Yeah, no idea what the people are on about. My last 3 solo remembrance boss fights I had a combined death count of 1 (scorpion lady, hand thing, and putrescent knight) 🤷

@@Moody.SmiruaiInteresting, I found Putrescent and Metyr the easiest bosses in the expansion. Some of their attacks are bastards but when you dodge them, they're done. Gaius and Romina are competing for the 3rd easiest boss here.
I missed these videos. Steam dumpster diving is a phenomenal series, but something about seeing a Iron Pineapple challenge run pop up in my feed made me feel nostalgic. Keep it up with the great content!
milady with the wing stance ash of war is so good, the heavy weapon art stuns most enemies, and heavy is quicker than light plus i think works as a jump attack, it's so good

I was kinda irked that the DLC offered so many items like low tier smithing stones or gloveworts but now I’d like to think Michael Zaki knew people would do challenge runs like this so he peppered that shit in. Bless up to his enormous 5000 iq brain.
Those low level stone were a blessing for me. Since I would constantly upgrade weapons I found.
And even if I can buy them, it still saves me the runes
the low level stuff scattered around is so you can level up all the new weapons without having to spend too much at the merchant
@@yunuss58 I mean it only takes a couple minutes of albinauric genocide to top up your supply of runes so it's never been an issue for me in that regard
Exactly! At first I hated finding low level stuff but then I went to upgrade some new stuff and saw I had like 40 of all the stones and suddenly it made sense. It would have been pointless if it was all 6 and 7. Some of the placements are still underwhelming though@@yunuss58
@@dave7474 I mean, maybe from stones 5 or 6, but kill a couple of DLC enemies and you have enough runes to buy all the low-level stones you'll ever need from Roundtable Hold. Like, saving that kind of money is a little silly at that point. At best it saves you the small amount of time it takes to buy them I guess.

The DLC is extremely fun and very fair if you explore and use the scadutree blessings. Everything is fine... until the second phase of the last boss. The difficulty spike is absolutely insane. Even the first phase of that boss is fair and very fun. But the second phase..

Everyone knows that when Miyazaki was a child and was being hit with a belt, his father would swing the belt with a delay so that he couldn't dodge it. But few people know the continuation of this great story. One day, Miyazaki adapted to this, memorized all possible frames of the belt, and no longer took any damage. However, his father didn't give up and spent two years finding a new way to surprise his beloved son.
Now, his father dealt ten times more damage with the belt, jumped around the room like a madman, and used quick combos of strikes (mixed with the good old delays), making it impossible for Miyazaki's eyes to focus on him. But the father knew that even this was not enough to surprise his son, so now his belt always dealt area-of-effect damage, in case his son tried to roll behind him. And even when Miyazaki thought he was safe and could drink his bottle of Fanta, the belt attack would reach him from across the room. These memories inspired Miyazaki so much that he dedicated an entire DLC to his game "Elden Ring" to this experience.

Gonna guess he upgraded his weapons for that since it wasn't part of the challenge. I'm more impressed by him killing Onze with an un upgraded weapon. Mohg has like, 7 attacks that are all easy to dodge. Onze has approximately 50 quadrillion super fast attacks and several true combos, as well as frostbite, sekiro deflects, and teleports. I'm not ashamed to admit he took me a good few tries on my lvl 150 character because he just utterly bodied me whenever I'd try to heal before I understood his moveset lol
12:02 You know what else you can do? Just block it. Yes, block a grab attack, I don't know why it works either, but their tentacle will bounce off.

PSA: "Scadu" is just an old spelling for "shadow" and is pronounced basically the same way. It's just like how From decided to spell "Jail" as "Gaol", which is also another old spelling. Many will remember this from Bloodborne's "Hypogean Gaol".

Oh god, this has spread too fast to be counteracted by now hasn't it? PSA this isn't true. Gaol is just an alternative spelling for the same word. Scadu is a much, much older word and is pronounced basically exactly as you would assume. The evolution goes something like Skadu (proto germanic) -> sceadwe/sċeadu (old english) -> Schadowe (middle english. This one is actually pronounced pretty similar to shadow, just with that more germanic sch instead of just sh)
"Old English" also called Anglo-Saxon, is super different from modern language. English came from it, but only after over a thousand of years of influence from other languages. It's just genuinely a different language. Even middle english is pretty different

I'm convinced the dlc too hard review bombers actually make this whole thing more intriguing. Even experienced players are moaning like noobs, like they forgot what fromsoft games are.

@@jaycollins2036 I actually think that experienced players make up a lot of those complainers. So many of those seem to be people who only play for bosses, rush there without finding upgrades before, and get destroyed. It saddens me, because this DLC has incredible art direction everywhere, as well as great world design, and those people don't seem to care.
@Darkprosper I basically don't take hardcore souls players who hate on elden ring seriously. They are looking for flaws in a game that overdelivers and is all around fromsofts magnum opus. I take my time playing these games, and this game is tuned for that. There is also the fact that the meta for the dlc is still developing, we've seen this cycle with every game they've released, saying it's too hard then after a year or so of community expiramentation, boss battle methods are discovered and it all ends up fine.
