The finish looks premium and comes in Gold, slate and silver. The reservoir is removable and holds 75 ounces. 5 cup sizes, they’re not numbered but there are pictures for 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 ounces. It’s nice to have the 4 ounce option for those who want a really strong cup of coffee. Auto on/off feature, you can set the time you want the unit to brew. Auto off, set time for the unit to turn off after you finish brewing.

As someone who does a lot of research before committing to a purchase, I appreciate how thorough this review was.
Clear and to the point. I highly recommend this coffee maker to college students. It's nice not having to constantly refill the water each use and I didn't realize I convenient k cups were either. I love ground coffee but I was getting tired of spilling it when I was in a rush and my relatives kept using too much
My husband just bought this for my birthday and I love it! The iced coffee function is what sold me on this model, plus the fact that it comes with a water filter!

Im interested in this model for the iced option as well, but I can't figure out what the point of it is if it still comes out hot? Even over ice I feel like its just going to melt the ice since it still comes out hot. What are your thoughts/experience with it?
@@leila990 Yeah, now that I've had it for awhile now, there really IS no point (and I rarely it anyway) LOL BUT the Hot Water setting makes up for that!

Ditto, very unhappy with the “instructions”, I went to the internet to learn how to use and clean the machine. Still can’t find a reusable cup to use with this machine, or if I can use the ones I have from my 2.0.
Me too! Especially the auto turn on programming - only shows pm time

Awesome review. I just bought this Keurig coffee maker and was looking for a review of it. Probably should have looked before but I'm glad I bought it now. Got it for my mom as a gift and this review made it worth the price of the coffee machine. That and the crazy amount of coffee that you can buy for it, unlike my old Senseo coffee maker, which I had to look for coffee pods.
I have the same machine. I was almost sold on a used 2.0, but after realizing that you can only use Keurig branded K-cups, I bought the newer version, which is this. It's very nice.
Keurig should give you premium. You did his job. Thank you very much.
This is THE best Keurig ever. Just got mine last night. I wanted the gold color, but the silver matched the kitchen. Thanks for the video, I didn't even look at the directions because you walked me through set up.

Any videos on descaling this unit?
Very thorough review. Thank you. Just one thing I would do differently is when the resuable filter is used when you supply your own grinds, is that the filter mesh should be cleaned pretty quickly after you brew. I waited sometimes an hour to clean the mesh and eventually, the mesh started getting clogged and really retarded the brewing process and even worse the cup filled up only half way. I bought a brand new mesh filter through the factory and works like new again. Thanks again.

This was an excellent review and I love how specific you were about each detail and while I have owned over 10 Keith machines, I now know that somethings I may have been doing incorrectly the whole time in the cleaning.

Omg I didn't know I had to put the pod in after I turned it on. The lights never started blinking for me and I didn't know why! A quick reopening and closing and it works!!!! Thank you!

I just came back from Costco and wanted to see this new Keurig K-Elite model working. I did notice that they're people in the store returning it though and wondered why. I have an older model that works great, but wanted an updated one. I liked your review as it seems that this model has everything you would need for a single cup brewer. Thanks!! Great job!!
I'm buying this model on Friday. I've had the 2 different models and have been wanting to upgrade.
I just got mine delivered today. The K- Elite Elements. COLOR: WROUGHT IRON. I had the 2.0 but I like this for the 12 ounce cup size. The 2.0 largest was 10 ounces. This one is fingerprint proof. Because the handle and tray cover are basically black with this unit. I do miss the touchscreen . This unit is so much quieter than the 2.0. So far so good. Thanks for your review.

Just bought this one today for my daughter-in-law. She got us a Mini Plus for Christmas and last week her Keurig got scaled up solid, so this one with a light to tell you when to descale should be a plus. Oh yeah, I also got her a bottle of descaling solution.
I'm glad to see keurig redesigned the refillable pod. the needle broke in ours not long after we bought it. I'm sticking with my old faithful Bunn. Good info.😎✔

Thanks for this thorough review as my son bought me the same Keurig Elite and the reusable filter. One thing you didn't mention when using the reusable filter, you have to remove the base of the filter to fit into the machine. My son & I couldn't figure out why the reusable filter wouldn't fit. So I checked out youtube, found your review of the exact same items I have, but noticed after you added your coffee grounds, then pointed to the white dot matching the locked part, that bottom section that stuck out, was removed. It took me several attempts to twist and get it off but I did. It's a shame Keurig didn't show this in the instructions we received. But thanks to you and me seeing that you had removed it, I did the same and voila, I'm able to make my own coffee in the reusable filter.

Understandable and excellent review of each and every feature. I bought this machine and the included instructions were scant. Now I know exactly what to do.
Plus, I was concerned that the large mug selection was not brewing enough coffee to fill my "large mug". Well, now I know it is 12 oz. and I will not have to return the machine like I was going to do.

I have the classic Keurig which is 3 yr old, it still works fine, but I would like to have the stronger setup, more choices of cup sizes and larger 75oz reservoir, I keep filling mine (48oz). this K-Elite model fits the bill, thanks for a great demo, this is complete.
Same here I have been using my Classic for a few years, no issue, but I would like a larger water reservoir, more choices of cup sizes and the STRONG setting. I just ordered one from QVC, it comes with 78 K-Cups.
Your review was very pleasant and informative. I used to use a Bunn MyCafe one cup coffee maker. But..once Keurig hit the market having trouble trying to find the pods to use. After watching your review I think I'm going to get the Keurig now.

Does anyone remember when you didn't need the manual or a video for a coffee pot? You filled the pot pressed the button and sweet joe filled a pot sometimes in the morning I don't know my arms from my elbows simplicity is key on those mornings ...
my 2.0 just took a crap after 4 years of use, ordered my k-elite today brand new for $78. Two things I don’t like it’s not keeping the water heated continuously and no more touch screen...it’s like Keurig went backwards than forwards!

I just returned mine. The reusable filter would unlock during brewing. However, I’ll buy another one to try again because I like the features. I prefer the old locking system on the reusable filter basket.

I followed your instructions for regular ground coffee but the coffee maker cuts off and I just bought it because my classic did the same thing.

Thanks, Chris! With the strong button, your coffee will taste stronger because it takes longer to brew than with the regular setting. 😀

You want the greatest tasting coffee. Use filter water & also use filters that come with your Keurig. It might seem redundant to use both. I guarantee you that you will get the full taste of the coffee you brew & then some.

I absolutely cannot get the K cup (the one where you can put your own grounds in) to go into the slot. When you showed it.....it just slipped in. I am certain I am going to break something if I force this thing! Please help.

Debra Sidor Tanner Hi there, I just bought the same keurig from Costco and I wanted to use the self kcup too and mine wouldn’t fit so I called customer service. You have to remove the adopter at the bottom of the pod. There is a white sticker you need to peel off and slide off the bottom. Then the reusable kcup fits perfectly. Hope this help!! 😃
Question when I hit the ice button no choice on amount of coffee and mine does not come out cold I’ve actually never used the iced option so decided to try any idea 💡 thanks
You can't choose a cup size with an iced coffee option, it has just that one cup size. This option doesn't really brew cold coffee, it still makes hot coffee, it just makes concentrated brew so it tastes good over ice.

Does this have a blue lit water reservoir? I saw another K-Elite video with the water tank that is lit up. Was wondering if its a different year model or if your video just didnt include it.

I got this one and really miss my k250 that stopped working after 5 years.. it’s fine and all but I find most of the buttons unnecessary and I have to explain to everyone who uses it what button to press. It also hums so loudly maybe because it’s placed on a cabinet and not a counter top. Also the instructions say to unplug when not in use. How crazy when the point of getting this one is so that it turns on by itself in. The morning

Great demo and review! Regarding the temperature I see you measured it at 180 degrees but were the settings at 180? You said the maximum temperature setting is 192 degrees, could you test a 10oz cup of coffee again at the maximum setting and see if you get 192 degrees? Again great video!
