Hi, received by box yesterday. I have opened the box. Yesterday i couldn't access the internet to download my software. also have Benson Pace Rotary Jig along with my 3500mw Master 2. Hope to get somewhere today if I can get my internet to working. This looks like a lot of fun.

Сначала нанести почистить от масел и жиров, нанести органический защитный слой (например растворенную в спирте канифоль для пайки в перемешку с краской от чёрного спиртового маркера) потом выжечь лазером протравливаемые места, после чего капнуть на поверхность хлорное железо или нечто такое, или водно-солевой расствор а потом электролизом немного протравить. Кстати таким образом в принципе можно и произвести меднение поверхности, или меднение сделать после протравки, чтоб медь лучше проникла в получившуюся протравленную поверхность.

Great video thanks. However find support for this Laser really poor so finding this was great but doesn't solve my problem. Our biggest issue is bringing in artwork saved in dxf format and the Neje software is unable to open the file or brings in only parts of the file. I prepare my drawings in Illustrator, save as dxf to bring into Neje software. We are having a nightmare. Thought this was going to be simple. Assuming it's human error but have no idea what is wrong. We have run our own CNC router for years and can't believe we're stumped with this. Any pointers please or a route to find real support from the Neje manufacturers. Again thanks for your video.
What setting affects the total job time the most? I have a test job that is 7 inches by 10 inches that is at 10ms burn time and 50% power and will probably take 10 hours. That is 1/3 the total size this can use so I must have something set too high, but not sure what.
depend on colour and thickness, but generally plastics, vinils and stuff like that is quite hard to cut with a laser, maybe dark colours and up to few mm
Yes 20w can cut to about 4mm with few passes, but check my latesg neje video about neje max 30w, i will also make video about all neje laser moduls from 2,5w to 40w...
Like a lot of other people, like yourself I tried to use Lightburn and it is still a disaster. If you have figured it out, it would be helpful to a lot of us if you could post exactly what it is that you did to get it to work. I hate to think that I have bought a $400 Boat Anchor.
Hi Very useful video. Managed to set mine up with your help. After a few burns I tried a simple one of the pre set pictures, it got half way thru burning and it seemed to get stuck . Laser was still on but x and y were not moving. Can you advise Thank you
Hi i have buy the same neje master 2 20 w but the laser istn good power to even do on wood.. my settings laser power 100 and burning time little bit lower .. do i something wrong or just the machine broke..
Hmm i don't know, try change the burning time, bigger burning time make bigger effect but work slowly, but also with 10ms burning time it must leave traces on wood, also check focus, if focus not set perfectly there will be pure effect.
I just got mine and I'm yet to try it. I will be engraving a logo and text on walnut, maple, ash...hard woods. From your experience what would be a good power/speed setting? Hvala

@@TheWindGinProject it may cut but depend on material, soft plywood can be cutted with air assist, but need to cut slow and make few passes, but hard/heavy plywood can't be cutted, for that you'll need more expencive co2 laser cutter.

Can you offer any links to a similar size that would be better for cutting thin wood of 5mm thick? Sorry to ask another question but now I'm thinking the 20w lasers are not powerful enough even though they advertise them as being able to do it. Hi there. Hoping for some input. I bought the Master 2 - 20 watt unit from a friend yesterday and more or less got it up and running. I've downloaded Lightburn as it's what I use in my day job, and love it. My Y axiz seems off as the dimension of the shape when etched is larger than the actual drawn. Any ideas?
Did the laser last more than a week I bought an off brand engraver and it burned up two lasers? Does it have a problem staying upright when the laser is at the end of the rail?
No it's steel stable also when it's on end of rails, you can see vibration test into my ortur master video, all ghe lasers still works to me but honestly i don't use them too often.
i ordered neje 2 20w but they send me neje 20w my question is how many mm the work place for neje 2 20w ? for example in your video from 14:00 minute you engraving big picture how big is that or how many mm all size of picture ? thank you

If working area 170x170mm is enough for you take neje 2S and if you need for acrylic i would choose 30W for wood engrave you can still buy another 2,5w laser for about 30$. Please buy from some of mine links 😉
I am using the lightburn 09.18 program, but it is drawing outside of my drawing area, there is a sound, how it is adjusted from my machine, it is doing it to the place you specify.
Can those desktop engravers use vector files like SVG? Because i have alot of them for my plotter machine. can it engrave anodized aluminum Type 3 like used on flashlights?

@@j.m.7586 deffinitely windows app is easier to operate, because you got bigger working area, on phone app everything is so small, for cad engraving you really may need windows app. Just instal driver and then open app.

it cut nice because i use 2.5mm balsa, balsa cut really nice and clean, all the parts just come out itself, some small one fall out during cutting because of air assist
No you need a pc to upload image and set power and speed for the first time, then you can engrave same image with same settings offline without a pc. But everything can do also with a smartphone.
I didn't try but i think yes, because movement protection work just on moving, if you mounf it on wall without moving it should work, otherwise controll into grbl software where protection is disabled
I just want a laser to engrave real estate logos on cutting boards. Which should I get? The 3500, 7000 or the 20w. I don’t need this for cutting, I only need speed and clarity of text. No photos, just words and maybe a logo here and there. Deep enough to last for as long as the cutting board is in service.

Sure, check this video firstly, but after replace the motherboard, you'll need to change working area into firmware. Maybe be better choice to buy new model and got two machines 😉

Hello, I using Neje's engraver machine(2s 20W). I'd like to know how to increase the imprint output size. I know instrumentally elongating the profile of the X and Y axes. but, I don't know how to modify the firmware. Please help me.
I know this engraver has small working area. I need this machine for only logo burning. Can this machine burn 1cm x 6cm logo on a hardwood size of 25cm x 45cm.
ofcourse it could, it got engraving area 17x17cm, so if your logo all you need you can take also neje mini wich cost less then $150 and you can engrave on any size of wood, because you can put entire machine on surface you want to engrave, and when you figure it out the right power and speed settings, you could use them offline, so you don't even need a pc to burn logo on your products. You can put something under the machine legs so you lift up the entire machine, so the height is somekind limitless, how deep it can engrave is depend on model you use, i just test 40w modul wich can cut 19mm spruce wood, so same engraving, rubber a bit harder but 1mm can engrave for sure wich should be enough for stamp, 3d moduls, neje software support .nc and .dxf files, but if you use lightburn it support many other files...
@@TinC33 I have a scope, I'm assuming there is +/- 12vdc and the other 2 pins are the PWM. thanks, this new master 2 and laser (20w) is not coming up to power...it does modulate the light when ready to burn, but the max i can get is just enough to focus!

Hello, I bought the neje Master 2 20w, but I can not get a black/grey picture in the program. How did you burn this large picture? My old insma 3500 is smaller but burns pictures in to wood or mirrors and I bought the neje Master because the laser place is 4times larger and I hoped it is faster than the old one.
It is much better than insma, also much faster, but don't know why you can get black picture into program, where is the problem, you open file into neje sw and then?
TinC33 thanks for your answere, so I open a picture an get 3 choices. But often I get only the two on the left side. When I make a picture like I do it all the time, I can not burn it with grey tones. Should I take a Spezial one? JPEG, png.....
@@christophmeidel905 when you choose between two image you got contrast slider under inage, there you set brightness, thqn you can set brightness also with burning time and speed.

I tjink no go, every software or app allow multiple cut on same line, but that work only if laser can cut material if not it won't help even if try 100 times on same line.

@@fabiantrz thanks, i don't remember am i mention or not, but the MDF can't be cutted, because it got too big specific density, i try with air assist and everything but hardly come 0,5mm deep. What kind of still you mean, on 11:30? It's just a piece if steel for weight the wood to be stedy.
I have a 12 volt battery maintain by a 145 watt solar panel thinking on engraving off grid using the battery voltage to power the NE JE that is coming by slow boat china post and EMS . Never have to worry about grid spike over powering the supply and killing mother boards. I have on my 3d printer battery backup. because the first printer the board got fried and no replacement avaible.

Ce vzameš S verzijo je že nadgrajen z 32bit matično, (naslednji video na to temo) glede moči pa na kratko, manjša moč laserja se bolje obnese za grayscale graviranje, za globoko graviranje ter rezanje pa so boljši močnejši 20w+ laserji, prqvtako je pri manjši moči manjša točka laserja torej se da gravirat manjše detajle.

@@TinC33 Thank you for answering me. The problem is that, when i start engraving with the 20W laser with the NEJE V5.3.2 software, nothing happen on my wood or paper even modifying the settings. Literally nothing is appearing but the CNC is working well just no engraving, i m totally new on this product so i m maybe doing something wrong. Thank you

Did you set same connection number as on firmware, if engraver stop respond mid of work upload middle firmware with neje firmware uploader choose middle one not 200000(last one) check my video about neje max, i tell few words about that problem here.
Thank you for your review and tutorial. I managed to make mine work but I am always either messing up the logo where it prints on the spatula or not having it in the correct spot. How do I align the Lazer to print exactly where I want it on a pen or spatula? Thank you!
Put object you want to engrave under the laser and set focus on it's surface, than into neje software click sqare button (framing) another window will apear where you can move your logo inside of working area and the laser will follow with weak light wich show the position of engraving, close the window and click start.

No, you can connect neje anytime, doesnt metter which firmware you got, you need to change firmware only for grbl software (benbox, laser grbl, lightburn...) NEJE software always run on it's own microcontroller (glow neje light)

@@omerargon6477 all you can do is to set focus to smallest possible dot, but more powerfull lasers like 20,30w got bigger dot than weaker lasers, 3,5w modul got relly small focus point. For tiny engraving set motor speed to slow, lower down the laser power and increase burning time so it engrave slower, then text height 1mm can easily been read.
@@IronMan-yg4qw so far i can't tell you, but 30 and 40w loog good, it got fixed fucus so you need to set entire modul height, i think there could be better focus because of this.

@@daliborklusacek2095 no, just set focus same as for the engraving so there is smallest possible dot, with maximum power. power to 100% and rise burning time so it move slower and make bigger effect.

I recently bought an Ortur Master 2 and there was a problem with the motherboard and I would like to adapt the motherboard of this NEJE Master 2 On my Ortur Master 2, would it be possible with any modifications? Do you have the technical data of the NEJE master 2 motherboard for me to make the changes?
i don't know where to get spare motherboard, but if you get i think just need to recconect the motor, limit switch and so on, it should work, but the price of neje 2 / 20W is below 170$ right now in banggood.
i need help connecting my neje master 2 to lightburn. lightburn cant find my laser even tho it is connected and turned on. i did it manually but it makes lots a noise from trying to go to far. i am using neje 5.4.2 to burn stuff but its not as nice as lightburn. plz help thx.

@ESCOBAR ALI Ordered direct from China to UK from Banggood. £158.20 paid. 20 watt version works very well. I am using lightburn software and GBRL firware. Minor issue is apparent lack of homing (but this could be me).
Actually it can engrave on stainless steel quite good, check my other video about neje 20w modul, to see the result on stainless steel with using permanent marker.
Try to change motor speed, or use other siftware where you can set speeds, and acceleration of motor, otherwise you can buy new 32bit motherboard for better speed.
Thanks, i bought that cutting mat in some fabric store, while waiting my wife to buy some fabric, it's brand OLFA japan, great mat but i use only for filming, and i'm really carefull with it, because it cost about $60.

@@PeupleDivinTV ortur 2 is much faster, but the neje is better in all others, better software, easier operate, bluetooth, offline engraving, better focus... as i say 9mm soft wood was mak i cut with air assist and many goes, but for grayscale 3.5w is better than 20W, just those days i'm in contact with neje to send me other models to test like neje mini, midi and maxi, and moduls 30 and 40W.

Can I cut through 1/8 basswood sheets with this laser/engraver?
It should cut yes also 20w laser but anyway take an a4630 or a40640 for faster cut in a single or dual pass.

Check the cables for booth y motors and try to move with hand so you'll be sure wheels running smooth and there's no dirt on the rails.

3mm soft plywood settings was 100laser power and about 5-10ms (about 5mm/s) burning time

No with that design, check for the ortur 2 than if you need bigger working area.

Zry to install new firmware using neje software, otherwise into lightburn change firmaware settings "Y motor steps per mm"
@@TinC33 I changed the Y motor steps per mm. Seems to have fixed it. Thank you for your fast and helpful response.

Did the laser last more than a week I bought an off brand engraver and it burned up two lasers? Does it have a problem staying upright when the laser is at the end of the rail?
No it's steel stable also when it's on end of rails, you can see vibration test into my ortur master video, all ghe lasers still works to me but honestly i don't use them too often.
i ordered neje 2 20w but they send me neje 20w my question is how many mm the work place for neje 2 20w ? for example in your video from 14:00 minute you engraving big picture how big is that or how many mm all size of picture ? thank you

I don't remember but for engraving usualy set to about 5-10ms and 20-40% laser power, best way is to make some test before real work.
For metal engrave 100% laser power and slow speed so more ms
Hi TinC33...I am thinking to get myself a laser cutter. Can you help me with which is the affordable neje cutter that i should buy? I am looking for a cutter and engraver that can cut through and engrave acrylic which is about 3mm.
If working area 170x170mm is enough for you take neje 2S and if you need for acrylic i would choose 30W for wood engrave you can still buy another 2,5w laser for about 30$.

No, I couldn't find such an option to choose. All videos where Lazer follow the line are controlled by windows apps. Could you advise which app is easier to use.
@@j.m.7586 deffinitely windows app is easier to operate, because you got bigger working area, on phone app everything is so small, for cad engraving you really may need windows app.
Just instal driver and then open app.

It would have been nice to see how well the pieces of the plane were cut and how much work it took to depanel.
it cut nice because i use 2.5mm balsa, balsa cut really nice and clean, all the parts just come out itself, some small one fall out during cutting because of air assist
Interesting how much time does it take to engrave letters just a rough approximation. For example how long would it take to write John?
Depend on size, To write JOHN that size like here on pc (font size 12-14) need a few seconds.

No you need a pc to upload image and set power and speed for the first time, then you can engrave same image with same settings offline without a pc. But everything can do also with a smartphone.

Can it work on non horizontal surface, for example to engrave on a wooden wall?
I didn't try but i think yes, because movement protection work just on moving, if you mounf it on wall without moving it should work, otherwise controll into grbl software where protection is disabled
I just want a laser to engrave real estate logos on cutting boards. Which should I get? The 3500, 7000 or the 20w. I don’t need this for cutting, I only need speed and clarity of text. No photos, just words and maybe a logo here and there. Deep enough to last for as long as the cutting board is in service.
My intent is to use this to make enough money to buy a CNC with an engraver. But I wanna get this off the ground now

Sure, check this video firstly, but after replace the motherboard, you'll need to change working area into firmware. Maybe be better choice to buy new model and got two machines 😉
I've only had my neje master 2 for about 2 weeks. How can I tell which board is in it? it has wifi and the red switch button. Is there a way to tell if its a 32 bit board?
Check the motherboard there is white text wich shown is it neje 2 or neje 2 s, all neje 2 got wifi neje 2s is working on 32bit.

I think you don't need to change firmware, just use lightburn and set bigger working area.

I know this engraver has small working area. I need this machine for only logo burning. Can this machine burn 1cm x 6cm logo on a hardwood size of 25cm x 45cm.
ofcourse it could, it got engraving area 17x17cm, so if your logo all you need you can take also neje mini wich cost less then $150 and you can engrave on any size of wood, because you can put entire machine on surface you want to engrave, and when you figure it out the right power and speed settings, you could use them offline, so you don't even need a pc to burn logo on your products. Check the links into video description for order (i saw banggood sell mini fro only $130)

You can put something under the machine legs so you lift up the entire machine, so the height is somekind limitless, how deep it can engrave is depend on model you use, i just test 40w modul wich can cut 19mm spruce wood, so same engraving, rubber a bit harder but 1mm can engrave for sure wich should be enough for stamp, 3d moduls, neje software support .nc and .dxf files, but if you use lightburn it support many other files...

@@TinC33 I have a scope, I'm assuming there is +/- 12vdc and the other 2 pins are the PWM. thanks, this new master 2 and laser (20w) is not coming up to power...it does modulate the light when ready to burn, but the max i can get is just enough to focus!

Hello, I bought the neje Master 2 20w, but I can not get a black/grey picture in the program. How did you burn this large picture?
My old insma 3500 is smaller but burns pictures in to wood or mirrors and I bought the neje Master because the laser place is 4times larger and I hoped it is faster than the old one.
It is much better than insma, also much faster, but don't know why you can get black picture into program, where is the problem, you open file into neje sw and then?

When I make a picture like I do it all the time, I can not burn it with grey tones.

@@christophmeidel905 when you choose between two image you got contrast slider under inage, there you set brightness, thqn you can set brightness also with burning time and speed.

I tjink no go, every software or app allow multiple cut on same line, but that work only if laser can cut material if not it won't help even if try 100 times on same line.

@@fabiantrz thanks, i don't remember am i mention or not, but the MDF can't be cutted, because it got too big specific density, i try with air assist and everything but hardly come 0,5mm deep.
What kind of still you mean, on 11:30? It's just a piece if steel for weight the wood to be stedy.
I have a 12 volt battery maintain by a 145 watt solar panel thinking on engraving off grid using the battery voltage to power the NE JE that is coming by slow boat china post and EMS . Never have to worry about grid spike over powering the supply and killing mother boards. I have on my 3d printer battery backup. because the first printer the board got fried and no replacement avaible.
I try to power my neje mini with 3s lipo (wich is more than 12v) and it work without any problem.
is it print on keyboard button?
Depnd on plastic and paint type but i think it will only melt a bit of plastic surface.

Ce vzameš S verzijo je že nadgrajen z 32bit matično, (naslednji video na to temo) glede moči pa na kratko, manjša moč laserja se bolje obnese za grayscale graviranje, za globoko graviranje ter rezanje pa so boljši močnejši 20w+ laserji, prqvtako je pri manjši moči manjša točka laserja torej se da gravirat manjše detajle.

The problem is that, when i start engraving with the 20W laser with the NEJE V5.3.2 software, nothing happen on my wood or paper even modifying the settings. Literally nothing is appearing but the CNC is working well just no engraving, i m totally new on this product so i m maybe doing something wrong.

Did you set same connection number as on firmware, if engraver stop respond mid of work upload middle firmware with neje firmware uploader choose middle one not 200000(last one) check my video about neje max, i tell few words about that problem here.

Try with 100% laser power and slow down the speed, but you need air assist for cutting.
Thank you for your review and tutorial. I managed to make mine work but I am always either messing up the logo where it prints on the spatula or not having it in the correct spot. How do I align the Lazer to print exactly where I want it on a pen or spatula? Thank you!
Put object you want to engrave under the laser and set focus on it's surface, than into neje software click sqare button (framing) another window will apear where you can move your logo inside of working area and the laser will follow with weak light wich show the position of engraving, close the window and click start.

No, you can connect neje anytime, doesnt metter which firmware you got, you need to change firmware only for grbl software (benbox, laser grbl, lightburn...) NEJE software always run on it's own microcontroller (glow neje light)

@@omerargon6477 all you can do is to set focus to smallest possible dot, but more powerfull lasers like 20,30w got bigger dot than weaker lasers, 3,5w modul got relly small focus point.
For tiny engraving set motor speed to slow, lower down the laser power and increase burning time so it engrave slower, then text height 1mm can easily been read.
Can you please recommend a face mask to protect from inhaling the smoke when engraving wood?

@@IronMan-yg4qw so far i can't tell you, but 30 and 40w loog good, it got fixed fucus so you need to set entire modul height, i think there could be better focus because of this.

Try to play a bit, type text into box than select all and click font, size... Than comfirm and insert into working area.

I recently bought an Ortur Master 2 and there was a problem with the motherboard and I would like to adapt the motherboard of this NEJE Master 2 On my Ortur Master 2, would it be possible with any modifications? Do you have the technical data of the NEJE master 2 motherboard for me to make the changes?
i don't know where to get spare motherboard, but if you get i think just need to recconect the motor, limit switch and so on, it should work, but the price of neje 2 / 20W is below 170$ right now in banggood.
Throw the original board in the garbage and use Arduino + GRBL, no more problems

Where are there no comments that this laser cutter does not even have an ON/OFF switch!!!!
the only downside I have with this unit is the speed. It's very slow in both settings ..wireless or direct connection to my laptop.
Try to change motor speed, or use other siftware where you can set speeds, and acceleration of motor, otherwise you can buy new 32bit motherboard for better speed.

Thanks, i bought that cutting mat in some fabric store, while waiting my wife to buy some fabric, it's brand OLFA japan, great mat but i use only for filming, and i'm really carefull with it, because it cost about $60.

as i say 9mm soft wood was mak i cut with air assist and many goes, but for grayscale 3.5w is better than 20W, just those days i'm in contact with neje to send me other models to test like neje mini, midi and maxi, and moduls 30 and 40W.
