Kingdom Come: Deliverance should be on this list. Yes, it was janky and full of bugs when it was first released, but for a Kickstarter-funded indie game with only a dozen devs starting out, it was pretty impressive, and it got better. The world is beautiful, looks realistic and feels alive (and you can literally go to the places in the game in real life, and much of it is the same), and the NPCs all have daily routines. You start out as basically an NPC with no skills (you're known to be a lazy slacker) and you essentially have to learn HEMA combat techniques to survive (none of the button mashing that is characteristic of so many other "hack and slash" games). The story is engaging, the side quests interesting (and sometimes funny), and this immersive game encourages you to just go exploring and see what you find. And you'll learn quite a bit about medieval history and customs along the way. Cannot wait for the sequel!

Surprised that Baldur 3 was not included, as for the past year most other games were being compared to it. If BG3 had not come out within a couple months of Starfield, then Starfield would probably have gotten a better rating, even.
BG3 is fantastic, no doubts, but I don't get the emotional impact from it that RDR2 offered. Starfield? I love the Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchises and had hopes for Starfield, but... frankly like most of space... it was empty and void of meaning. AND... building your own ship was a pain in the ass. Between artificial limitations and how the pieces fit together (or more importantly, didn't), it was a burden more than a joy.
an important one for me that you left off the list: Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. the narrative depth in the area of feeling more like a choose your own adventure book than any other video game before or since... so much can be said for this cult game including the real life references to politics and music still being relevant. the clan powers system... one of the sexiest vampire NPCs ever still to this day. (that also trips you out because she has a multiple personality disorder as she's a Malkavian, and Malkavians tend to be extra insane) the epic tale of the fanbase of modders that survived for two decades until the domain had the rug yanked out from under them (the original owner of the domain died some years back and nothing we could really do about it except back up as much data as possible to port to a future iteration) and the entire forum hosting the mod files was basically tossed in the dumpster. there's the saga of the developer Troika's demise, the game being somehow 'released' and judged for eternity as a cult classic without ever having been fully completed, and the story about the making of a sequel to that game, which is one of the most epic sagas in video game history as well- about 20 years on, and with two development companies later, plus a few years of nail biting and fingers crossed hoping that the project was not shelved indefinitely, still officially now slated for Q2-3 of 2025 (after them saying it was going to arrive late 2024 over a year ago lol! there's been more delays and setbacks on development of this game than any other game I can remember during my more than three decades of video gaming) this sequel Bloodlines II better be the best game you ever played in your life. don't mess it up chinese room! haha! think I only waited about 15 years for Diablo III, and 8 years on Cyberpunk 2077 to put it into perspective, and I have been waiting for Bloodlines 2 since the first game came out in 2004.
Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind was also the best $10 I ever randomly spent on a game I never heard of at Best Buy on the PC game shelf. if you're into modding, that game kind of reinvented the wheel sort of by creating a large persistent modding community, they were really the first of their kind and probably will be the last as well since it doesn't make money for the developers. was really sad when Neverwinter Online cancelled their Foundry system where players could generate their own dungeons and quests, that was the best feature they had going for that game, but they were also trying to monetize it and a portion of the money (because they started selling some of these new dungeons as a cash shop item) would go to the players whose home made dungeons got the most ratings... it quickly got out of hand with the attempt to monetize the usefulness of the modding community, kind of similar to a few other games where they are looking to absorb people's capacity to tax their bodies creating youtube content and the like for pennies or less while the devs sell what they make and keep all the profits themselves for things created by the users they are trying to farm free labor from whether knowingly or unwittingly
Its RDR2 for me. After 45 yrs of gaming and playing countless games, RDR2 is the most immersive and detailed ive ever played. Its all Ive played for the last 2 yrs. It truly is a masterpiece of a game.

You're in a very small minority of people who don't like it. Even the top gaming channels rate it as one of the best games ever made. But, I do understand its not a game for everyone. 65 million copies sold is incredible for a game, and its still selling very well for a game that's going on 7 yrs old. I still have my xbox 360 and PS2 and the western game with the 2 brothers you are referring to is called, Call of Juarez, bound in blood. I still have that game.
Witcher 3 is my favorite video game ever and the Wine and Blood add-on is an absolute MASTERPIECE. I play it every couple of years just to try different storylines and visit new places on the map. The Excalibur sword storyline is so amazing it just blew me away. A wonderful mix of mythology, history, and this amazing virtual world. If this ever came out in VR, I might retire there in my little chateau.
I think the Mass Effect trilogy is missing (I just comment this in another video of yours). This trilogy alongside The Witcher 3 really spoiled other games for me. Those are milestones in my games experiences. But your list is also very good. Cheers!
the problem with ME (unlike the games on this list) is no one attempted to replicate it. the thought of good and consequential writing for an entire series was too much of an endeavor for a lot of the AAA publishers.
I like Kingdom come - Deliverance. Once your brain align with your fingers , there’s no combat system more satisfying. Being with blades or blunt weapons , on foot or on horseback , or a hand to hand fight. The first time you actually hit an enemy the way you intended , single or combo , makes you feel like Conan the barbarian.
Absolutely stellar game!!!! I can't believe the dumbass game journalist kept me from buying that game until after it had been out for over a year and had went down to $29.99?!?!?!? I would have gladly paid full price for how good that damn game is?! 10/10 All the way for me! Didn't stop playing it until I had the platinum!!!!! (wish we could get a walking dead Game that was similar to it where you got to drive vehicles and everything and there were also vast expenses of countryside, mountains, and cities for you to explore...)
I agree Skyrim should have been higher on the list. Witcher is great but is still following in Skyrim's footsteps. I am glad to see it on there though! Now to just see them start remaking all these games for VR!
Baldurs Gate 3 should be here because of just how good the company who made it and how worth every penny this game is. I bought it before release for 40 bucks and got a 70 dollar game. Not only that the company held a stamdard that scared other companies. ❤
Elden Ring ruined open world games for me I hate all the question marks. Just randomly finding quests in Elden Ring was so good. I started Zelda a year later and put it down after a week same with Ghost of Tushima got it for PC recently and it’s great but it very much follows the standard open world template just can’t motivate myself to pick it up and I’m a massive fan of 70s Samurai films.
RDR2... the game has honest to god emotional impact. I'm 56... been playing RPGs since 7th grade and I've never had a character with anywhere near the emotional pull than Arthur Morgan. (Although, I absolutely hated the save system and how you could be stuck playing. There is a real world we live in and the game shouldn't force you to choose one over the other.)
I was kinda looking to see Horizon:zero dawn. I enjoyed and it really got me into RPG games and very little have matched up, even forbidden west was a let down after zero dawn. The attention to detail and the interaction with the environment, and storylines were amazing. The thing I'll never forget, well two things actually, 1. once i was crawling in tall grass avoiding enemies because my life was low and an arrow flew over my head, I panicked because I thought I was spotted, but the eye that lets you know when you're visible to enemies was closed so I thought it was a glitch but looked around to make sure and while looking around I saw some of the people from a settlement fighting a snapmaw and one of their arrows that missed went astray and stuck in the rock near where I was. I was blow away. 2. Then a short wile later I climbed a very tall mountain and fought glinthawk. I killed it very close to the edge of the mountain then walked into it so it would fall. When I was done with what I was doing on the mountain and went down the glinthawk I pushed down was there laying at the bottom of the mountain. I loved the attention to detail very much. Enjoyed that game fully. I was sad because I never got the "frozen wilds" extension to work but it was the best for me. Very few RPG games pay that much attention to detail and interaction with the environment. Been looking for one that comes close to it ever since so I'll be checking out some on this list. But I have to agree with @mrheyzeus. To put Fortnite on the list is a bit audacious.
Final Fantasy X is the best game. By far the best leveling system ever implemented in any RPG. Great story and so much extra content and blitzball. Summons were amazing and so were all of the party characters. I've never enjoyed a game more.

For me personally, that game is Outriders. All games just pale in story, gameplay, classes and abilities, weapons. Fantastic and criminally underrated.
No Death Stranding, All God of Wars, All Spidermans, Days gone, Border lands, Horizon Forbidden West & Zero Dawn, Last of us part 1 & 2, Detroit becoming Human, Hitman, Devil May Cry, Fallout, Resident Evil, Star Wars Jedi, Assassins Creeds, Far Cry 4,5,6 , Metal Gears Series, Bioshock, Atomic Heart... Damn just to name some off the top of my head that were killer games that I recommend everyone play.
There's always more. I can further think of the Dark Souls series, both Ori's, the last two Zelda games or a list of classic RPG and adventure games. Thankfully there is always something to play and enjoy.
I can't take a list seriously that doesn't have Days Gone, Fallout 3, and 4, BioShock, RDR2 or HL2 on it. The list should been titled "MY 17 Single Player games... etc"
It's funny you placed Zelda Breath of the Wild on this list. I remember playing and then playing Nier Automata, followed by Horizon Zero Dawn and Nier Automata is the game that really shattered all my expectations
Was looking for someone to mention Nier Automata that was by far the best game of 2017 and truly one of the best games ever made. From the story, gameplay (platinum games 🤤) to the music the game was absolute perfection
This list is a little bit RPG heavy. From my long gaming career, i remember the following games that left a mark and that i completed multiple times: Amnesia: The Dark Descent Assassin’s Creed 2 + Black Flag Bioshock Crysis Defense Grid Duke Nukem 3D Dune 2 Fallout 3 Frostpunk Gothic 1+2+3 Half-Life 1+2 Kingdom Come: Deliverance Mass Effect 2 Metro 2033 + Exodus Orcs Must Die 2 Ori and the Blind Forest Portal Quake R-Type Rune Secret of Monkey Island Severance: Blade of Darkness Soma Starcraft 2 Talos Principle 1+2 The Room Unreal Warcraft 3 Xenon 2 Yoshi's Island
Battlefront 2 , old as hell, but possibly could make a list like this if it was bigger. It put all the other Star Wars games down two notches. Force Unleashed was good
Best game I've ever played, and i have multiple consoles, and PC but NOTHING to this day has blown me away like the Half Life 2 and it's expansions....probably my most replayed were Skyrim and Metal Gear Solid 4, as far as newer games BOTW, Nier Automata, Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 of course, some memorable campaigns that don't get talked about enough are Enslaved Odyssey to the West, Spec Ops the Line, Hitman Absolution, Splinter Cell Blacklist (both black sheep games that were VERY unfairly judged by being different from the others in the series) Super Mario Galaxy games, Persona 3 FES, F.E.A.R. and expansions, Bioshock Infinite, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, Unreal Tournament 2004, Castlevania Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness if weren't Castlevania games would be FAR higher rated, Legacy of Kain Defiance, Hotline Miami games, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs 2, Metro 2033 and Last Light, Final Fantasy X, GTA IV, Fallout 3 never gets the credit it deserves, Dying Light and expansion still is one of the Best ever, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Crysis Warhead, Borderlands 2, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, Battlefield 3 campaign, Assassin's Creed 2,Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, I could go on forever 😀 👍 Favorite NPC Chocalina FFXIII-2 😍😍🤣🤣
Many of these games I haven't played yet. I beaten Skyrim and the Arkham trilogy but that's about it on this list. I'm a fan of jrpgs so my picks are Eternal Sonata I was blown away with how good this game was, beautiful visuals (for its time, totally unique story, a great sound track and great characters. Lost Odyssey was another amazing jrpg with a great story, memory sequences that were really well written, also looked great for its time. The Walking Dead Series and Life is Strange, the narrative of both games kept me invested with memories of each game having a lasting impression well after completing them. But the walking sim aspect won't appeal to everyone.
Prey (2017) is like this for me. After playing it I friggin scoured the internet to find something similar and failed. I guess the only same'ish feel came from RE1+RE2. I like the claustrophobic "I'm trapped in this environment and I need to get out" theme. So posting this in the hope someone has something for me :(
Someone else did a video like this and you hit waaaaay more "perfect" games than the other guy. I haven't played all the games on your list and i haven't finished Black Myth but you definitely have an eye for unforgettable games. Now im interested in the games i haven't played on your list.
RDR2, the connection dumbfounds me still today. When Arthur died, even knowing it was coming, I just sat there, no interest to keep playing. Still not finished. I just put it away with some respect like a funeral.
GOD OF WAR! There was nothing like it before, and there will be nothing like it again. I mean, you were damned to Hades, and fought your way out. You killed Icarus, titans, and Zeus himself. There was so much to do, and so many things to figure out. And the combat, with the weapon upgrades. It makes me want to fire up my 60 GB PS3 and start from the beginning again.
Halo: Combat Evolved OR Halo 3, both redefined FPS games, Halo: CE for its functionality, basically every FPS game borrowed the formula and Halo 3 showed the world what an FPS game online could do.
I would add: Sid Meiers Pirates / Railroads / Gettysburg (far better than any version of Civ) Far Cry 1 and 2 (total surprises then) Deus Ex Series Dishonored Series Fallout Series Mafia Series Splinter Cell Series Sniper Elite Series The Saboteur Thief Series Velvet Assassin (real WW2 woman assassin) U-Boat and Silent Hunter Headquarters WW2 and Classified France 44 Ultimate Admiral and General Thanks for the list. I don’t think they ruined any games for me if anything they’ve put me off open world games to many question marks. Resident evil was the 1st game that made me scared and FF7 1st to make me shed a tear.
I thought days gone was better than the last of us!!!! I'm speaking gameplay, story, graphics, cinematics, and fun factor basically speaking where everything overall is concerned. I definitely enjoyed days gone, on a similar level to how good I enjoyed the Witcher three? However I have beat the Witcher three about six times now, and I only ever beat the last of us and days gone once, but I did platinum days gone on my first run because I loved it so much and was absolutely immersed in it!!!
Well, to me, GOW and GTA3 shocked my teen game world, RDR crashed my college gaming heart, Skyrim dominated my postgraduate mind. Then Witcher3 and GA5 refined my First Job gaming world, until EdRing in my New Dad era, but now, Black Myth. Oh, just to mention, MINECRAFT ruined every other games in one way or another😆
Yep, i can't stand watching cutscenes or dialogue in any other game since i played bg3. BG3 is like going to the best theater performance available, whereas most other games are tantamount a school play performed by 8 year olds. Even the games with better voice acting like eg RDR2 don't come close to BG3.
Ive been playing since pong and Read Dead Redemption 2 has no equal, others are good like Skyrim and Witcher 3 but it is still the best you can find today.
Elite: Dangerous is the game that completely made all other games not matter to me. Picked it up 10 years ago and i still havent figured out how to really play any other game. Theres just so much there and you can get it for less than 20 bucks these days. Yes, its a much harder game than most to grasp but after 60,000 hours played with no signs of slowing down and theres more content to come after 10 full years what else can i say. Find me another game like that and ill have to play that one out too.
RDR2 is ny favorite of all the above! But why no mention of Starfield? With all the updates and quality of life improvements it's become a pretty awesome game.
A lot of people are of course saying RDR2 . But I would venture to say that the orginal Red Dead Redemption should also be listed as one of the greatest.
I spent a lot of time playing the first Red Dead Redemption, the second one to me just wasn't the same. Batman Arkham gets REALLY good once you have the ability to use Catwoman in gameplay, there ain't another in game character on any console video game like her on that game. I will agree on GTA 5, hopefully GTA 6 when-ever we finally get it will be able to live up to it's predecessor...
Its old AF, but Perfect Dark for N64 belongs on here. It set a bunch of standards for all future FPS games, and was the first to have AI opponents for the multiplayer mode.
Not played GoT or BMW. I beat Dying Light 1 six times and Death Stranding twice and I didn't want to play anything else for a month after each of those games. Nothing came close to those two gaming experiences. The free flowing parkour was amazing. While the other game was so left field gameplay with narrative wise. Only the mind of Kojima could drum up that level of odd, weird and strange and make it all work.
RDR2 was like that, for some time every game i played after just felt empty, Mass Effect was another one, absolute masterpiece in storytelling, another game that doesnt get mentioned a lot and its by no means a aaa title but it will leave you feeling emotinally drained is Life is Strange.
To not mention Dark Souls here seems like a bit of a joke because after playing any of the souls games I’ve literally not been able to play anything else for years - which has led to me not playing ANYTHING waiting for a new release
Skyrim… Skyrim changed everything to me at the time. I have yet to get as immersed in a game. Obviously there are better games by nearly every measure now…but Skyrim at the time was so far ahead of everything else. Gran Turismo had (and continues to have) way more impact on racing than Forza (though I thoroughly enjoy it as well). Uncharted was a standout. Many of these games I haven’t played. Elden Ring has me pretty enamored right now, kind of surprised that’s not on the list.

The only one who got bored and quit Uncharted after the second one because it seemed like all the stories were the same you fight to find the treasure you find out its cursed you destroy it
Elden Ring set the standard for all open world action games. The size and quality is unmatched. Everything else is dated in comparison. RD2 is equally amazing but a different type of game.
GTAV single player was great, but had almost no replayability. Online was crap with all the hackers, and the 3rd party online mods are either excessively buggy or gatekeeping/white listed. Zelda has been over-sequeled for 30 years. The rest of the games listed are the same thing, great game on initial play through but no reason to go back, ever. I think this list is the idea of them ruining other games, when really other games don't have enough play or story to hold us through a single play through.
The audacity to put Fortnite even on this list makes me lose hope in humanity.

AND... building your own ship was a pain in the ass.
It truly is a masterpiece of a game.
that old? i about same age. couldnt stand the game. more i played the more i loathed loading into it. and i love old western games. Skull i think it was from ps2 days. xbox 360 had pretty cool one where u play as 2 brothers.
rd2 is just shit imo. sure it looks nice, lots to do. but story, feel, all so boring and shit. i just wanted to shoot the disc the game loaded on and be done with it.

65 million copies sold which puts it in 7th place of the highest selling video games of all time. Its Rockstars 2nd highest selling game, only beat by GTA5.
I was with you until you said "even the top gaming channels...", yuck.@@partlycloudy9443
Same. Everything I play will always be compared to ME.
@jaives Right? ME was about relationships more than anything, and most games don't even try to have interesting characters and adult relationships.
Mass effect was great!
Days Gone was a great game.
Yeah days gone was incredible
Top 3 favorite games I've ever played
Playing it currently for the first time. It's a good game, but I'm not getting why so many people talk it up quite so hard.
@stevenscott2136 wait until you've finished 😂 some people I've talked to it just wasn't for them. To each there own
Skyrim
Witcher 3
Baldur's Gate 3
God of War: Ragnarok
Assassins Creed (Vikings)
Red Dead Redemption 2
Pretty much in that order.
No Elden ring is crazy 😂
Which game did it ruin for you? The Souls-like genre?
I agree it shouldn't be on the list. It didn't ruin anything, in fact it made me appreciate other games that are similar but that aren't as difficult
@@PlayHunters_ it ruined combat games for me. Idk how you have this list without elden ring. But you glaze gta5
Elden ring is a souls like clone, that is all it is. There is nothing special about it.
The last of us was hands down the biggest, heart wrenching emotion roller-coaster I've ever had in a game.
RDR2... the game has honest to god emotional impact. I'm 56... been playing RPGs since 7th grade and I've never had a character with anywhere near the emotional pull than Arthur Morgan.
I will say that was one of my favorites!
@@shayorestad5444 10 is my second least favourite after 13. The characters are shit and the story is boring and on rails the voice acting was crap too.
@@CaptainSkylocke you must have played a different game than me because everything you said is incorrect
Final fantasy 7 made the biggest impact on me as a kid and ignited my love for games
I'm not sure if it was that or the one before or after, but I believe it was the first rpg that I had palyed and just like yourself, I was amazed!
Final fantasy was a redefining genre, and FF7 was awsome pick, (the original, not the remake, that seems over hiped a bit).
FF7 had one of the best storylines ever. That and FF10 where the best.
@@eyeq7730 Was it on Nintendo (FF to FFVI) or Playstation (FFVII and later)? It might not tell you if it was 7 or 8 but it will tell you if it was 6 or not. and HOW can you forget which one it was... VII was a revelation and basically started the "new era" of JRPG's, VIII was "just" a new FF
Mine was Pong.
I'd add AC Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla to the list. I love their stories and open worlds.
Excelent list. I would add:
- Shadows of War
- Days Gone
- Metal Gear Solid V - Phantom Pain
- Horizon Zero Down
- Death Stranding
For me personally, that game is Outriders. All games just pale in story, gameplay, classes and abilities, weapons. Fantastic and criminally underrated.
I would have replaced Days Gone with Dark Souls games. But other than that. That list was spot on.
Great to hear you go into some depth on each game. I'll definitely be checking out some from the video
This just proves you can’t read titles or that you didn’t watch the video at all.
Far cry 3 really got me hooked, couldn’t put the controller down until I finished it
I can't take a list seriously that doesn't have Days Gone, Fallout 3, and 4, BioShock, RDR2 or HL2 on it. The list should been titled "MY 17 Single Player games... etc"
Great list !! I recommend so many of these games
It's funny you placed Zelda Breath of the Wild on this list. I remember playing and then playing Nier Automata, followed by Horizon Zero Dawn and Nier Automata is the game that really shattered all my expectations
Nier is on another level, it basically ruined all of gaming for me
@@andytpatt I feel you buddy!
Was looking for someone to mention Nier Automata that was by far the best game of 2017 and truly one of the best games ever made. From the story, gameplay (platinum games 🤤) to the music the game was absolute perfection
RDR2 and W3 are the best among the rest... HZD also is a great game but sad it is not included in the list.
Kingdom come deliverance and Mass Effect trilogy my favorites also
Great games
GTA, RdR and uncharted are the GOATS
Witcher 3❤❤❤❤❤top best ❤❤❤ Skyrim also and RDR2❤❤❤Top of all time 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
This list is a little bit RPG heavy. From my long gaming career, i remember
the following games that left a mark and that i completed multiple times:
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Assassin’s Creed 2 + Black Flag
Bioshock
Crysis
Defense Grid
Duke Nukem 3D
Dune 2
Fallout 3
Frostpunk
Gothic 1+2+3
Half-Life 1+2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Mass Effect 2
Metro 2033 + Exodus
Orcs Must Die 2
Ori and the Blind Forest
Portal
Quake
R-Type
Rune
Secret of Monkey Island
Severance: Blade of Darkness
Soma
Starcraft 2
Talos Principle 1+2
The Room
Unreal
Warcraft 3
Xenon 2
Yoshi's Island
The only game I've played for years, is Kingdom come Deliverance, the best game I have ever played
Good reference on what to buy next. But thankfully I have ai think atleast half of these list 😁
Can you do best third person shooter single player?
PS3 Tomb Raiders was a classic too
Missing Armored Core From Software, but i digress. As for Black Myth it reminds me of PS2 Beyond Good and Evil
Battlefront 2 , old as hell, but possibly could make a list like this if it was bigger. It put all the other Star Wars games down two notches. Force Unleashed was good
Best game I've ever played, and i have multiple consoles, and PC but NOTHING to this day has blown me away like the Half Life 2 and it's expansions....probably my most replayed were Skyrim and Metal Gear Solid 4, as far as newer games BOTW, Nier Automata, Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 of course, some memorable campaigns that don't get talked about enough are Enslaved Odyssey to the West, Spec Ops the Line, Hitman Absolution, Splinter Cell Blacklist (both black sheep games that were VERY unfairly judged by being different from the others in the series) Super Mario Galaxy games, Persona 3 FES, F.E.A.R. and expansions, Bioshock Infinite, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, Unreal Tournament 2004, Castlevania Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness if weren't Castlevania games would be FAR higher rated,
Legacy of Kain Defiance, Hotline Miami games, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs 2, Metro 2033 and Last Light, Final Fantasy X, GTA IV, Fallout 3 never gets the credit it deserves, Dying Light and expansion still is one of the Best ever, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Crysis Warhead, Borderlands 2, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, Battlefield 3 campaign, Assassin's Creed 2,Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, I could go on forever 😀 👍
Favorite NPC Chocalina FFXIII-2 😍😍🤣🤣
Great observations 🔥🔥
Well narrated bro
I enjoyed your vid
Days gone is a 100% top game, one of the best imo
More please
I'm glad you liked it. Days Gone is really good, maybe one day it'll get a sequel. Hope is the last thing to die 😂.
Would be good to have footnotes of what systems these games are on.
Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas is all ways off your lists but Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games all time
Spiderman has to be an honorable mentions
Prey (2017) is like this for me. After playing it I friggin scoured the internet to find something similar and failed. I guess the only same'ish feel came from RE1+RE2. I like the claustrophobic "I'm trapped in this environment and I need to get out" theme. So posting this in the hope someone has something for me :(
Someone else did a video like this and you hit waaaaay more "perfect" games than the other guy. I haven't played all the games on your list and i haven't finished Black Myth but you definitely have an eye for unforgettable games. Now im interested in the games i haven't played on your list.
fun drinking game, take a shot everytime this guy says engaged. Stopped counting at 1,857,953,254,782,145,625
The alcohol coma achievement will be unlocked successfully 😂😂😂
Damn bro. You must have been engaged to this video
Take 2 shots for redefined.
Wait I was drinking on redefined LMFAO 🤣
typical chatgpt script and he didnt even take the time to alter it.
Fallout, Borderlands, a few I find pretty fun. MMOs of course.
Hitman World of Assassination is more than worthy of a spot.
I would add:
Sid Meiers
Pirates / Railroads / Gettysburg
(far better than any version of Civ)
Far Cry 1 and 2 (total surprises then)
Deus Ex Series
Dishonored Series
Fallout Series
Mafia Series
Splinter Cell Series
Sniper Elite Series
The Saboteur
Thief Series
Velvet Assassin (real WW2 woman assassin)
U-Boat and Silent Hunter
Headquarters WW2 and Classified France 44
Ultimate Admiral and General
Thanks for the list.
Regards
Great suggestions, my friend, all awesome games.
I don’t think they ruined any games for me if anything they’ve put me off open world games to many question marks.
Resident evil was the 1st game that made me scared and FF7 1st to make me shed a tear.
🔥🔥
Facts! Final fantasy was great!
RDR2 is literally epic, without doubt the greatest game ever made
RDR2 is the hands down video game GOAT. I’ve played hundreds and hundreds of hours and still find new things to crack me up. Witcher III in 2nd place.
Maffia 3 should be on here
I thought days gone was better than the last of us!!!!
Oh, just to mention, MINECRAFT ruined every other games in one way or another😆
Baldur's Gate should have been there
Yep, i can't stand watching cutscenes or dialogue in any other game since i played bg3. BG3 is like going to the best theater performance available, whereas most other games are tantamount a school play performed by 8 year olds. Even the games with better voice acting like eg RDR2 don't come close to BG3.
dude his chatgpt only has data up to 2022 or so.
Why? 😂😂😂 game is trash
Id say the one you missed was GR wildlands. Was a true game changer.
Have you ever heard of Blade of Darkness? Combat mechanics is so good for a 2001 game!
60k?! are you kidding me?!
Mass effect series was the most impactful for me.
RDR2 is ny favorite of all the above! But why no mention of Starfield? With all the updates and quality of life improvements it's become a pretty awesome game.
RDR and RDR2. Nothing comes close 🧡❤️
Yesss
A lot of people are of course saying RDR2 . But I would venture to say that the orginal Red Dead Redemption should also be listed as one of the greatest.
I would love a remaster of The Witcher 3.
me too
I spent a lot of time playing the first Red Dead Redemption, the second one to me just wasn't the same. Batman Arkham gets REALLY good once you have the ability to use Catwoman in gameplay, there ain't another in game character on any console video game like her on that game. I will agree on GTA 5, hopefully GTA 6 when-ever we finally get it will be able to live up to it's predecessor...
What about For Honor, or Assassin's Creed: Syndicate & Black Flag, or Dragonball Z: Kakarot? I've always loved Shadows of Colossus.
Its old AF, but Perfect Dark for N64 belongs on here.
It set a bunch of standards for all future FPS games, and was the first to have AI opponents for the multiplayer mode.
Perfect Dark as it is a great game is also a clone of Golden Eye 007.
@@checko_o7524 it was made by the same developers as Goldeneye.
I played RDR2 after Baldur's Gate 3 while playing Deep Rock Galactic....those three right there made me stop looking at other games.
Mass Effect, BioShock, Crysis... Your list was good but missed a lot of important titles.
this video needed to be limited to a a decade at a time
Thank you for the list. I would add Nier Automata and Bayonetta. I keep playing them now and then.
I'm glad you liked it, both games you suggested are very good
In fact, I included Bayonetta in today's video, with forgotten but amazing games
RDR2 was like that, for some time every game i played after just felt empty, Mass Effect was another one, absolute masterpiece in storytelling, another game that doesnt get mentioned a lot and its by no means a aaa title but it will leave you feeling emotinally drained is Life is Strange.
Fantastic list of top tier insights of these games!!!!!!
Thanks 🔥🔥🔥
Playing Skyrim when it came out was a game-changer, the game was a masterpiece in every sense.
Blood and wine had the most surprisingly difficult boss battle I have ever encountered.
I spent a long time on that vampire at the end 😂. But I really got stuck on that damn frog at the beginning of the other DLC 😂😂
@@PlayHunters_that frog was rough lmao
@@PlayHunters_ I thought I had mastered the combat with a mix of dodge, parry, sword, magic and bombs all flowing in harmony and them 2 enemies reduced me to sprint and spam roll lol
That haunted-house in Heart of Stone that ends with six Everics, each tougher than the last....
Red Dead Redemption so far it is the GOAT of all games.
Yesss
Snowrunner should be in this list. It's a reference for truck, offroad, crane and transportation simulation. I can not imagine going back to other truck simulators after playing for now more than 600 hours.
I didn't know about this one, but it seems interesting. I'll check it out later. Thanks for the recommendation, my friend.
@@PlayHunters_ awesome list of games yours. I'll revisit this video when I do not know what to play . I am from 16 Bit console generation and lost track for games from 2006 until 2022, so I did not know about how these games impacted the whole industry.
Skyrim is the one game for me. I have clocked about 70,000 to 80k hours since the day that game came out in November 11 2011
I know people who have way more Skyrim is the undefeated game you can not beat the game it's impossible
The only one who got bored and quit Uncharted after the second one because it seemed like all the stories were the same you fight to find the treasure you find out its cursed you destroy it
RDR2 takes some beating.
When Arthur Morgan died I felt disappointed and cheated at the same time
So good they ruin other games. Thats a perfect way to put it. Rdr2 and witcher3 in my book
Elden Ring set the standard for all open world action games. The size and quality is unmatched. Everything else is dated in comparison. RD2 is equally amazing but a different type of game.
Excellent collections !!
Thanks 🔥
Black myth wokong is here but elden ring is not??? Its wild.
God of War, Street Fighter, and Final Fantasy 7
Metal Gear and Fallout would make my list.
Yea u can’t have a list like this without dark souls or elden ring games that literally started its own genre you know souls like 😂
The game that started the Souls ike genre was Demon's Souls.
But both are great games as well.
@@PlayHunters_ yea I know I meant soul games in general
