For those of us who ditch gimbles immediately, those turn into 4 S3 weapons. Which more than makes it a great solo ship. Then if you put a gunner in there, 8 S3's. No bubble gum required.
Honestly the difference between size 3 and size 2 is negated by the capacitors, having all size three guns gives you 40 more overall dps with less capacitors, you would be better off using size 2 gimbled because you get 21 more shots per gun. Just depends how often you hit your target though.
If this sleek design of the bomber jet does appear on 40k Warhammer i do think that scorpius would be one of the archeotech jet fighter that would be coveted and revered by the mechanicus because it was one of the daot stuff..😹😹😸😸😸😝😝😝
Hopefully, we get the AI blades function soon so that solo pilots can use that turret on their own, but that will never be as effective as a warm body with a sharp pair of eyes and an itchy trigger finger in that back seat.
Very fun dual seater. Just that missile copilot is bugged at the moment, having missile selected in remote turret mode can inadvertently lock out the gunner. Also wish scanning worked for gunner, as well as having targeting options and ship status on the screens. But if your gunner just wants to point and shoot it’s the perfect ship
Just a heads up, you kept sayong it had size 2 guns on the wings, and thats not really correct. It has size 3 hardpoints. If you have size 2 guns on it, it is only because you have size 3 gimbles attached which hold size 2 guns. I run mine with 4 size 3 fixed repeaters to match the Turrets range and relative DPS as best as possible.
It comes stock with 4 size 2 gimbaled guns. That’s how I review these ships, stock. Upgrades are a completely different subject which can be broken down in other videos.
@@EvenLease44 okeedokey, thats fair to a point. I guess then i have a bit of a framing issue with the review. If you are explicity only reviewing a stock loadout, then i would sugest that should be reiterated when making final recomendations. Listening to the review i personally got the impression repeatedly that comments were applicable across the board for the ship not just for its stock loadout, especially since much of your commentary is applicable across tje board for all outfits possible (ie its buttons, UI, manueverability, second seat, etc...). It would help my engagment in watching your reviews in the future to have a better understanding your commentary is specific to the stock experience from the get-go. Maybe its more clear in other reviews, but this one could have benefitted from tbe ocassional reiteration of the review being based off only the stock experience, maybe by including the occasional "with the stock weapons..." or "with stock components...." or "before upgrading...". This is meant to be a constructive bit of feedback, i enjoy your review. Maybe my heightened familiarity with the scorpius let me pick up on an issue i hadnt noticed before (or that wasnt present im other reviews). :) Hope you are having a happy holiday season! o7

Confirming, you never say they are gimbled size 2s. You mention what gun is on each wing, not mentioning gimbles or size of hardpoint even. Which should (in my opinion) be included in a review ;)
Fun fact: note that being able to effectively occupy the gunner turret and be able to shoot an move it around, you have a 50/50 chance of the turret working. you can either get it working or the turret is useless. one person can activate and the other one that tries cant use it. This turret has been bugged since it came out and rsi is failing to fix this bug since 3.18 Other fun fact* the scorpius antares gunner position IS able to shoot the rockets for the pilot when pilot is engaging enemies. If you cant get the turret to work you will never be able to until hopefully an update comes that actually fixes the scorpius turret. It is a great ship but it is bugged as hell and 90% of the time not able to use its full function.....
Don't forget that when they give us computer blades, you'll be able to lock the turret forward and slave it to the pilot's trigger. I believe this ship was balanced against the F8 Lightning.
Gotta love all those too high to reach buttons still getting through Quality passes even in the latest ship designs. That aside, the Scorp looks great but is a bit too beefy for my personal taste. Hopefully, the features will soon come together as far as the gunner (it's not a copilot) is concerned.

The stinger paint is the one for the Scorpius, but it’s rare.
