on the Plus. And we both thought of this our self when we looked at it and all. :)

We got the keurig supreme plus at Costco for $100 and I love it so far def worth it lol came with a variety of pods and a reusable coffee filter

I got mine from Costco too this is my first coffee maker. But I think I’m doing something wrong the pod keeps making a mess spilling beans all over. But I did notice that it’s not puncturing the pod correctly ! 😩
Dinorah Martinez I usually puncture the bottom hole first then close it & it’s been working good maybe ask Costco about it to see if you can return and get a new one. This is my first keurig too (:

Regarding temperature. Don't forget that refrigerated milk or cream cools the coffee.
Love the K Plus Supreme. Got from Costco a couple of years ago. First one didn’t work. Died in a couple of days. Hopefully Keurig fixed the glitch. Being Costco they gave me another one. Works great.

Recently bought my k- supreme plus at Costco for $99 was a Steal! Absolutely worth it. My dad has the old one needle system that would consistently get clogged and slow. Also your tips on care thank you I want to preserve the life of it. He went through 3 kurigs. I love they came out with a five point needle so much better!
We have a Keurig now a couple years old,yesterday we bought the supreme from QVC.We'll see how it does.

I got the K=supreme plus at Costco for $99 this month. I found the coffee tasted like plastic for the first 5 cups of coffee. and there is no sound to alert that the cup is done dispensing. programming my preffered combination of buttons is really not necessary, seems frivolous. wow, i can push 3 buttons for a cup of coffee or 2 buttons. big deal. I like the base temp of coffee. I like the suggestions you made for seating the pod first before closing the lid, great idea. and brewing it stronger to get a better cup. i usually go 10oz per pod. haven't tried using my own coffee yet. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Excellent examination of the variation between these two (2) machines. Would be good to know if there is a big difference in absolute temperature between them on the highest setting, or whether we're simply cooling the water in three steps with the 'temp' feature. Lots of technical detail in your vids which many others lack. Subscribed!
I'm glad you brought this up; I'll be doing a temp check on a few of the machines as soon as possible. I've been using the supreme a lot lately instead of my Duo Plus or my Mini Plus and I'm starting to suspect the basic water temp is lower in my cup on the supreme, I'm curious if the supreme plus' highest temp setting is the same or higher than the other machines.
I’ve watched several tests and the in-cup temp is around 160° - 162° with not much variation with other settings but usually just in the 160°s. This was a deal breaker for me. Also the machine tends to shut down during the descaling process. It seems that there is a class action lawsuit alleging that this machine has this defect. Don’t know if it’s still in litigation but the overall consensus is that it does not last very long. I opted for another more expensive model.

The Iced Drink button actually lowers the temperature so that the ice remains in the cup. It is calibrated for iced drinks hence the smaller ounce serving. Other than that, everything else was spot on. Well done!
Thanks for the feedback Angela, I actually made an entire video on the over ice button a few weeks ago and provided a few extra details that even you missed. The temp comes out hotter at first and then a tad bit cooler for the second half of the brew plus the size is a bit slower - all in the effort to get good extraction but not melt off of the ice in your cup. Hope you check that video out sometime. :)

Hi, I was hoping you would demonstrate how you make coffee with your own coffee and the extra filter that comes with it. Do you have a video of that. I know it’s probably very easy but when you haven’t done it before I was just wanted to do it right.. I ordered this today from HSN for $139.99 which was steal and it had 60 k cups included and it’s a variety. 5 boxes of 12 per box. I just ordered this same machine through Air Miles.
We just purchased the plus. It sprayed coffee on counter with the grinds on top of K cup and in cup. Keurig stated they have had complaints similar to ours. They are sending us another one.
Just push the K cup pod down with your hand until the bottom punctures and then close the lid and you'll be fine.
I have not heard of that complaint yet, yours is the first for me but then again I don't work for Keurig either. I'm glad they are sending you a replacement without you having to argue for it.
Received a ew one from Keurig yesterday (in just 1 day), it took 3 Kcups to clear the prob with grinds, yet still splatters on counter and not as hot in temp as our previous Keurig even on highest temp setting. May return if doesn’t improve

I bought the Supreme Plus. I use the programmable buttons for coffee and tea. I descaled it for the first time. It was easy to do. I am wondering how loud was your Supreme Plus during the brewing process? I notice when it nears the end of brewing, there is sort of grinding sound. Hadn’t noticed it before.
Nice video. I was wondering about more info on the "over ice" feature. I am guessing this would not really apply to cups like the iced teas. I think you just brew for size there. Seems it is more for an iced coffee where you use a larger glass and want it strong and then you may add a bunch of milk or something.
One tip I found on my first cup in the Supreme Plus. It brewed and sent grounds everywhere because it ripped the foil on the cup wide open from side to side. After some investigation I figured out that the black rubber gaskets/seals on each needle needed to be pushed all the way up (toward to top of the machine where the needles mount) and away from the ends of the needles. The black rubber seals pushed down on the top foil too hard and tore it!
Thanks for the tip, I haven't experienced this. I'm wondering though if you put your k-cup in the basket and push it down puncturing the lower portion be hand before you close the lid? I call this manually puncturing the lower needle and I do it to take pressure off the lever, release pressure from inside the k-cup if any exists, and to set the k-cup in the basket square and level before puncturing the foil. Possibly your problem suggests a fourth reason to preset the k-cup before closing the top. Maybe this will be the topic for a new video in the next few weeks.

On my Supreme Plus I could see that the black rubber "gasket" for the needles was just barely on the needles. A test showed that the rubber seals were pushing on the foil and ripped it before the top part even fully closed. Once I pushed this rubber seal back up on the needles the problem has been rectified. I have a picture I can send but can't attach here.
I have a question about the charcoal filter. I had a very old Kuerig I’m not familiar with the how you put in the filter with the new supreme plus. I would love some feedback, if you can.

I just bought a new Keurig K-Supreme Plus, and I don't really need water filter for my coffee, because I use spring water, so my question is do I need to install that water filter thing in the middle of my water tank, can I use water tank without installing middle thing for water filter? Godo question, you do not need to use it if you choose to leave it off. If you don't use it then you won't ever have to buy replacement charcoal filters. I'd still advise you to wash the reservoir out from time to time though as floaters like dust or hairs and other debris always finds it's way in their eventually.
Hello, I've been enjoying your TH-cam videos. Thank you. I usually use a Hario Pour Over System with grinding my own beans. With the 'Bold' settings available on the newer Keurig, might I grind to a different coarseness (larger) so as not to extract bitterness. I'm not impressed with the taste of a good quality K-Cup. As you know, once coffee is ground, it loses a large percentage of its potential. I've never looked inside a regular K-Cup, but I expect the grind is very small in order to extract quickly. And it would seem like the 5 hole models are much better at evenly extraction. I've purchased a small second home in Mexico and will head to Mexico Costco today for many things needed in this new home, including a Keurig. Of course, I will buy high quality Mexico whole bean coffee and grind each morning using a separate coffee container. Guests when visiting me will certainly like the ease of use of a regular K-Cup and probably won't use the separate coffee container in the Keurig.
I just got the supreme plus directly from keurig. The first cup of coffee tasted like plastic. Has any of your machines had that problem? I ran vinegar and water through it, but it didn’t work. So then I tried some baking soda and water and that didn’t work. I called keurig and they are sending me a new machine!! Fingers crossed.
I bought the k supreme at Kohl’s for $86 net at Kohl’s. It was on sale and got a one day 25% off coupon for returning an Amazon purchase there.
For me, the supreme makes excellent coffee and the extra features on the plus aren’t worth it. All these machines require some experimentation to find the pods you like best. I don’t think more adjustments will help much in getting around that.

I went with kuerig supreme cause i wanted movable tank to rear plus is fixed on left . I never use 4 oz button . Also i got it in that grey color thats new. K supreme plus was 50.oo more . K supreme was 120.oo with tax plus just didnt fit my wants , i really wanted a slim but bigger water tank.
Temperature tests of the plus's three setting option have shown very disappointing results as the temperatures in all three settings hover around 160 F. No big (or noticable) difference between low and high settings.

Is it possible to brew tea with your own tea leaves in the Keurig Supreme Plus?
I used a Brita pitcher to fill my machine, so no charcoal displacement for me + the machine refills its internal water chamber that much faster.
I just bought the Supreme Plus, I got 20% off on Bed Bath and Beyond, and paid with Afterpay to make monthly payments of $40 a month. The total amount with discount was $151, so much better that the actual amount $190.

Does the water reservoir have a light when brewing it’s easier to see the water level when there’s a light in the water reservoir many coffee makers have removed it to save money but I kind of like it thank you

I have a video about buying premium k-cups in bulk but I guess I don't have a big list anywhere of the one's I like a lot. I will have to get something setup like that before long. Right now my favorites include REVV, Boyds, Deathwish, and Bustelo, I've tried a lot that I like but those I keep going back to over and over again.
I really want the plus but the awkward placement of the reservoir makes my ocd crazy.
Does the K-Supreme (and the K-Mini Plus) retain water after brewing and emptying the reservoir?
On my older keurigs it would always lose stream power like the little port was getting clogged or something. I went through 3 of them over the years I hope this new one solves those issues I was having.

Informative but he didn’t talk about the fact that you can’t use the Biodegradable pods that aren’t incased in plastic the coffee is in a mesh paper material. I used in my new k supreme plus and disaster!
