Hi Richie, Thelma has now arrived so I made my first dish today - this chicken with tomato and basil! I have to agree with you insofar as it’s not the tastiest dish - and I even added tomato purée at your suggestion. I think perhaps mine didn’t have enough seasoning - and there’s enough of this to feed an army so guess what I’ll be eating for the next few days or so!! I am now making the vegetable stock paste - fingers crossed this will work well. Keep the videos coming - they’re fab x
@Toria Summers - Hello there. I’m glad Thelma has arrived! Mine is called Phil 😍 You’ll discover you’ll find your touch when seasoning a lot of these recipes. I like to get my seasoning on meet before it cooks. A lot of recipes ask you to season after you’ve added the sauce for example. I think this is too late. Really happy you’ve cooked your first dish though. You’ll find recipes you’ll cook time and time again. Most of the dishes freeze well too. I’ll most certainly keep up the vides. Thanks for your lovely comment x 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@@RichieTheFoodie I love the name for your Thermie! I will know in future to season more than recipes suggest and will take on board your tip about seasoning meat before cooking. i’m going to make the sweet potato curry with cauliflower rice tomorrow and also the lemon drizzle cake - for someone that’s just out of hospital having had a major operation, I don’t think that’s too bad! Keeps me out of mischief! i’ve also edited my settings to only select recipes with a 4 or 5 star rating!
@@toriasummers2670 Be careful you don’t over season though 😀 Like I said, you’ll get a feel for the recipes. What a coincidence! I was thinking of cooking and filming the sweet potato curry. You’ll have to let me know how it turns out. Is sure looks like you’ll enjoy your journey with Thelma! 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF

When you are surfing the recipes and decide to make one of them, is there an option to make fewer portions? I live alone, so 800g chicken would be a bit much for me. And thank you so much for making these videos! I've soon watched all of them and can feel the purchase is getting closer by the video...
@intermarer - that’s a good question. If I want to make less of a recipe, I just do the working out and split the recipe in half, quarter. I do this when making the coffee on the ‘getting the most from your TM6’ video. I do believe there’s a software update that is coming soon where there will be an option where you can actually split the recipe for smaller portions. It might even be live now, but I wouldn’t know as I’m away on holiday. Im glad you enjoy my videos, I enjoy making them! Hopefully they’ll be enough to persuade you to make the purchase. Thanks for supporting the channel, it’s much appreciated 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Tried this myself the other week but halved it. Can’t agree more with you on your critique, we both thought it was a little underwhelming, and oddly enough scored it the same as yourself! It was definitely lacking in seasoning and as you said some tom purée. I also made the Mini Saffron Risottos and Zucchini Mousse for some friends last Saturday. The consensus on this was that the mousse (the more “messy” part of the recipe!) didn’t really do anything to add to it, probably the opposite! The risotto was v.good and the bacon powder was a superb addition which I’ll probably use with something else. If I did it again I’d skip the “mouse” and dress it with some pancetta or similar. That said, although the mousse tasted ok, we felt it just didn’t compliment the risotto. Horses for courses ‘n all that!
@Kev U.K I always enjoy reading your replies. You sound like a proper foodie with a similar palate to myself. One thing you’ll always get with me is an honest review, and I did find the dish a tad underwhelming. There’s definitely more out there for the TM6. I’ll definitely have to give this risotto a try, is it a U.K recipe on Cookidoo? I’m uploading the thermomix mince pie video in December, the pastry is so simple if you haven’t already tried it. I also recommend the chilli which I’ve just uploaded last week. It freezes very well. Thanks again for your wonderful support, I very much appreciate it. Keep up with those comments mate. RTF
@@RichieTheFoodie I always get an honest review from my better half as well😄 The risotto was in old money (lbs & oz), and before adjusting the servings fed a thousand, so I’m sure it’s one from across the pond! I’ll look out for the mint spy recipe, although I’ll have to take into account gf pastry, which shouldn’t be too much of a problem. I’m attending a TM Christmas demo on Saturday here in Manchestoh, so I’m looking forward to learning something new, and tasting something new as well!

@@RichieTheFoodie hey, Richie! I haven't been doing much yet because I'm looking to buy another house. @Bob S well the first question I’d ask your wife, is does she like cocktails? 😃 because the tm6 makes mean cocktails! Lol I’m unsure if your wife is a good cook? If not, she would be when using the tm6. It’s brilliant for those not confident in the kitchen. It saves space because you can get rid of some of your other equipment. It organises your food week very well. When you’re cooking wonderful meals for the Mrs, the traditional way, you’ll make them even quicker and nicer for her as the tm6 has your back has a sous chef. It makes pastries and pasta dough etc brilliantly and consistently. The kitchen will also be tidier and cleaner as there’s virtually no washing up with the tm6. I’d end by telling her it will make your life much easier as a cook, and sometimes more enjoyable. I hope this helps convince the wife, if it does, you owe me a pint 🍺 lol. Let me know if you if you buy one mate. Good luck! And thanks for supporting my channel 😀 RTF
