    This is why I laugh when all the ex-NBA players say that Wemby will want to leave San Antonio because it is a small city and there's no "night life". Wemby is the product of a two parent household that has prepared him for years. He isn't a punk who suddenly got his bag. Dude has a competitive heart that is hard to find in superstar NBA players. He wants to win. He's going to make bank, but he's not going to make it rain at strip clubs and buy out bars. He's not looking for a Hollywood career. He wants to be great. He'll find it easier to do that in San Antonio where people leave him be.
    In San Antonio, Tim Duncan and Manu can go to HEB and do their shopping and people are respectful. The media isn't adversarial. San Antonio is the perfect place for a player to be his best.

    • @dave474c
      @dave474c 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      But like you said, he wants to win. Badly. If SA don't get the right pieces around him he's gone.
      Wemby's 2nd contract is possibly if not likely to be the biggest in NBA history. He will sign with a contender. If SA ain't that at the time, well, they had their chance.

Of course but they’re young and learning a team first ball movement offensive system they all miss each other every once in a while but people put our clips of his teammates missing him and they run with a narrative. I’ve watched almost every minute of every spurs game for the last 20 years and I can assure you this team has great chemistry and you can tell they enjoy playing with each other but people always try to cause division cause they know once these young guys get it together that’s the only way they’re going to be able to beat them

      @@PedroHernandez-ie2cx You are so right about this. He touched the ball a lot, especially for a rookie. What people who don't watch the games never see is all the wild threes he takes at the beginning of the shot clock, the errant passes he makes, the times he dribbles it off his foot or the defender steals it from him because he is still figuring out how to safely dribble in the NBA, you know, rookie stuff. Which is fine, it's all part of growth. But he definitely touched the ball enough for his rookie season 😂

      @vainstainesguerra3817 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      nah this happened before the season starts, i dont think that they are ignoring him, they are just not acustomed with wemby at the start of the season, they improved on finding him as the season goes, i think its just chemistry issues and this players lacking good basic fundamentals

      I watched almost all the games, though, and it is hard to believe that NBA players just can't find a 7'4" wide open monster.
      It was so bad, particularly early this season, that opposing teams' announcers were calling out the Spurs for it.
      Given how terrible that team is, though, maybe you're right.

    • @bradleylovej
      @bradleylovej 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@_drawkward_ You also have to understand that Victor is a rookie. He would look great one minute, then not so good the next. He had a LOT of turnovers. You said you watched the games, remember all the errant 3's, the risky passes he made that turned the ball over, all the times the defender picked his pocket because he wasn't used to the NBA?
      I'm pretty sure Gregg did Wemby a favor and told the Spurs NOT to focus on getting him the ball, especially early on. When you're new at something, it helps a lot if you can have time to adjust and not the whole team breathing down your neck to be a super star right out of the gate. Pop knows what he's doing. He's the best active coach in the NBA.
