The Tundra is on pace for one of the best years ever which is crazy. Taco they had no stock til Q2 but they also are too high priced and high rates. 2025 will be telling for taco. RAV4 is the best selling I think
They only recalled 2022-2023 because there is still no remedy for the recall. If they issue a safety recall with no remedy on the 2024, then they'd have to stop selling them which they didn't want to do. 2024s have had issues too....we'll see if they extend the recall to those as well once the 2025s hit.
This is all location dependant. Also, they include fleet sales and leases as "Sales," in their numbers. "Leasing," is a rental contract. I don't believe one manufacturer is doing "Good," at all right now with pricing and finance rates all ridiculously higher than the average household can afford.
I think it's entirely possible that a lot of manufacturers have figured out they can sell fewer vehicles to more affluent people, make more profit and not care about targeting vehicles to the middle class. There are over 330 million people in the US, between all the manufacturers they sell around 16 million per year. That seems to be a big part of it to me...
might just be the one dealer in frederick. down south, the toyota lots are full. the lot in frederick is what covid looked like down south. not anymore.
From a numbers perspective Toyota is selling a lot, I think GM is the only other manufacturer close in sales. Where are you located? It does seem to be geographic dependent for sure, but the Toyota dealers I see around me are all fairly low inventory compared to Ford or others.
At the price of the new toyotas im sensing most people won't retire until they hit 85. Also your falling for the marketing trick. They move their vehicles to indicate that dealer gives deals cause their lots are empty.
It’ll take a while for these nieve people. The more they buy, the more Toyota will raise the price. The reasons why I say it’ll take a bit, is because their resale value is taking a hit. Once the buyers decide to start trading them in and realize the hit they’ll take it’s when it’ll make a full circle. To each their own, I won’t buy an overpriced time bomb.
How do you know they’re not playing the same game they did before they like it when you got a couple everybody want to get the last one too much money when they got a lot of inventory they got to give you a deal when they don’t they won’t. that’s the game they playing and I’m not falling for it. ain’t nobody bought all them trucks off the lot.
Sorry don't feel like being broke down, sitting on the side of the road, then waiting a month for Toyota to change the short block instead of the whole engine because they're cheapskates🤦
Dealer handling and markups? What a scam, these dealers still have not learned. Hard pass...yeah this one dealer is snowing people but over all this is not the norm. These things are stacking up like cord wood. One dealer is not a trend.
Currently the 2024s are not included in the recall. It's less likely that the 24s will have issues than the 22-23, but not out of the realm of possibility.
Then they charging you money for all the stuff they put on there that you didn’t tell them to put on there and you pay interest on that stuff put my own stuff on my truck and I don’t have to pay no interest on it are you trying to justify the high price of the truck?
😂😂😂 The Doom and Gloom the SKY IS FALLING at Toyota the TH-camrs and Social Media influencer are doing is not working I guess lol . Toyota is on pace to be the world’s #1 car manufacturer. If folks could keeping on buying GM Ford and FCA products with Known issues why can’t Toyota?😂
That’s usually the reasoning I hear from buyers. They say “they all have issues”. Toyota will likely be the #1 this year. They just have to be careful not to continue to tarnish their image with things like engine failures.
It’s gotta be low information fan boys buying these. Who in their right mind would risk sleepless nights and safety over these over priced ticking time bombs?
Couldn’t be because Toyota is purposely restricting production? Low supply = high demand… Every body wants what they can’t have. & the shit bag dealerships are adding a bunch of bullshit non-optional “options” padding their margins. They are coasting on their reputation for quality & durability. But their reputation is starting to show its stretch marks & cellulite. I’ll stick with my 2006 Tacoma TRD Off-road 4x4 6-speed manual. It has just under 170k miles & still purrs.
I've thought about this. I do think Toyota likes to keep lots skimpy after the events of 2020. I can't see how anyone could claim supply chain issues any longer, I think they are trying to manage stock at dealers intentionally. On the flip side, they are selling a ton of vehicles, their sales are up this year while a lot of manufacturers are down.
Yes, soy-based insulation in car wiring can be attractive to rodents and cause damage to your car. Rodents are drawn to cars because they are warm, quiet, and safe places to hide, and the wiring can be a convenient place to trim their teeth. Chewing on wires can also help rodents keep their teeth in good shape, similar to how cats need to regularly sharpen their claws. 😂
Well, when you buy Ford or GM, you are at risk for transmissions and engine failures. People forget that when the last generation Tundra started, they had engine issues, and it became one of the most reliable trucks. Tundras are selling because people trust Toyota more than the domestic companies.
Yeah their reputation will probably last a bit longer...as long as they don't have more failures. If they figure out the Tundra engine and all the other little issues with it, they can probably start to encroach on Ram for sales.
Not hating, just pointing out what is going on with the Tundra/Taco. All valid/factual data. I own three Toyotas, definitely not a "hater". Also...sales don't mean that a brand is building reliable vehicles, look at GM.
How long before Toyota gets stock levels like other manufacturers? I think maybe by end of 2024 to early 2025?

The Tundra is on pace for one of the best years ever which is crazy. Taco they had no stock til Q2 but they also are too high priced and high rates. 2025 will be telling for taco. RAV4 is the best selling I think
why did toyota recall the tundras and are they still selling new tundras have the engine problem fixed?
They only recalled 2022-2023 because there is still no remedy for the recall. If they issue a safety recall with no remedy on the 2024, then they'd have to stop selling them which they didn't want to do. 2024s have had issues too....we'll see if they extend the recall to those as well once the 2025s hit.
Stay away from dealers that have mark ups.
If they bring price down?😢
those are numbers sold to dealerships not to customers, and since they were so far behind dealers were empty now not so much
That’s not how the sales numbers are reported. If you have a source for where you got that info I’ll be glad to check it out
This is all location dependant.
@@TheCarGuyOnlineThis makes a lot of sense. The lower middle class and middle class are probably opting for used 5-10 years old vehicles
I just loving my 18 taco 🌮 man !
Im pretty sure the 25 4runner is made in Japan
might just be the one dealer in frederick. down south, the toyota lots are full. the lot in frederick is what covid looked like down south. not anymore.
From a numbers perspective Toyota is selling a lot, I think GM is the only other manufacturer close in sales. Where are you located? It does seem to be geographic dependent for sure, but the Toyota dealers I see around me are all fairly low inventory compared to Ford or others.
Get a Nissan Frontier. Better bang for your buck and a v6 naturally asperated
They are going to dominate repo fairly soon. 😂
At the price of the new toyotas im sensing most people won't retire until they hit 85. Also your falling for the marketing trick. They move their vehicles to indicate that dealer gives deals cause their lots are empty.
Yeah it's bananas. I guess some people can afford it.
Id go frontier or haggle to death on a gladiator mojave before im going with the sr5
I call bs. Every Toyota dealership in my area is slam full of these trucks.
I’ll buy a tundra pro if it had 0 percent. Until then I’ll pass.
Forget the tundra and Tacoma all their other vehicles are safe
Well maybe...except that they also cheated on their safety ratings :)
Only thing toyota is dominating (truck wise) is the nissan titan. Ram, ford, gm all sold WAY more units
That’s surprising. TFL and Truck King both had really bad problems with their Toyotas.
Yup, it doesn't seem to be hurting sales at all really. The argument I hear from most people is "it's still better than the rest"...
For 60k, there are many other options....
We live in a country of a lot of dumb people. Corporation and the government are treating us like cattle. We don’t have voice anymore.
Dealer handling and markups? What a scam, these dealers still have not learned. Hard pass...yeah this one dealer is snowing people but over all this is not the norm. These things are stacking up like cord wood. One dealer is not a trend.
Unfortunately, Toyota is out selling pretty much every manufacturer worldwide. They have the lowest time on lot
Quality is so low and the bar even lower across all segments , so it doesn’t really matter😂
Does every one of those tundras need new engines? Selling trd sport for 54k out the door. 54k when toyota is saving 80% on labor in mexico.
Welp price drops aint in the forecast anytime soon then
Yeah about the only one Toyota dropped in price was the Tundra, and that really wasn't that much considering the initial cost.
DESPITE BAD PRESS ?? You mean despite garbage product.....right ?
It’s gotta be low information fan boys buying these. Who in their right mind would risk sleepless nights and safety over these over priced ticking time bombs?
Junk never buy another Toyota
Besides all your bad press…… now you know that Internet is not the real world 😅
Couldn’t be because Toyota is purposely restricting production?
Not buying stop selling for Toyota they made big mistake no turbos v8 only
Yes, soy-based insulation in car wiring can be attractive to rodents and cause damage to your car. Rodents are drawn to cars because they are warm, quiet, and safe places to hide, and the wiring can be a convenient place to trim their teeth. Chewing on wires can also help rodents keep their teeth in good shape, similar to how cats need to regularly sharpen their claws. 😂
Toyota still king!!!!!
Toyota fell off
We can rule out smart people this way. Driving a new Tundra? Your a dope. 😂
Carguyonline,
Why the big hard on for Toyota ?
Lately you hating bit too much on Toyota / vehicles..
Not hating, just pointing out what is going on with the Tundra/Taco. All valid/factual data. I own three Toyotas, definitely not a "hater". Also...sales don't mean that a brand is building reliable vehicles, look at GM.
