You can just buy mushrooms if you find the mushroom bell bearing. Much easier to buy them than to farm. For the Ember of Messmer there's one on the road direct west (left on the map) of the Moorn Ruins grace. @@PhillyBeatzGames there's 2 I found so far. One is on the way to cerulean coast. Past the river grace you get halfway through the river. Going down, you'll see a stone pillar/bridge on its side. If you go left before where the crabs are and keep going until you reach the cliff edge it's right there, hanging on a wall. Just look around and you should see it. There's also one that gives you string now. It's around Prospect Town. I suspect there are more, but those are the only 3 I found.
3:43 north of the Moorth Highway, south sight of grace. There are 6 that can be found in the ashes. Only down side is that you’ll have to kill or avoid the undead dragon
9:20 Tip: Turn right and use Margit/Mohg's Shackle to activate Spirit Spring. It allows you to get above the Furnace Golem without having to go all the way to the top.😉
Ember of Messmer farm - Where the soldiers are fighting the ghost flame dragon south of Moorth Ruins. Obviously better if you've killed the dragon, but it's possible to ride in there, grab a bunch and ride out. FYI, once you've beaten the dragon, the soldiers do not spawn there again. Furnace Visage farm - kill the soldiers in the camp where you found the Furnace Keeper's Note. They drop them. The drop rate is low but it's better than nothing.
it’s really not worth all these hassle for just for these tears, the mixed physics lasts so short and there is only one charge. if you really want to kill them for fun, spam ancient dragon lightning on their foot is 10x more fun than farming pots
I feel like Moorth ruins has a better ember grinding spot! Just near the site of grace there is a mounted black knight patrolling. Along the road he’s on there can be found like two or three embers so if you sprint by on torrent and back to the site you should be able to grab them without much fear of the black knight
1:19 for the mushrooms you can actually get a hidden bell bearing inside a breakable pot left of the river mouth cave or at the end of the river. You can get unlimited red flesh mushrooms if you find it.
THIS IS THE MOST ASS GLITCH OF ALL TIME. The one by castle watering hole, that you need to wake up, is the fucking worst. I’ve thrown HUNDREDS of fucking pots (yes, hefty fire pots) and it still just doesn’t work. I’ve tried SO many angles….. skill diff i guess
The furnace visage item is actually farmable, although the drop is extremely rare. I'm the same place you get that Furnace Keeper's note, the common soldiers that spawn there can drop it. There are 6 soldiers - I usually got 1 drop every run with high discovery. I had 60+ is less than 30 min.
The throwing pots one are so frustrating, i finally have a build strong enough to take down the ones u can get on feet but the throwing ones are terrible to deal with
Easiest way I found to take them out is using the spark aromatic with the rolling AoW. Stack fire defense (armor, protection spells, liver and talismans), get a +24 stone shield and put no skill on it set to fire which gives it 100% fire block. Then just run to it's feet and spam the AoW at the ground. It staggers incredibly fast (4-5 casts causes a stagger) plus deals a lot of damage. When it falls, swap to a Misericorde and hit the crit. It was dead then. No need for a second stagger. Took 1 minutes to take it down. I spent more time killing the enemies around it (the one in front of Shadow keep) than actually killing it. It's a stupid OP build and feels cheesy, so I wouldn't use it on regular bosses (I say this now, but haven't fought the last boss yet), but I hate these walking 🔥 🗑️ . They're not fun to fight regularly (the ones you toss fire pots in are fun), they take forever to bring down and some are in terrible areas surrounded by mobs. I don't feel bad at all cheesing them.
You can get 3 furnace visages from hornsent if you bring him a scorpion stew from the old lady in belurat, though you do have to do this before miquella's seal breaks.
I noticed you said almost every furnace golem in the game.... That's because I've yet to see a technique to bring down the one by the castle watering hole... You know ..the one that actually comes out of your television and kills you in real life, about 25 years before you were even born? Yeah that one.
Thanks for the video. I think it is easier to use Dragon Ancient Lightning strike to stagger it until it fells and you do a critical hit, two times and it is gone. Can be pure faith, 60 is enough.
There's 2 more hefty cracked pots, one is by the church on top of the entrance into the dlc and another is on the cliffs jumping down the mountain before the fire guy into cerulean coast, they are both hanging from a rope, you just have to shoot them down with a bow
Since you asked for a better farming spot, there is a small messmer soldier encampment with 6 respawning embers of messmer near the Moorth ruins site of grace! :)
if you go to Rivermouth cave and go a little past it to the right you will see a pot you can shoot down. it with give you a Bell Bearing you can use to buy as much redflesh mushroon as you want
How on earth is 3 pots enough to kill the golem at Charo’s hidden grave? I hit it with 6 and it was only at half health. Was this video filmed at scadutree blessing 20 or something?

They do actually massive damage if you have the right talismans and incantations and I remember watching one guy kill the Fire giant using a lightning perfume and just by 5 perfume sprays, the giant is dead
For anyone running intelligence builds, Shard Spiral that you can purchase from Sorceress Sellen in the base game at the end of her quest line breaks their stance pretty easily with multiple casts.
if you really want to trivialize these things just use the spiral glintsone spell, it completely cripples them and is spammable, alternatively you can also use pest threads/spears. if youre throwing pots just use the furnace pots as they basically take 1/3 of their health.
Bro! Thanks for this post. Im running a mage this play through and went to get shard spiral and it shreds these furnace golems! It staggered twice. Fell in a spot that I couldn't get a crititcal hit but when he stood up he had next to no health. 10/10
spot for the Embers uhh, cant think of the grace off the top of my head but its the grace that has the 3 Black Knights around a camp and another ruin. Oh! Where you fight the first duel with the Martial Arts Master dude too! There are... 2 or 3 (again I dont remember for sure) along the road one of the Black Knights patrols
14:00 You can actually kill it from here if you are fast enough. For me, it took 3 furnace pots, 1 to activate it, and another 2 to kill it. Idk if the first one damages it, but it only took 3 for me. Might be different for you, as it might’ve been a glitch.
Glad to see that you can deal with these golems in an easier and more efficient way that still requires effort but is actually more fun than trying to fight these things "normally". What's more resources to make the pots aren't a problem to find. For the better pots you can get easy 3 or something furnace visages if you bring the Grandma scorpion soup(the one in the Belurat village) to the Hornsent follower of Miquela(dude with bandages on his head). He will give you several visages as thanks. To unlock the soup you need to speak with Grandma while wearing the Dancing Lion head. Do it multiple times until she gives you the soup. You can get another soup if you use it/give away from her as well. As long as she lives you can get them.
More efficient? Obviously none of the golems went ultra instant the second you pressed throw and obviously you didn’t have to learn there only x amount of furnace visages locking you out of whatever rewards the golem holds
@@Dngotem Well I waited with any ng+ for the DLC so I'm not going to face that problem but yeah, dmg scaling seems to be borked if even 8 pots is not enough. Better wait for a patch before blowing through all the pots.
The first Furnace Golem can be killed from above, just shoot it with arrows from the ledge to the east - then drop pots into him - you may need to get his attention a couple of times if he returns to his area.
Great video! I just just killed the last Fire Golem thanks to you! So, I killed most of them the old fashioned/bite their ankles way. This was partly because they made it clear that there were only a very limited number of items in the world to make the stronger pots. But understood the armored ones would need fire pots. I am sure I am not alone when I say the two different strengths of fire pots was a bit confusing. And yes, I understand about the Furnace Visage etc. I guess my main...um...gripe about the whole deal is: because the "throwing pot" is a new mechanic (several have to be awakened by pots while others can only be killed by pots) why do they make both the visages "scarce" and also the Black Pyreflies a limited quantity???? When I tried to craft my last batch of the non-visage pots I ran out of fireflies!!! only to discover the only ones left were at the Round Table store (after turning in Moore's Bell Bearing. But my gripe is there are only 8. I had assumed the non-visage pots used things we could farm... if we needed to. Wrong (LOL) And I believe several are needed for each pot. Luckily I squeaked by with enough to complete this, but besides being a terrible aim with these things, (and of course I did improve with each pot thrown) and crafting them while fighting is not the best idea! Ha ha. I was getting a bit...let's say peeved that the lesser pots were NOT infinitely craftable because buying Pyreflies wasn't an option past 8. My aim was def not the best, and I wasted more than a few pots. But I would have been even more stressed if I realized earlier that there is a real chance of not being able to kill all of them because - - running out of fireflies? Anyway this comment is too long! Ha ha. Just glad to cross these Wickermen off my list and your video made it easy for me to find the last couple and kill them. Thanks again.
These are the most infuriating things to fight in this entire game. It’s not based on skill it’s based on rng. They will kick, then stomp and then jump back to back. No way to heal. Not even going to go into the wonky grab when you’re facing it’s side. Not front, but side near the back. For me it’s worst with torrent. I’m using +10 Marias executioners sword (Eochaid’s dancing blade). I’m lucky to get 1 knock down yet alone two. Once I get to 1/4 health that’s when the spamming back happens. I’m so sick of these things.
I’m doing ranged only, so I’ve tested fire bolts, explosive bolts, and explosive greatbolts, none of which work the same as pots 😑 and I hit his legs over 200 times in a row with crossbow; ranged weapons don’t seem to count toward that hit amount that knocks him over. Shooting him in the face while he is standing ALSO didn’t do any extra damage. 😒
For easier Embers of Mesmer, spawn at the Moorth Ruins grace. Then get onto the road and ride it north. You will find about 6 Embers just on this road if you ride till the northernmost campsite gate and back.
Right to the entrance of Shadow Keep where destroyed golems laying down and you can find Furnace Keeper's Note with info how to destroy them I found that mobs there drops Visage. At least they did it for me once. So probably worth to check it if you can farm enough Visages.
All the one by the water hole does is drop buyer all over you if you try to get underneath them If you're too far away he kicks fire at you and just for good measure he'll grab you every now and then or jump up with both feet and instantly destroy your whole family in real life... I hate this game I wish someone would put scissors in my eyes and real life
Farming location for furnace visages, and an ember of mesmer: to the right of shadow keep main entrance. 5-6 bandits moderate chance to drop (they’re by a decayed furnace golem)
Redflesh Mushroom farming - Greatbridge North side of grace. Are x6 on the small plateau/hill, to left of the burnt out village. Slightly more efficient farm and simpler imo
Faith kings and queens can beat these guys fairly easy if they are unarmored. Just pump your fire resistance and then stand under them and spam the red lighting aoe (cant remember the name) and dodge when it stomps or aoes. The stomp and jump explosions is easy to dodge just jump
I wanted to figure out how to kill these guys easily and didn't look at who made the video. After I started watching, I recognized the voice, and it was a surprise to see Phillybeatzu making Elden Ring content. That was probably the last thing I expected. Great guide by the way.
So wait, hefty pots are in limited supply and the dlc only givez you enough to kill one furnace??? Not gonna bother. Id rather spend a hundred attempts on a boss fight than any time farming at all.
For Ember of Mesmer just go to Moorth Highway South to the ruined camp where you fight the dragon, the place is empty after the fight, use Torrent, there are 4 embers there easy and quick to grab, better that one by one.
I found a decent amount of those embers along the trail leading from the Castle of Reprimand. I'm sure i wasted a couple of hefty pots before seeing this video, unfortunately.
Im sure someone has mentiones this already, but there are other places to get furnace visages, and you can get more than 8 hefty pots. Idk what the total is but im at 10 already and im not done exploring.
Oh... thats much more simple. I just used black steal great hammer with cragblade, flame protect me, flame drake +2/3, and a whole lot of jumping and patience.
Just fight them on horseback. Hit the feet and jump when necessary. It is easier bc of the double jump. These fellows are easier than the base game's golems.
The soldiers on the right side of the black keep front door, the ones guarding the broken golems, carries furnace visage on them. They can be farmed over and over for it. I get about 4 per round.
Came here to find out if I'm doing something wrong. Threw 6 furnace pots into the head of the first fire golem after i knocked him down. Almost no damage. What gives?
The only good thing about this video. Is I found a lot of good talismans And Ashes of war from creeping around this castle, I could never find that Location from your Video
Before I watch the video, I've just been standing under them, jumping over and over, and using torrent to dodge the big explosion with the mounting I frames while swinging my great sword over and over until they topple. Take a while but can do it hitless now.
Furnace golems were a paun until i figured out a method of fighting them: borderline heavy roll armor defensive talasmans and physic and focus 95% on when the stomps are coming while mashing heavy attack. Youll get it eventually and it cant hurt you much in return! As expected i havent started on the armored ones yet lol.
@@umarthdc its... actually easier to just use the defensive physic and some talasmins. The fire stomps dont hurt much if you mistime the leap. You still want to dodge but this way you can focus on actually fighting instead of making sure you pull out torrent. The golems will die VERY quickly after so you dont have to worry about much. The double stomp is still real dangerous though.
I try throwing pots into his fire when he's staggered, but they don't seem to do any damage. I don't know if I'm missing a sweet spot or what. I might just stick to going for the crits on the regular ones and save the pots for the armored ones
There are two Hefty Crack Pots in the Belurat Gaol. The one in the maze, and the one in the chest (platforming section going down with many hanging pots)
For the ones without leg guards i actually forego torrent entierly to use unending dance with the stance break tear and multi hit buffs. Blender go burrrr, also you dont need torrent to avoid the single stomps.
Seems like fromsoft changed the location of the hefty cracked pot in the belurat gaol. I found it in the room in a chest where you jump down using the pots.
You can Just beat them with deaths poker because they stand in one area so long the Frostbite ghost flame, and explosion at the foot Will melt them quick.
I guess for the second one at the ancient east your supposed to just ignore that giant archer shooting those big ass arrows at you while you try to take down the furnace golem, because you can’t get to him.
Do people not stack fire resistance and flame protection buffs and fire prelate armor etc... i feel like that is entirely missed by majority of the players Then go do this method
I really really hate your video now because you put a spoiler into the video how to get to new hidden areas!! Was definitely not necessary for the topic of the golems

There's also one that gives you string now. It's around Prospect Town. I suspect there are more, but those are the only 3 I found.
I found em by accident man I love exploring 😂
@@D00MTR33-There is also one that allows you to buy Fly Mold and who wouldn't want that?😏
@@canadianjoker5033 where do you find that one? I found 5 (2 mushroom, string, Herb and resin) but not that one. I figured there's more out there.
3:43 north of the Moorth Highway, south sight of grace. There are 6 that can be found in the ashes. Only down side is that you’ll have to kill or avoid the undead dragon
Thanks Akosa for sharing!!!
Yeap thanks for the tip man!!
9:20 Tip: Turn right and use Margit/Mohg's Shackle to activate Spirit Spring. It allows you to get above the Furnace Golem without having to go all the way to the top.😉
is there anyway to activate the spring without the shackle?
@@jw81687-Yes, you have to find the stone stack and break it. It's easier to just use a shackle, though.
Lol when I read that note it had me looking all over for a furnace. I threw my pots at the dungeon furnaces where you grab weapons from…lol
You can tell dude's never heard some of these words said out loud before 🤣
1:42 there's actually a bell bearing that contain mushrooms and redflesh in the river bank locations
Ty
Dude I get into position and then by the time I do they just spam the fire homing missle attack and I spend the entire time running for my life ☠️
Yea it’s extremely annoying
THIS IS THE MOST ASS GLITCH OF ALL TIME. The one by castle watering hole, that you need to wake up, is the fucking worst. I’ve thrown HUNDREDS of fucking pots (yes, hefty fire pots) and it still just doesn’t work. I’ve tried SO many angles….. skill diff i guess
YES ME TOO CANT WAKE HIM UP SUMTHING WRONG I THINK
Be Careful using up all your Furnace Visage's (I think there are 40 in the whole game) as a few are needed for a secret area late on.
i found 6 of them naturally
i used this method to kill the first golem: from the other side of the bridge go up. And call its attention with a greatbow.
Thanks for the vid man, big help. Also fantastic background music choice, flame core theme from sonic 06 is peak
Glad you liked it!
The throwing pots one are so frustrating, i finally have a build strong enough to take down the ones u can get on feet but the throwing ones are terrible to deal with
The large volcanic pot also works for hunting the furnace golems, and they have a d.o.t. effect on them, downside is you need gas stones.
i didnt know pots were limited items T-T i wasted 8 crafting hefty freezing pots. brb sobbing
Limited items are dumb
i mean you can use em, go fight some enemies you have a vendetta against.
Then go and craft fire and furnace hefties to knock these golems out
Can't you just...use the pots then craft the fire ones after?
Also wear the pot head and talisman. Took down furnace golem with three hefty furnace pots.
3 Hefty pots is all it took without pot head or talismans
Awesome video! Really helped me out. Also, it's pronounced poe-ten-tate. It means a monarch or ruler. Cheers!
Good to know!
Thank you for putting in all the work here. Much appreciated.
Yo appreciate you for sharing this thank you!!!
@@PhillyBeatzGames you're welcome. 👍🏻
Unfortunately this doesn't work with the ones who have armour on their feet. I tried a bunch of times and their health bar never moved.
You can get 3 furnace visages from hornsent if you bring him a scorpion stew from the old lady in belurat, though you do have to do this before miquella's seal breaks.
wow thanks for the info!
You're referring to bell bearings, not Hefty Cracked Pots. There are 10 in total, he missed 2 is Belurat Goal.
Since you asked for a better farming spot, there is a small messmer soldier encampment with 6 respawning embers of messmer near the Moorth ruins site of grace! :)
thanks for this man, can the furnace golem at 15:35 be killed by melee combat? it seems to not have armor on its feet
Yes
if you go to Rivermouth cave and go a little past it to the right you will see a pot you can shoot down. it with give you a Bell Bearing you can use to buy as much redflesh mushroon as you want
How on earth is 3 pots enough to kill the golem at Charo’s hidden grave? I hit it with 6 and it was only at half health.
Was this video filmed at scadutree blessing 20 or something?
It's not pronounced "vis" + "age"
It's pronounced "viz" + "ige"

@@PhillyBeatzGames the Hefty Fire Pot (new ones that don’t use up a furnace visage)
"Rhino or porcupine boss"
Bruh... that's a hippopotamus, lol. The bosses name is Golden Hippopotamus, lmfao.
or just delete everything with perfume bottles🤫
Shhhhh
Are perfume bottles effective against them?
They do actually massive damage if you have the right talismans and incantations and I remember watching one guy kill the Fire giant using a lightning perfume and just by 5 perfume sprays, the giant is dead
For anyone running intelligence builds, Shard Spiral that you can purchase from Sorceress Sellen in the base game at the end of her quest line breaks their stance pretty easily with multiple casts.
You're my GOAT men, it's 100 times easier
@@Aleponceee Haha thanks! I was searching for them after I found that out. Can take them down in less than a minute!
if you really want to trivialize these things just use the spiral glintsone spell, it completely cripples them and is spammable, alternatively you can also use pest threads/spears. if youre throwing pots just use the furnace pots as they basically take 1/3 of their health.
Bro! Thanks for this post. Im running a mage this play through and went to get shard spiral and it shreds these furnace golems! It staggered twice. Fell in a spot that I couldn't get a crititcal hit but when he stood up he had next to no health. 10/10
@@McWarlord You're welcome, glad it helped.
spot for the Embers uhh, cant think of the grace off the top of my head but its the grace that has the 3 Black Knights around a camp and another ruin. Oh! Where you fight the first duel with the Martial Arts Master dude too! There are... 2 or 3 (again I dont remember for sure) along the road one of the Black Knights patrols
First time I’ve of heard of this method. Thanks man!
14:00 You can actually kill it from here if you are fast enough. For me, it took 3 furnace pots, 1 to activate it, and another 2 to kill it.
Idk if the first one damages it, but it only took 3 for me. Might be different for you, as it might’ve been a glitch.
Death Poker+CrimsonWhorl tear got me through every unarmoured FG no problem.
@@Dngotem You can still use the pots that don't require visages. They simply hit for lesser damage.
@@chillax319 aye, but the dmg is not proportionate to ng+ stats, 8 is not enough 😂
I imagine this will be changed soon
@@Dngotem Well I waited with any ng+ for the DLC so I'm not going to face that problem but yeah, dmg scaling seems to be borked if even 8 pots is not enough. Better wait for a patch before blowing through all the pots.
lol talking about fire, nice touch using the lava stage theme from sonic 06!!
After I the sky golem cooked me 2 days ago I decided to hunt them all
you say cheese, I say tasty strategy. thanks for the detailed video 💪
Comet azure uses a physick that stops fp consumption. Wonder what viridian tear will do with warrior builds??
I’m so curious to experiment with them
The first Furnace Golem can be killed from above, just shoot it with arrows from the ledge to the east - then drop pots into him - you may need to get his attention a couple of times if he returns to his area.
Great video! I just just killed the last Fire Golem thanks to you!
So, I killed most of them the old fashioned/bite their ankles way.
This was partly because they made it clear that there were only a very limited number of items in the world to make the stronger pots.
But understood the armored ones would need fire pots. I am sure I am not alone
when I say the two different strengths of fire pots was a bit confusing.
Wrong (LOL)
And I believe several are needed for each pot.
I’m doing ranged only, so I’ve tested fire bolts, explosive bolts, and explosive greatbolts, none of which work the same as pots 😑
and I hit his legs over 200 times in a row with crossbow; ranged weapons don’t seem to count toward that hit amount that knocks him over.
You made any furnace pots!?
Breh I was thinkin how they didn’t add enough buffing material in the dlc. Now ik how to collect them.
Ayeee glad it helped
For Ember of Mesmer just go to Moorth Highway South to the ruined camp where you fight the dragon, the place is empty after the fight, use Torrent, there are 4 embers there easy and quick to grab, better that one by one.
thanks for the tip.
didn't work unfortunately.
i missed every throw...
You did it the hardcore way haha
Just fight them on horseback and double jump their stomps. You'll no-hit them easily.
@umarthdc you don't even need to be on horseback it's tight but you can just jump em
@@AgentSapphire yes, but in horseback is easier
@@umarthdc its... actually easier to just use the defensive physic and some talasmins. The fire stomps dont hurt much if you mistime the leap. You still want to dodge but this way you can focus on actually fighting instead of making sure you pull out torrent. The golems will die VERY quickly after so you dont have to worry about much. The double stomp is still real dangerous though.
@@AgentSapphire thats hella overkill, if you just use torrent theyre probably the easiest enemy to dodge in the entire game
The difference between the limited and the unlimited big pots is very small. Better craft the unlimited ones (obviously, you could miss)❤
The Second Furnace Golem at Castle Watering Hole will Reset if you try to lure him to the edge now. Just a heads up!
I guess for the second one at the ancient east your supposed to just ignore that giant archer shooting those big ass arrows at you while you try to take down the furnace golem, because you can’t get to him.
Do people not stack fire resistance and flame protection buffs and fire prelate armor etc... i feel like that is entirely missed by majority of the players
Then go do this method
I really really hate your video now because you put a spoiler into the video how to get to new hidden areas!!
Was definitely not necessary for the topic of the golems
I can't kill in manys mytyr. He just oneshot over 2000 hp everyve. Absilutly idiotic hardcore
