Thank you, your video was a big help. I found that leaving the last set of screws I was able to flex the bumper enough to replace the parts.

P Cango this is great! So, you didn’t have to take apart all that nonsense completely? I will definitely be trying that next time!

Great video!! Easy to follow and explained very well. Thanks for your help. No way I could've done it without your video.

    Thanks so much!
Without your video I would have broken the joint of the suspension.

kshumon2000 you are welcome! I couldn’t find a video and it took me a little while to figure out how to disassemble it but I knew a video needed to be out there! So glad it helped!

Walter Hicks you are welcome! I couldn’t find a video with a general google search and decided we had better make one! My son just changed out the receiver and the motor so we may have some videos of those soon. We need to set the gear mesh because after his motor replacement his car runs funny. These are fun cars but it seems they are constant maintenance! Maybe that is just 10 year old boys, though! 🤣

@@HomeschoolingUnplugged Constant maintenance is part of the hobby. Cleaning bearings, gears, rebuilding shocks etc. Just like a real car :-). When mating the motor pinion gear to the main spur gear connected to the drive shaft, you do need the correct mesh spacing or the gears can bind. Here is the official Traxxas video: th-cam.com/video/3WPTtcOZ2N8/w-d-xo.html

I also thank you for the paperclip trick. I hope everyone is replacing these with RPM a arms and not Traxxas.

Great demonstration and my prerunner truck arm broke the same place like in the video. And right away I ordered my upgrade ones to replace and good thing I watched the video to practice 😊

So glad to help! When our son’s broke, we searched TH-cam and came up empty so we figured it out and made our own video! So glad it has helped many people!

@@HomeschoolingUnplugged I have my upgraded arms on my truck rc and it looks good. And replaced all of them. 😄

Great video and very helpful. Yours lasted longer than mine. Mine lasted 3 minutes on the first car and 2 days on the second car. The first car became a parts car very fast. I have ordered $250 worth of aluminum parts. I hope that will help.

Thank you, it was very helpful. My rear a-arm snapped in two. I'm in the process of replacing it. Thanks for all the helpful information 👍🙂.

Someone had said there was an easier way, but I didn't test it nor did it occur to me. This was just the way I figured out how to do it.

You can just pop the shock off the ball end. Also, if you invert the shocks you will get a much longer lifespan out of them.

@John Lujan I highly recommend upgrading to the hobbywing brushless setup. Moves pretty quick on the 2s setup (that's what I have) and seen videos of it screaming on the 3s. If you go with 3s might as well buy a bunch of diffs while you're at it.
