I'm a new TM6 owner and I haven't tried the sous-vide function yet. I did buy the manual sous-vide accessory pump from the Thermomix website. This will be the first sous vide recipe I will try. That looked amazing and so nice on that modern plate too. Cheers.
@bishea once you start to sous viewer, you’ll never look back! I also use a bag pump instead of a vacuum sealer sometimes. Please let me know what you think of the recipe once you’ve tried it! 😀 Thanks for the nice comment, stand by for more tm6 cooking content! I hope you subscribed 😆 RTF
Hi Richie Iam watching from Australia ,I haven’t bought tm6 yet as I was checking the videos you have put u , you have convinced me to buy one ,asi live alone I wasn’t sure whether it was worth the expense ,but each video you do ,makes me want one The sous. Vid was the clincher thank you
@Jacqueline Brinkoff - hi there. I’m very glad to be of help to you. The sous vide was a clincher for me, too. I do admit I’ve now bought a separate sous vide unit, due to the limited bowl size of the tm6. It’s fine for smaller cuts though, like the roast beef video which is coming up next. If you need any help/support when your new gadget arrives, you know where I am, should you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by and supporting the channel, I appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Love this recipe. Can’t wait to try it. Do you find when sealing the bag that some of the sauce get sucked up and stops getting a proper seal ? Am I doing something wrong ?
It’s possible, yes. My vacuum sealer has a dry/wet option which you select before you seal. I select wet when sealing something like this. This is one of my favourite recipes! Let me know how you get on. Thanks for stopping by 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
I researched the TM6 and other machines and your videos help persuade me. I love my Thelma and your videos and am learning new recipes all the time. Not sous vide yet. I don't have the blade cover, but do have the new stainless steel potato peeler addition. Will this work please?
@Jane Dickerson. Aw I’m so happy my videos helped persuade you. No regrets I hope? Thelma! I call mine Phil 😊 I believe the potato peeler also acts as a baked cover, so yes. I urge you to try sous vide cooking, you will not regret it. Thanks ever so much for supporting my channel and and taking the time to comment 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@carole robinson. Yes I guess you could, but as you use the soaking liquid for the sauce, using fresh will result in a much less impressive sauce. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
I’d only really recommend you cook 2 breasts at a time due to the size of the bowl. You could cook one batch, keep it In the fridge, cook another batch, then reheat it all in a pan. Thanks again for your support, and good luck with the thermie 🙋🏻♂️😀
Hey, Richie. Random question out of pure curiosity. What's the purpose of adding Lemon Juice to the Thermie's jug? Does it make a difference to the boiling point or something like that? I've never tried sous-vide before, so have no knowledge of it. Would you do the same with a regular sous-vide machine? As always, thanks for the detailed video. One can tell you really enjoy making food. Always a joy watching your videos.
@DV Hello there. I hope you’re well. Adding lemon juice to the bowl helps protect it from potential oxidisation/rust, as you’re using water in it for long periods. You wouldn’t necessarily add it to a regular sous vide as they are generally plastic containers. You really should try the sous vide function! You won’t regret it, just don’t forget the blade cover 😀 As always, you’re very welcome, I love making content, and love helping and interacting with my viewers. May I thank you again for supporting my channel. Any more questions, ask away 😀👍🏻. RTF
@Katrina Bishop - hi there. Thanks for tuning in. I’m sorry l should have posted on screen at the time of me popping the bag in the tm6. I did post this at 1.48 but I guess I should put it on screen again. Cook it at 65c or 149f. I hope you enjoy it. Please let me know how you get on! 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@@katrinabishop1899 wow! That is an absolute result then. I’m made up that you loved it. Easy hey? You might even end up doing what I did and buy a separate sous vide unit. Thanks for supporting my channel and dropping comment, it all helps 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@cooking well oh dear! The thermie let you down?! You should try the lemon drizzle cake which I filmed for the channel a while back. It’s an absolute winner! Sous vide chicken is delicious if you haven’t already tried it 😀 RTF
