Hello, I saw on one channel a measurement of the optical power of the Neje A40640 40w (which Neje used to call 80 w), and this module produced 8.6 watts of optical power - less than the Atomstask M 50 (with a smaller focus point). Have you measured optical power?
Although I don't fully understand English, I notice that at 9:45, the stainless steel engraving was better on the Sculpfun S9; Am I right? And the Sculpfun S10 must be even better!
the difference is striking, the power of the neje is very large but the laser focus seems out of control, burns everything on the side, like it's not clean enough when cutting, I have a 30watt neje and it's not as powerful like video above, so I decided to buy a sculpfun s9 for my chrome stainless steel engraving needs I'm a little disappointed after watching this video, I hope my sculpfun s9 doesn't disappoint ,btw good video i like it
Jt can you please suggest me a laser module that produces the engravings of the s9 and has 10w optical power?! because I purchased the s10 and the engravings are not as dark as the s9 and they are fading off.. thank you!
@@JTMakesIt according to Neje official website the N40630 is 30w with 7.5w optical power, and the A40640 is 40W with 12w optical power or 11w continuous output
Hello I have the Neje master 2s Plus N40630 30w. I was told when I purchased it that it would do all that it showed on the website that I got it from. But I cannot get it to even make a dent on the samples, the black anodised tag. I have purchased some different tags. But still nothing. There isn't many instructions with the machine to say what speed etc to use. I am using the Neje software V5.6.4. The burning time can go from 0ms to 100ms. It was set at 10ms when I log in. Do you have any hints. I have some Matt gold stainless steel name badges. It does nothing on these. Do I have to spray paint them with the black paint. I need them to be gold afterwards. Thank you.
You should check that the laser is focused properly and the dot is the smallest. I haven't used the Neje software. Only Lightburn. For anodized you should use speed 400mm/min and full power. I'm not sure what is the burning time prameter. I don't have that in my software.
@@JTMakesIt Hello I did a test on the focus. I also tried one idea I saw on a video, rubbing mustard on the metal and engraving multiple times. It actually works so I will try it again with more passes. Thankyou
@@gamingdz1783 None of diode lasers can cut transparent acrylic. It is physically impossible. You can only engrave it if you paint it black temporarily.

No, sorry I don't have the optical power measurement instrument. They are expensive!

Sculpfun has smaller focus beam and can make more precise engravings, but the Neje has more power.
@@JTMakesIt Thanks!

Would like to see the neje e40 and e80 modules tested. :-)

You should try going slower and with less (or more) power for darker engravings. I had great results with the S30 pro max
Happy new year JT, nice video again. Wich laser do you prefer, this Neje or the Sculpfun S9? Greetings
It is up to your personal preference. I prefer narrower focus point and more stable mechanics, so its the S9. But Neje isn't bad either.
Where can I get that test file for the ATOMSTACK a5 pro
I use neje master 2s plus
software laser grbl 5.4.0
Windows 7
The device stops working in the middle of a file.
What could be the reason?
Did you try with a different computer?
I have the "30w" neje (7.5w is the actual laser output) do you know what the actual output power is of this "40w" model?
Somewhere is advertized as 15w, somewhere as 10w. I believe its 10w, and the 30w is actually 5w.

what is your recommendation between sculpfun s9 n neje 3?
Haven't tried Neje 3, but personally I don't like the bad air management of thr A40640 laser module. It leaves a lot of smoke stains
can this engrave in metal ou silver ? thanks
It can engrave stainless steel and anodized aluminium. I haven't tried silver
Great review!
How do you think, will it cut 15mm plywood with air assist?
Thanks! I think it could be done with good air assist.

Good day. What software did you used?
Lightburn
@@JTMakesIt thank you so much :)
Does it make 3D night lamps ?
You can cut it from wood
It can't cut transparent acrylic?

What about laser k40
@@gamingdz1783 I don't like it. It has very poor build quality and very small working area.
