I bought a 2024 Tundra last week. The dealer explicitly stated to me that the crankshaft bearing problem was fixed for 2024. He was lying. The 2024s are blowing up just like the 2023/2022s!! I suspect that Toyota isn't extending the recalls to the 2024s until they have cleared the 2024s off their lots. I suspect that the bearing problem is not completely explained by debris left in during forging in Alabama and Japan. Concern: The new engines will disintegrate, too. It is the same engine!! Buyer Beware. Instead of focusing on engineering, Toyota is focusing on ridiculous trim packages. Remember "new Coke", which was supposed to be better than old Coke? Last Toyota for me. It annoys me when people these days tout Honda reliability as a reason to buy a Honda over another manufacturer. I've owned two Hondas and both were the least reliable I ever owned. My previous 2018 Honda Accord Sport 2.0 required a new transnission 6 months after buying it brand new. I had traded a 2014 Accord Touring V6 that was skipping gears. Terrible quality, just terrible.

I know for sure theyre having a problem with the 10 speed Allison transmissions because my buddies 2023 just had the valve body go out and ive watched several other videos of problems with it. Also torque converter issues. For 90 to 110k this is unacceptable. I just watched a guy lose 10k for his rental they didnt cover after originally committing to cover it. #Gmc is dead. They produce garbage now. Wtf. Your charging crazy money for shit. Youve pissed off your customers who pay your salary. Clearly you dont care because youve chose to not fix the probelm. You knew and we all know you know. A kid could produce a spread sheat to track and graph this common problem. Then there is the cp4 that were blowing up on people. I had a bcm issue in my 2021 2500 Denali from the program getting hung up from simply trying to program a key. Thats not even starting on the v8 dod afm bullshit trash they produce bbstraight garbage company now. Just like the rest of them. #gmcistrash

I have a 2016 Pilot which I bought new and in Aug. 2024 I took to Honda for state inspection. I was told there was a recall which I never received no notification from Honda about connecting rod problems. I never had any indication or problems with the engine except a slight hesitation when it is the economy mode. The engine has great power other than that. I do my own oil changes and found no signs of metal shaving or any of sort. The Honda dealership where I take it to told me they do not have the parts available. I called this week know November to see if they received the parts and they told me no. Still no notification!

I just heard about this last week, I have a 2021 1500 with the 3.0 Duramax and the so called 10 sped transmission, going into 95,000 miles, I have no issues whatsoever but this is some what concerning, I'll be making an appointment to my dealer in a few days to see what they're actually planning to do before I run out of warranty., other than that I'm loving my Duramax with it's average 25 to 27 mpg,, my lifetime average on the whole 95k miles is 25.4,,not bad for a full size 4dr truck with a camper and always full of tools..

I just had this in my 2023 1500 AT4 baby diesel. Was able to get the solenoid and the dealer swapped it out. 25K miles. I was also able to limp it along by electronic reset of the system via battery disconnect. Not a good feeling with a $70K truck.

Wow I have wanted a Tundra for awhile. Couldn’t afford the sticker so ended up with a Ram. Maybe turned out good for me?

My transmission failed on September 12th it’s been at the dealership since then. It’s now November 21st and they finally told me two days ago it will be several months before they can get a valve throttle body to fix it at a cost of $2,500. The service manager told me there are only 27 valve throttle body assemblies in the continental United States. They are waiting on a part that’s not even available yet to start production on new body assemblies! I’ve been renting a car now for nine weeks and I’m told by gmc corporate I’ll be reimbursed for the rental minus taxes and feed!! Meanwhile I’m making payments on my 2020 sierra with 70,000 miles on it and insuring it too! I bought a truck because I need a truck for trailering my boat and picking up wood pellets by the pallet. Haven’t been able to do dump runs and everything else you would by a truck for!! What an inconvenience and cost. My truck is out of warranty by miles not years. I’ve lost all faith in GM products. Probably going to have to buy a new truck which I don’t want to! Was planning on having this truck another five years at least

If it’s a recall, why should your truck have to be under warranty to get it repaired ???

Inhave had 8 of these engines and never had a single issue. My dad has a 185k miles on an odyssey no issues

The government interference, namely the EPA, is forcing this all! The fleet mileage standard is why they can't sell a manual transmission anymore! The question as to why the gas-powered trucks aren't included . Find one with a motor that lasts that long! One person I know is on his 5th 5.3 in a 2021.

I would like to see the incentives removed for used EVs. I think they are improperly propping up the prices of used Teslas. There are 1000s of them on sale but almost all above 20K and then you read the fine print, and it basically says that's the price after discounts.

I miss my 2010 Accord with the durable K24. If some lady hadn't rear ended my car I'd still be driving it today. Had over 100K miles and not a single issue.

during Q2 24, when Tesla reported 45% decline in quarterly profit, out of 1.4 billion profit, 900 million came from credit. Only 500 million from actual profit on the cars sold. It is very obvious what will happen to Tesla and other EV players like Rivian and Lucid when Trump relaxes CAFE's MPG requirement and CARB is removed altogether. Other automakers do not need to buy as many credits from them

The discontinuing of the Truck, the price, and the lack of sales should tell you that the Titan is in fact, NOT reliable. 2016-2024 Titans have countless issues.

The tax credit gets deducted from your cars Value

It won't be the death of EV cars. The only thing the tax credit has served to do is put more money in the pockets of the manufacturers. They simply add on the cost of the credit. Same thing colleges do. They are aware of all the grants and scholarships and they raise tuition accordingly. If the credit goes away, then EVs will have to come down in price to compete with gas cars.

sorry for the long comment i own a 2024 tundra sr5 crewmax 4x4 i bought it with 2 miles on it and first issue was the harmonic balancer [aka the crank pully ]. it was bad the dealer only discovered it because i change my oil on a new vehicle early .as a former lube tech i don't believe in 10,000 mile oil changes i change the break in oil in 1,000 to 1,200 miles and the every 5,000 mile after that . the dealer replaced my harmonic balancer ,spring, crank bolt, and pulley under warranty i now have a little over 1,300 miles on my tundra and i can safely say i have not had any more issues so far. i believe tundra owners should change their oil early to solve certain issues that will arise

Don't worry the failures are in the Ford 10r80 also may not be the same symptoms but they have issues

or buy one & buy the warranty the dealer offers instead of pretending vehicle dont break... smh
