- Comparison Keurig K Supreme compared to newer K Supreme PLUS. Side by Side I brew a cup of coffee. I show you where they are the same and where they are different. Why I love the K Supreme Plus so much. Both are great machines. I brew an Iced Coffee side by side and show you how they do. I show the plus has a display panel and temperature control for brewing. The K Supreme has a water reservoir that you can move to the side or back the plus water reservoir is bigger and you can not move it. I love the carrying handle on both machines. They both have Multi Stream technology.
the Plus has 3 buttons you can program to remember your coffee brewing settings. The supreme has 3 different coffee strength settings. The plus has more metal on it and looks so much better.

Purchased at Costco in store yesterday (Dec 1, 2021). $99 and change after $35 in store reduction. Included water filter housing and one filter pod, and a box of coffee pods. Of course included the My-Coffee attachment. Have done runs with coffee pods and My-Coffee attachment including over ice. Did not mix any components from previous Keurig models. Excellent result did not experience any negative issues.

You explain the procedures so they are easy to follow. I just purchased the
K Supreme Plus at Costco for $99.99; their regular price listed at $135.00. It came with all the extras except there was just one filter in the box. I just washed everything; soaked the filter, rinsed, etc. and did a clean brew and will have my first cup of coffee tomorrow.

I had the K-Supreme a few years ago, but I now have the K-Supreme Plus and I like it better because it looks nicer and feels more solid and well built.

Never knew they had these machines. I have the Keurig K-Elite. I do like the smaller size of the supreme machines, it’s tempting to upgrade.

I’ve been debating about purchasing a Keurig machine for the last 5 years or so and have recently got K-express from Walmart at a good price. Turns out I really love the machine and already thinking about taking advantage of Black Friday deals to upgrade to either K-Supreme or K-Supreme Plus. I find your video easy to understand with great visual, to the point and don’t waste time for unnecessary stuff. Your comparison is very helpful, that being said I still can’t decide yet. What I really would like is the K-Supreme Plus after watching your review, but there’s a really good deal on K-Supreme (difference of $70) so I’m really torn. What do you think I should do?
I have the K Supreme plus and really like how the coffee tastes. However, my second one just failed. Mine are only lasting about a year and a half. Keurig replaced my first one that failed. They will not replace the replacement one. I only make one cup a day. I think the failure rate in my experience is unexcusable.

My new k supreme in gray color does. Not splash water on counter like ppl say with short cup. Plus coffee still boiling hot ,thats a myth too.

Great review and thanks for taking the time to do these! I found your page as my original Keurig from years ago gave out and decided it was time for a new and upgraded model. I really like the style and functionality of the K-Supreme, but reading some reviews on Amazon I'm seeing that some of these fail after months of use. Was curious what your experience is like using these after awhile. How long have you been using one and has it held up for you?
The K supreme's do have some history of failing. the good thing they have a thermostat that needs reset and you can open it up and reset it, but that can be kind of tricky. The K elite is a solid machine but I do like how the K supreme taste with the 5 needles and being able to change it to a strong brew and change the temp to hotter setting. the k supreme smart is the best of the Supreme models. I have not had an issue with any of my K supremes and I have all 3. Keurig is very good at replacing them if they fail within the first year. I have had my surpremes for over 3 years now.

thank you, I bought the supreme gray and I was thinking about change it for the plus, but I think that for me it does not make a difference because the coffee that I use is super strong >bustelo or Alto grande< and I think it would not make any difference .. just wanted to know if the water that drips before the coffee was normal, I already saw that if ... need to verify if it is normal to ask me for water when there is still about 13 ounces approx... thanks for the video
Great Questions. The water drip I get sometimes but not very often. not sure if it is normal. Yeah I have not measured how much water is in the tank when the light is on but I know it seems like a lot. I guess they want to prevent you from doing the large size of beverage. I have the supreme plus. The stream does not come out as one it splits to two and splashes coffee all over my counter. It is brand new. Any idea of what could be the issue?
Sounds like the bottom needle basket area is clogged or dirty. I would follow my video and remove the bottom needle basket and clean it. th-cam.com/video/CACN1jCO94I/w-d-xo.html

Hi, Thanks for your helpful info. Do you have any info you can direct me to about using a cup / grounds twice . ie If I want to fill a 16 ounce travel mug, can I run an 8 ounce cycle twice on the same KCup or would it be too weak and used up after the first run ? Thanks - Herb in NC
I get this a lot. Some people Brew there k cups twice. I have found that K cups are really only designed to be brewed once. they have 2 tablespoons of coffee in them and when you run more than 8 or 10 oz of hot water through them then it gets really watered down. I don't recommend brewing your k cups twice. You might look into a small coffee maker that can brew your own coffee grounds into a travel mug. You need something that can hold more than 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds. Just because a machine has a 12 or 14 oz button does not mean it will hold that much coffee. Is there a way on the Supreme Plus tp get just hot water for tea for example?
yes, just don't put a k cup in and leave that area empty. you might want to do a fresh water rinse if you did a coffee k cup or other flavor to rinse the lower needle basket area. after that then just press the oz button you want 6,8,10,12 and it will run hot water through the needles and come out at the bottom, it works really good. The temp coming out is around 194 degree.

No it will work just fine without the water filter.

What does the machine do differently in the over ice setting?
It lowers the brew temp as the brew goes on. and it only brews 6oz because the ice will melt and dilute the coffee.

Yes you can! just make sure when You use it in a single needle machine to put the red plunger back in.
Hi Just a Dad, I watch your video on all the Keurigs and I didn't see the model B70 Platinum that I have. I also watched all K supremes videos; in those you mentioned the temperatures but not the exact temperatures. With B70, the max temp that could change to is 192 and coffee didn't stay, I had to microwave my coffee every time. Also, at that time I knew that the one needle wasn't sufficient because I opened the kcup and saw that half the coffee wasn't saturated. Then machine stop turning on. After 5 years on my counter, I cleaned it and turns on again. I'm keeping it just for hot water. I want to purchase the k supreme but I would like to know hot my coffee will be. Does the my k-cup comes with the model? Thanks.

Im stuck between this or the stainless steel carafe one ? The MultiStream Technology im wondering if its better than reg one? I have the Elie modle its 2yo i was wanting one with carafe but ill miss the iced brew option im stuck
Yeah that is a tough question. I like the K Duo plus with stainless steel carafe. It makes a great pot of coffee. I am going to be doing some videos on making over ice coffee with the stainless steel carafe K -duo. What is nice about the KDuo is that it does not have a warming plate for the coffee. you can make a strong pot of coffee use the 6 cup button but put about 10 tablespoons of coffee grounds in the coffee filter and fill the pot about 1/2 full of ice and brew your coffee into the stainless steel pot with ice. It will melt the ice and that will bring the coffee up the right strength. pour this over ice and you have a great over ice coffee.
@@JustADad I went yesterday and got the K Supreme plus i lived without for years with keurigs without a carafe so i dont think I need it. I have the Elite and i still wanted the iced feature. Only thing ill miss is prob the elite stays on this one is on auto i dont think you can shut auto off? Does it still keep water hot? Dont know if its same temp elite gets to 192 i think i have it set for. But the K supreme plus makes better coffee with the 5 needles. 😋

I see a lot of bad reviews of breakers flipping on people im guessing they have too much plugged into one breaker… I know i cant have my toaster and it going at same time but i knew that before not keurigs fault.! People are complaining of coffee not flowing or flowing over and it shuts off im guessing its plugged! I had mine what 3 days and i did a water run tonight 3 4oz cups till i got the grounds out of needles! That may be a prob! So ill make sure to do this every few days not wait a month.. and do a cleaning vinegar cleaning once a month.
