I just found you after trying to explain the Brethren to a Scientology protester in the US. I will share your handle next time. My Mum escaped after finishing her HSC. She had to fight to get to even get that far at school. I’m grateful every day not to have been born in but have trauma over the excommunication policies and what it did to my family.
I grew up in the cult also. My mom’s parents were their missionaries and just about everyone on that side of the family went to Emmaus at one point or another. Dad was in and out between the very small church and another fundamentalist baptist church, now he’s back in brethren. Mom has left the cult. I’m not gay but believe me I caught hell about every girl I chased and every music I listened to. I haven’t been back to the church since I was 18, almost 20 years now. Thru studying fundamentalist ideas and dispensationalism I’ve learned what a cult they are, inventing lies about the Bible.
I’m curious about when you left the plybs ? Where you kicked out. It’s good to tell people about this cult. Would you be a guest on Andrew Golds podcast. Called on the Edge. He does lots of Scientology and Mormons. I am longing for a PB to expose their so called Christian charity. I am a descendant of someone who left.
For those who find wisdom find life and receive favor from the Lord- Proverbs 8:35. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life- John 3:16. Our Daddy Jesus/God, please help (1) all people to live in Christ & close to Christ and (2) for ageism & age to be removed from medical, media & government notes. (3) the maximum age of people to be made 33+( as 33 is the age of Jesus death & resurrection & could be made the reference or benchmark age)
