I replied, "Vegan don't eat any animal products, so I made dishes from natural botanical products. If veganism is so healthy, why do you want meat substitutes to begin with?" That stopped her in her tracks. I then pulled out a bunch of Medieval meat/fish, milk, egg, etc dishes for me. I said, "I hope you don't mind." I have chosen to be vegan but I am not going to criticize your husband one bit. His life; his choice. And I'm not exactly thrilled by the utility of fake leather. Even the most sophisticated, breathable, fake leather materials, leave a lot to be desired. I will say that all my cars have fabric seats, not leather seats. The couch in my living room has a nice comfortable fabric. Not sure why anyone would prefer leather in these situation. As far as shoes go, in rainy or snowy weather real leather seems to outperform any fake leather and any fabric that I have seen, whether the fabric is made from plant fibers such as cotton, from fossil fuels such as polyester or acrylic, or made from a combination of fibers. But as far as seating used indoors, I don't see any need for either leather or fake leather. We are here on earth together. We have differences, and life is best if we accept each other's differences, accept the fact that people do things differently than other people, without bitching about this. I don't like to cause animals to suffer, but I value human life more than I value animal life.

1:40 I have to push back a little. Humans mostly eat vegetables historically. Reason being that meat was really hard to come by. We prefer meat but generally it was not available that much.
Humans ate more meat than you think they did. When it comes to fruits and vegetables we ate them when they were in season. Remember historically humans were hunter gatherers before they were farmers.
Something I was taught in the first grade. Carnivores (hunters) have their eyes looking forward so they can stalk prey. Herbivores (food) have their eyes on either side of their heads so they can look both directions at the same to to spot the carnivores. Where are human's eyes located? Why do we have canine teeth? Why is there no way for our digestive system to metabolize cellulose? We can eat processed plants. We can eat meat raw and our body will digest it so fast that if we eat enough we get "meat sweats'. Why does NOTHING about us support your religion?
It's important to allow vegans to eat what they want... However they ought to be studied so that future generations can understand what happens to the human body. Their subsequent behaviours, and declines in their ability to control their moods and emotions, should also be monitored so that people can understand the source of their hysteria in order to be able take and manage appropriate precautions, remedies and/or ameliorations .

By definition, an omnivore is an animal that is capable of living on either plant or animal food, or both. Humans have lived by eating mostly animal flesh. Humans have lived by eating mostly plants. Humans have lived by eating both. That shows that we are omnivores. What we have been capable of living upon shows that we are omnivores. To determine if an animal is an omnivore herbivore or carnivore you look at what it eats in the wild rather than try to guess what it is by looking at its digestive system. The chinese panda for example has a digestive tract that looks like that of a carnivore, however in the wild (and in captivity too) it eats only a certain kind of bamboo - making it an herbivore. Zoo operators have found that chinese pandas get sick if you introduce animal foods into their diet!

What actually hurts sheep is when they're not shorn. They were bred to produce much more wool than wild ones do and not shed it. They get horribly overgrown and suffer. Same with llamas.
Great video! Vegans want everyone else to eat what is good for the planet, animals or anything that is not YOU. Carnivores tell you about their fantastic experience and want you to have as much enjoyment from life as they are having. Carnivore is human centric. Veganism goes against human health, against our evolution as meat eaters, against our flourishing as a species. It is not the proper human diet. The problem is we are omnivores today. What is an omnivorous animal? One that eats meat but can eat some plants if it needs to. I would go out on a limb and say give any omnivore an option of meat or a plant I’d be amazed if they went for the plant. I’d also be surprised that if given endless meat they would preferentially eat it. They are basically carnivores that are not as efficient hunters as others. Herbivores get protein from their gut microbes which they digest having fed them plants and grasses.
I saw a woman make her dog a vegan. Then went on to say he would choose to be vegan. The tv crew put it to the test. They put a bowl of meat next to the veggies he was eating. That dog acted like it was starving while eating the meat. Man the look on the owners face. The dog probably was starving. Less animal abuse in the process of making our meat. There can be a happy medium - eat humanely raised meat and loads of plants. This is the healthy way.
On this planet you will find that there are two kinds of creatures; those that eat other animals, and then prey. We didn't rise to the top of the food chain and inhabit the entire planet by eating celery sticks and whining about feelings.
Even Herbivires will opportunistically eat meat if they need to Horses, Cows and Deer have all been seen killing and eating small lizards, Snakes, Rodents and Birds for the protein boost especially when they're pregnant. They have done experiments with plants where they measure their electrical activity when humans project both good and bad intentions towards them. It’s almost as if they have a consciousness, which I believe they do. Plants also secrete a variety of toxic chemicals in order to prevent being eaten. Bottom line is that plants don’t want to be eaten either. Since I started eating the carnivore diet, I did start to think about the animals I was eating. It then occurred to me that I must make my meals a spiritual act. A living entity gave its life so I can sustain mine. I’m pretty sure ancient cultures understood this, and that is where the practice of saying grace comes from.

@@TheLonny_P You are correct. Hunter gatherers do eat more meat. After agriculture meat was less available

Exactly my grandparents are 80+ and still running around all day and night, i had to go help bring a calf last week in the middle of the night. Farmers care more about animals then any of these nutters could, for them it's a once a week thing or 9-5 but depending on animals to be your breadwinning is something totally different, would be counter productive to abuse them.
I'm seeing this, and laughing me a** off, after eating 1 pound of ground beef. And before anybody says anything, ground beef contains every nutrient a body needs to survive. Plants dont
Why do vegans want their fake meat to taste like meat? You'd think they'd find it repulsive. I knew a vegan who wouldn't even wear wool because she said that shearing sheep hurt the sheep. I knew a sheep shearer....watched him many times. I never saw one sheep get hurt.
What actually hurts sheep is when they're not shorn. They were bred to produce much more wool than wild ones do and not shed it. They get horribly overgrown and suffer. Same with llamas.
And the funny thing is vegetables taste great when you arent trying to force them to be something they're not
Great video! And it also disproves your theory that humans have a natural desire to hunt as if we did, supermarkets would not sell meat and we would hunt it ourselves. But as we have no desire to hunt, people who eat meat get it from Costco….
The argument is laughably weak on every conceivable level.
In grade school, we were taught the circle of life. Meaning that life eating life to thrive is completely normal. We were also taught that humans are at the top of the food chain (also, humans being at the top doesn't mean given the chance the lion won't eat you as well it is simply hungry). And we were all okay with this. Wtf has happened to the public and private school systems (I went to both, and they have both fallen on their faces completely).
@@forsnuggles I think you are totally missing the point. In nature, life eats life and we accept that. Even as someone who doesn’t eat meat, I have no problem with lions eating deer etc. It doesn’t make it ok to gas pigs and cows to death though. Because you are ‘top of the food chain’, it doesn’t mean that you have the right to be cruel to anything below.
@@Audioremedy0785 You use animal products from gassed cows and pigs though.
Why do you use animal products needlessly (that means possible and practicable to avoid) while only pretending to be against it?
We both know you will never answer so I will just take the win and your concession.
@@SteversChed I have explained it loads of times. I am against the idea of animal products being used where not necessary. Such as for diet and for clothing for example. Whilst you have lovingly copied and pasted repeatedly over the last few weeks you are still yet to give a decent example of what you mean. And the rubbish you are writing implies that I claim to be flawless.
You can have an another try if you want to. But it must be exhausting swinging and missing repeatedly.
@@Audioremedy0785 Many things are made with animal products.
Asphalt, some types of money, motor vehicles, electronics with processors, some housing materials, etc...
How did you needlessly reply on this avoidable entertainment platform which is made with animal products without using something with a processor? Smoke signals?
You're still evading the question...
Thanks for the easy win and your concession.
