- So the Jimny 5-Door, very necessary if you ask me, I think it makes the Jimny platform more attractive with the added practicality. Do comment any of your thoughts about the car.

Hey guys, the Jimny actually has a ladder frame chassis, and not portal axels, just a quick correction.
Thanks for the review Emba, much appreciated and best wishes into the future

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Jimny has what is known as solid or live axles, not portal axles, portals would have had an additional reduction gearbox out at the ends near the wheels, and it would need to have them front & rear, not just the rear.

How was the fuel consumption?
Honestly I didn’t check the reading but it’s claimed around 6L/100km
10 to 14 km per litre
Here in India we are getting a mileage of 17.5 on highways at speed of 80 to 100 kmph.
Does it feel underpowered?
Depends. The older generation was 1.3. This one is better. If you understand that this car is slow, than you'll be fine and will enjoy it as it is.
Not really, it’s just fine
How's the reliability compared to Toyota?
10/10. Everything is simple and well made.
It’s not a complicated car in anyway especially the manual, so there shouldn’t be any reliability issues
Easy to maintain .. Everything will be perfect if you travel under 50 kmph.. The body can not handle impact at higher speed..
It's a body on frame vehicle....hence less maintainance and more reliable....
You guys don’t Mahindra that there I guess?
We do
