Super distracting and not at all realistic. This effect is best viewed from the outside of the hammerheads cockpit glass from afar, light refraction from a distance is correct especially since star citizen ships are using ALON ( Aluminum Oxynitride ) a transparent aluminum ceramic material which would behave like this from OUTSIDE. Inside the ship it would look no different than viewing through typical laminated glass aka nearly zero light refraction, unless the cockpit window was harshly angled as found in the mantis or MSR.
