    worked perfect on my 2013 GL450... once I made sure my door was closed ALL the day, haha. That is key and he says it in the video to close doors and windows up, but I made the mistake of lightly closing my door and not realizing it was not latched shut the first time I tried it..

      lol, crazy how the car needs to have the door closed when in actuality it doesn’t even matter.

    Excellent video, thank you very much, I have two doubts, 1st. I have to do this process to replace the Rear Speed Sensor?, 2nd. My steering wheel comes out but doesn't up or down, it makes a thick noise when push the lever but don't do anything else, what can I do?, my car is also a GL450 2013, thanks in advance...

    I have a 2015 ML 350. I could not get the menu to place the car into service mode to replace the pads with the ignition in the first position. After several unsuccessful attempts to get the menu to come up, I pressed the ignition button again, second position, and tried that. This worked for me and the menu came up just like in this video. I put the car into rear brake service mode, replaced the brake pads and rotors, then returned the rear brakes to normal operating position. This was the first time I've changed these pads and was unaware that only one side of the rear brakes uses the wear sensor and I had order two of them. I'll eventually use the other wear sensor on the front pads when they need to be changed.

    Make sure you have the mileage screen up for this to work, can’t be on music or anything else

  • @shaunlion311
    @shaunlion311 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you have your MPH readout up or any other option other than your screen to ONLY show the Mileage when you go to position 1 after pressing your start button or turning your key to Postion One.
    IT WILL NOT WORK. Mileage must be showing when you attempt. At least that’s on my 2013 GL550. Thanks so much I got In…😊

  • @richard1835

    So you have to leave the ignition in the accessory position to do the brakes? Thank you

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You probably don’t but since this was my first time putting a car like this into service mode, I just left it for fear of messing something up.

      Do you have to wind piston in? I'm only getting noise and 1mm clearance when brake released , and doing as above, can hear motors but didn't try wind back manually, as amg badge prevents my tool

    (2. How to replace the front domelight led)
    (3. How to replace the switchlight led on the door)

    May I ask you to shoot a video? ??

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      차기헌 I don’t own this car. It’s a customer’s car. I don’t have a video showing how to access the dome lights. That being said, Most of the dome lights are press fit into place. You should be able to use a credit card or a small flat head screwdriver to release the tabs on the front or sides of the light assembly.
