One thing I’ve discovered with the knees elevated position, is that if I push my knees close together, I get the feeling that I’m further opening something up deep in my anatomy.

I just came home from the hospital after surgery and was constipated from the anesthesia and little activity. Happened upon your video. I did all of the exercises and shortly after was able to have a BM. Thanks Dr. Rowe! Big hug.

I had this problem at school. So I started riding a bicycle to school and back(about two miles away). It completely cured the problem

As usual, you cover subjects that others would avoid. I've trapped a inner muscle in my right forearm, ny hgv job means l load & unload heavy items by pushing & pulling. It feels like a trapped nerve, inly fires jn pain when arm fully extended. Any advice?

This video and trying these exercises made me realize that these are good workouts to do in general. And how important it is to stretch. Because they felt awkward to me while attempting to do them. Especially the standing squats using the doorway post. I did them half ass after drinking some warm water and about 20 min later I had to go to the toilet. Lol definitely effective. I came here because I struggle with passing bowel movements as well. Been doing alot of research on how to make it better. Thank you for this video!

If constipated, try this:
Go to a big grocery store and look for canned pears in their own juice.
Not jarred pears, not fresh pears, not in light syrup, not in heavy syrup.
Once you find some canned pears in their own juice, eat the whole can. You should have a BM by the next day.
Maintenance dose would be 1/2 can per day.
Note: Canned pears in their own juice can be challenging to find - most everything is in light or heavy syrup which will not work.

What KIND of mag?
I find having a Squatty Potty has been a real game changer for me. I've also been taking a course on improving my core and in addition to the Squatty Potty, the physical therapist recommends sitting as upright as possible. When our core is activated correctly, it works in conjunction with our rectum to help us relieve ourselves easier. Before this, I'd lean forward while having my legs elevated and it was still a struggle. Also, there are some nutritional things to consider too. More fiber from vegetables or even adding in bile salts to our diet can help things move better. I've also found that organic Kefer and the probiotics it provides has improved my bathroom time. Good stuff Dr. Rowe!
Where I can buy bile salts
Since I went Carnivore a year ago, no more constipation. Meat and meat fat are full of amino acids and almost everything is absorbed. No fiber. Nothing to waste and clog you up. Oh plus I lost 60 lbs. My blood sugar and blood pressure are almost normal and the pain in my body from Fibromyalgia and arthritis is gone (unless I fall off the wagon and eat a pistachio.) Oxalates and lectins are horrible.

Hey doc Rowe! Thanks for another informative video. I've recently started back utilizing an exercise stance called "the horse stance". I'm sure you're familiar with it. Since then, I've noticed a better flow of the bowel movements. Is there actually a correlation here?...lol I used to perform the stance all the time, but just got away from it. Well, I'm back with it and the techniques you shared here in this video. Good techniques for having a great poo is excellent for the body. They can possibly move poo that has been locked away in the colon. Thanks again.
This would've been a fun video to hear the phrase, "you might get that sudden pop, crack, or release that you're looking for, but don't try to force it."

Haha! The way it almost always works for me is to go outside to the garden after my breakfast, just stand there for a while and look at the tree tops and listen to the birds. Or the same could also be accomplished with just by looking at the trees from the window. The key is to relax and not force anything!

Oh, this requires a fair amount of strength. Some of us are old, but I will try. Actually I do all the ones in this video and one more he didn't cover. I can squat till I almost touch the floor. I think I may have diverticulitis. So it's discouraging.
yeah this does work. i bought a poop stool off amazon over 2 years ago. every time i do the #2, I USE IT. works as advertised. i havent had a struggle poop session since. stuff literally flies out with no help. i do what u did with the garbage can, except i lean into my knees slightly pushing my stomach, helps even more.
