Great shoutout for AA and indie games! This is a long side note, but I dont think people realize what budgets are like these days. The development costs of some AA games today exceed the cost of AAA games from even 10 years ago. Even indies, if you have a team of five developers working for three years, your production budget alone could be over a million. The vast majority of indies (that people have heard of) spend a lot on wages and marketing. I think solo and duo passion projects are the only games that can keep things under 250K.
Another KILLER video! I just love the style of your videos and it's cool to see you continue to making different types of content. One of the best AA games that not enough people talk about is Vampyr. It's a really cool vampire game (duh) that has a morality mechanic based on whether you give into your blood lust. I'd love to see you do a video on that game!
Am I a piece of sheet for still liking Halo, Saints Row, etc. among other AAA games from when there were better times from the 2000's to early 2010's but being so done with Halo Infinite and not wanting to eff with the Saints Row Reboot?
I totally agree with you and your point really highlights what I was talking about - Especially with franchises that have been around for a couple decades, you can see the decline over time. Halo and Saints Row are great examples of franchises that used to be great but have suffered from a lot of the things I was talking about. Halo becoming a live service??? WTF??? And Saints Row trying to appeal to everyone but ending up appealing to no one!

Great point! And the budgets will only continue to spiral out of control if without a change!
@@adamscottgames Absolutely! Glad your channel is here, shifting focus away from the behemoths, highlighting scrappier games.

Thanks! I love Vampyr, too! I'll have to add it to the list!
Great content as always sir 🤙
Awesome, thanks! 🤘
What's a gaming topic you want me to tackle next?

Am I a terrible person for still liking and playing Halo and Saints Row even if I hate what both franchises have become, yes or no?
Nah! Newer games are garbage but I have a lot of nostalgia for those franchises!
Thanks for watching! What is your favorite AA (or indie) game?
Plague Tale Innocence and Requiem!
@@Executi0ner246 Both are fantastic!
