I just received 4 UP03 19×9.5 with 265/40 Michelin PS4 sguare and have yet to replace the OEM staggered setup. Now, I can't wait. The UP 03s are beautiful.
Thank you! I have only tracked my 2023 tesla model 3 performance one time and it was at buttonwillow. great track. Thank you for testing different tires. I am probably going to get Pilot Sport 4 S for my next tires....

10.5 is not enough for 325 rear. Think that would be too wide for the car too. 275 or 285 front with 10.5" and 295 or 305 rear with 11" would probably be best. An 11" square setup might work too depending on clearance. I agree with you on 19" rims though, that's certainly going to perform better than 20".
I want to know if Unplugged Performance have any solution for the overheating that is happening - check 3:57, 10:35 and 12:32 for reference. I'm guessing that's impacting times by more than any benefit that lighter wheels or stickier tyres are bringing.
Thank you for the video! Do you reckon there would be any benefits with a 18" setup? Not sure how much more weight would be saved as the profile of the tire would increase to retain similar diameter! with the sways and stiffer springs the combo with the more grippy tires is for sure a great combo! (apart from all the alignment changes)
Best road legal track tyre here in the UK is the Nankang AR1 - about 7s quicker per lap than the stock. If you can get them in the states you should try them.
Will you guys consider adding 2 sway bars to this ride? One behind the front tires, and one mounted in the rear to complement the rear original mounted sway bar. Like this in the front [ ] front, and rear mounted like this ] [ . This really makes a big difference!

How much miles had the Pirelli P-Zeros on? I have noticed significant drop of grip between new (around 2.5k miles) when Misha got 1.6G in corners, then 1.4G (around 6.5k miles) and now, when I have just around 1.2G in corners (at 9k miles). Definitivelly will try out Michelin Pilot Sport 4S next. And perhaps Bridgestone Potenza Sport next year to see if there will be a difference to Michelins.
The Potenza Sport will run out very quick :(, especially on this car! I would alos have a look at Sportcontact 7, it comes in a lot of sizes specially in 19"
I'm Auto Crossing a Model 3P. And am wondering what PSI the Michelin 4S tires were running on this test. Does anyone have feedback on PSI range. And weather asphalt and concrete have different pressure requirements. Any input from actual testing would be appreciated.
How much tire can it fit inside those fenders without rolling them? F and R? I would get a set of those goofy skinny BMW i3 bicycle looks wheels for long range trips and stick on super fat sticky tires for daily duty cause why not and ofcourse track days!
Great comparison but I don’t think the wheels make a difference at all, it’s down to tires, regular tires vs the best tires can drop the lap time 4-5 seconds, 1 pound per wheel are not gonna make a difference really
Depends on if the wheels are smaller, smaller wheels can be a lot faster. Edit: seems like the wheels they replaced them with were not smaller though, still 20" ones.
The 1lb is fairly minor but helpful. The added width enables more contact patch and is further beneficial. Additionally, all wheels, including even forged wheels have some deflection when racing, the UP-03 wheels are built extremely tough (neither us nor a single customer has ever never bent one besides that one instance of us totaling our car at pikes peak). The point being rigidity can be felt to pro drivers and durability is also important for both pot holes and for racing abuse. In short, all of the above and the great importance of the tire itself is all true. The tire without a doubt plays a dominant role in lap times but is enabled by quality equipment (UP suspension, rigid wider wheels, etc) to do that job.
A smaller wheel has the weight of the drum closer to the center of rotation so they have less flywheel effect... But this test used giant just for looks size wheels just like Tesla did from the factory.
We need more! Bring it. Good job guys!

Awesome, glad you're loving the forged wheels. It'll ride great! Thanks for your support.
Do you see any huge range loss with those 265 tires?
This is what I needed to see, love the comparison between the two riders

Could you make a stock to stock 2023 vs 2024 M3P on track?
Some people have. The 2024 model is around 2 Seconds faster
1 lb diff on the wheels ain’t do nothing here. Wider stickier tires is all the difference
I recommend 19 x 10.5s, with 285s front, and 325s Rear! Run What Ya Brung!
Does the setup integrate without interfering with the stock settings?
10.5 is not enough for 325 rear.

Great Video and comparison 👍 Will definitely try the 4s on the M3P
Let us know how they feel!
nice video gents. What window tint dis you guys go with? Thank you.

Nice, thanks for sharing, plan to get these when my stocks need to be changed (will replace with winter tires and get these for the next season!)
Glad to help!
How did this car compare to 2019 model UP did with the square 19x10 square setup?
Thank you for the video!

The stock tires had less than 500 miles. We removed them day 1 and basically just put them back on to drive to the track for testing.
@@UnpluggedPerformanceTeslathanks, good to know, looking forward to Michelins 4S then. 😉

Are you telling me that you're going to have two different drivers of two massively different weights driving this vehicle‽
