lebron is right, victor is an alien..
Can’t wait. This guys brain is way deeper than I imagined
I have no idea what the hell anybody is saying here. Totems and the universe probably aren't the questions I'd ask a basketball player.🤔
That was so incredibly profound. I got chills. With a mindset like that anyone can be empowered to accomplish anything they decide to. Beautiful stuff.
JJ your question is too long plz make it less than 15 seconds
God, please let this kid have a career with minimal injury. What a gem! 🚀
Why bring up any injury at all I don't understand you people in this negative mindset. I know you're playing against it but I also see people saying the same thing why jinx it why have any inkling of that happening
@@29krazyk players over 7 feet are more injury prone and have shorter careers statistically and history shows it.
He's going to struggle to stay on the court with that frame
@@29krazykfacts don’t care about your feelings
just a porzingis 2.0. Wemby is gona be the biggest bust hype ever😂😂
“I wish I was free in the universe”
“You are”
Thats it. Thats the moment. This kid not only has immense, unconditional confidence in what he can do, he just went out of his way to instill that confidence in JJ. Just with that little line. Damn.
He's gonna have a long career and it's gonna be something special to watch man
Big facts. I thought the same thing.
Ordering a Wendy jersey rn 😅
@@jammingpenguin2151I really hope so. People that tall normally don’t stay healthy sadly. Hoping for the best because he is going to be amazing to watch.
I am sure JJ does not feel entirely “free in the universe” because I am sure he feels some restraint or bondage to many obligations that he and most all of have, regardless of level of success.
You definitely came in your pants 👖
Love the moment when JJ realizes that Wemby might be not only be a generational talent - which he has to prove and I hope he’ll do - but before all a bright and exceptionally smart guy.
😅😅😅 doubt it
Yeah! You white folks always seems to think you all are the smartest ones in the room.
I love how he realizes he went too deep into the life teaching moment and sort of humbly apologized. Vic, as a French compatriot, I will root for you. Break the league!!
As an American, we root for him also. Hope he stays healthy and reaches his potential.
Basically he doesn’t feel pressure because the pressure being put on him because the pressure is simply related to basketball and he knows his life is bigger than basketball, I respect that 💪🏽
🔥🔥🔥
Similar to Jokic but what's more impressive is that he has all this pressure and huge expectations right at the start. Jokic had to work hard to earn everyone's respect and accolades. Both are still very likable though and I do hope future top draftees are like this and don't let the hype get into their head.
That and I think he really doesn’t care what people expect of him. Because with that comes the pressure of trying to live up to their expectations. Bring free is doing you regardless of what they want you to be.
@@WhizoRizup bro sounds like the exact opposite of kd in Some manners💀 also believe he feels no pressure because he believes in the amount of work he has put in his game so it comes easy to him. Players in the league should take note (cough cough ben simmons🤣) 3:20 !!!!!!
Thats the european mindset. In the States, people make these people stars, make them feel like gods. So much so, that theyll start to lose themselves.
Can't wait for the full interview, big props for booking him JJ.

i think he’d be tall for any age
@@Daggermouth8kre read what he wrote my boy
I think this is also society learning from the previous generations' mistakes and his parents and coaches knowing what situation they're dealing with. I mean, this of course speaks volumes of how aware and mature his parents were raising him but I don't think it would be the same 20 years ago.
And I just thought of LeBron and how he was thurst into stardom at such young age in an era where people were still realtively unaware of the perils of a celebrity lifestyle, where conditioning was not as advanced as it is now and how he handled and still handles himself - his life and career - and I have nothing but immense respect for the man.
I hope Victor ends up having a great and successful career. So far, he scored a bingo on draft lottery night which sets him up pretty great for multi-faceted player development.

the fact that he’s so mature and articulate even though english is completely a second language is crazy. wishing him the best, and this video gives me confidence that he’ll be who we all want him to be. almost all nba player have the skill, it’s the mindset that separates the good from the great.
I got the feel after listening to him that he truly in his soul believes he will be great and everything in his life that has happened thus far is “just another part of the story.” He truly believes one day he will reach the pinnacle of basketball because that’s the place in the universe he was born to be in.
I appreciate and applaud his way of living life and I hope to see him achieve his goal.
It's not just that he believes he'll get there, but he understands the drive and work needed to get there, that's always the difference between the talented players and the great ones. How important is it to them to get better, to push themselves further. Hoping for the best for him.

What a special human. A breath of fresh air. We get so attuned to American culture that when we see Giannis, Jokic and now Victor, it's a real shock to the ideology.
The GM of the Spurs told you so… it wasn't just the basketball player that attracted them, but also the person, and his limitless potential if the universe left him free from any serious worries or injuries.

The french do black people dirty though
It's all about the parents, they set the fundamental values and principles that act as pushing off points for decision-making that ultimately defines character. So stoked to see him play in the NBA and to watch him reach his potential as a player.
Not always lol there are situations where kids got sub par parents of only one parent but still have the same mindset
Your parents cannot prepare you for being worth 60 million dollars by 21. They just can’t. They can’t prepare you for having tens of thousands of people cheer or boo you. It’s unavoidable to be impacted by being a sports sensation. Let’s just be real about it as fans.
