Thank you sooooo much. I am a single woman. I. Paid $700 to have them change the filters and do a service and the filter STILL smells!! So, now I can go look to see if they really did their job!! And next I'll save a lot!!!
Great video!!! My wife said she can change her GLE filters after seeing this!!! She was frustrated by a local repair shop that kept her car for 6 hours but NEVER were able to replace her cabin air filters!!! Now she has zero confidence in them after seeing this incredibly well done simple video!! Awesome!! Thanks Nikita K !!
Thank you! You have so much great knowledge.... and watching your TH-cam channel i was able to confidentially change the air cabin filters on my W166 ml350 which helped me to save heaps of money. Thank you again! 🙂👌
Well thought off and concise presentation. Clear sequential and pertinent direction with no unnecessary or irrelevant subjects that waste a viewer's time.
You are very welcome. I would not recommend using a perfume, because it may create an environment for growing bacteria and fungi. You may try spraying a disinfectant(Clorox or similar) into the filter air intake while the AC is running. But not too much.
Great vid ivoovi. To the top right hand side of the first filter in the air intake housing there is a hole. You can see it at 3:15 on your vid. When I removed my filter I inadvertently knocked out a plug and can’t see it below. There doesn’t seem to be one in your vid. Any idea what it’s for?
This is a common problem with this generation GLE. Not all cars were affected, but there was enough for having a class action lawsuit. I heard some people take the filters out, and while the ac is running they spray a little disinfectant into the air intake.
Mercedes part number for the blower housing: Part# 166-830-72-01 Part# 166-830-82-01 Filter for the air intake housing: Mercedes Part# 166-830-02-18 FRAM CF11719
I have 2018 GLE 350 4matic , I couldn't find the filter one goes in the front ,catches leaves and Dirts , can you give me part number please ? Thanks in Advance
This video shows how to replace all three cabin air filters. By going through the glove box, you can only access two out of three filters. Bonus: this method is also easier and faster! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, helping us save $$, and also enabling us to feel the satisfaction of completing a well done job! I will have to use both my hands though…
Great video but this has to be in the top TEN worst designs. Basically had to crush the filters to make them fit. This compromises the integrity of the filters. Way to go efffning Mercedes engineers. Another fail. BTW, OEM or after market filters there's no difference in the crush factor to install.
Thank you for your video it was very helpful and save me money I recently purchased a GLE 2019 400 for the life of me I cannot figure out how to check the oil being and has no dipstick can you help feel free to email me thank you
